@Reflektionz 007 a bit for being too quiet, but at least he's well known as the best player never to make it to the pro bowl (and also for many probably for being listed as a TE in fantasy)

This REALLY surprised me. I go to Hofstra, and we don't even HAVE a football team anymore. Hofstra is pretty obscure when it comes to football, so it's amazing to think that we had such a high caliber receiver. Colston graduated just a few years before the program was terminated in 2009

Gleason unfortunately contracted ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in 2011 which has forced him to be wheelchair-bound due to the paralysis that accompanies this condition. However, he is still an integral part of the Saints organization and a devoted father and husband and an inspiration to many in New Orleans and beyond. In 2011, he was awarded a Super Bowl ring for his contributions to the team. On October 15, 2015, he was at the Saints/Falcons game and was presented with the George Halas Award, and that same night the Saints blocked a Falcons punt and returned it for a touchdown, amazingly echoing Gleason's own blocked punt from 9 years prior.

I remember watching this, and there was an air about this punt. Right before it snapped you could feel something special was about to happen. I was watching with my mother and said to her “that place is so loud.” Then, well the rest is history.

There's a statue of Steve Gleason commemorating the blocked punt and the Saints return to New Orleans. It's like lore in the city, now, something that was determined by fate almost.

Not sure there has ever been a more significant play in NFL history. This play was about so much more than football to all those survivors.

Can we talk about how good of a play that was by Gleason? He lined up further right, cut left immediately as the ball was snapped and had an open lane there. Possibly also a missed assignment by Atlanta, but they went to where he was, not where he was going to be. Incredible.

That could have been a major butterfly effect if Miami signed Brees.
If Brees was as good in Miami. Their coach may have not left. Which was Nick Saban.

      Imagine this.
AFC: we have Brady, Rivers, Payton, Brees, Big Ben etc.
      NFC: uuuhhh...we have an Eli.
*Tom Brady has left the chat*
I know the NFC has more good QBs (Rodgers for starters), but when you subtract Brees and his SB from the NFC it makes the legacy of Eli and the ass-pull era Giants that much bigger.
