This song was my family's theme song for when we moved to Africa in 2001. I was only seven yet i had a good understanding about what was going on. Despite being so young in my life and in my faith, I was still very scared and uncertain of what God had in store for me. I listened to this on repeat the night before my family started our next great adventure. It encouraged me to rely solely on God and put all of my trust in Him, whether I was happy with what was going on or not. Our life is not our own, and this song emphasizes our need to be faithful and allow Gods will to be done in our lives. We lived in Africa for ten years, and God received all the glory for the work that was done there.

After many years of backsliding in the world, i got my heart right with God, and this is one of the first Christian songs that I heard. I junked my worldly music asap and could relate to the lyrics so much. This world has nothing to offer anyone, nada, zilch, zip. The grace of God is everything.
I remember when I got the album on CD as a kid with my portable cd player and this song coming on. I was hooked as a kid and would replay it over and over. My one memory is feeling so cool walking to my friends house on a cold day and just jamming out to this song with my portable cd player.

I even joined the Catholic Church in 2011. But I realized I could be spiritual and connected to God still and that I dont need a church. It's been a freeing experience for me. I remember hearing this song as long as I can remember (born in 1993, song came out 1996). My mom and I would always dance to this in the car every time we got in. My mom even had a license plate that said “DIVININ” 😂
