  • Hey everyone!
After experiencing some weird noises in my steering and suspension it ultimately led me to replacing my lower control arm bushings on the driver side of my Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Special Edition. Though this is on a 2008 FJ Cruiser, the process would be pretty much the same on most Toyota's, though the part numbers and sizes will probably vary from model or year.
Hopefully this shows you the difficulties of replacing just the bushings and why the easier route is to just to replace the entire lower control arm assembly. But if you're really determined and have the right tools, this is just one method of replacing the bushings in your LCAs. I'm by no means an expert but if I can figure it out, so can you! Just be safe and smart!
I got my parts off rockauto.com and recommend doing some research to see what brands or parts to go with for your specific application. For me, the fjcruiserforums.com is the best resource for information on all things FJ, and I know there are other forums and groups for other Toyota models that can be helpful too.
