I am 18 Years old. 6 months ago I was diagnosed with a heavy heart muscle inflammation. I spend weeks in intensive care unit and everyone told me that I have to be very happy to still live on planet earth. I spend the next 6 months fighting my way back into life. 3 weeks ago my treatment came to an end and everything went successfully without complications. I am very happy to be alive. That time I found to God and understood the greatness that comes from heaven above. Amen

Same!! This was one of my favorites as a kiddo. I grew up with sickle cell, and this and one other song, I would always listen to that gave me strength to keep going. Today, I am 30 years old, and this and that one other song still keep me strong every single pain episode I have! They remind me that I’m being taken care of and I will defeat sin and darkness!
Whenever I listen to this song I cry. I was so against religion and God because of how I grew up and I had been struggling my whole life with anxiety, hate and anger and a couple of years ago it got as bad as it could. And I thought I suffered in silence. However, the cries and screams inside of me that no one heard, God heard. And I saw him, and felt him and I still do in everything I do. That was, and still is, the greatest blessing of my life. I found God when I was 27, now Im 30 and I'm devoted, I pray, I try to be the best person I can towards everyone. As I'm writing this I'm shaking but I'm so eternal grateful for this. God is good, and good always prevails!

Last year I was in a coma from sepsis and the doctors all told my mom I was brain dead and should be unplugged because there was no hope. I am 18 Years old. 6 months ago I was diagnosed with a heavy heart muscle inflammation. I spend weeks in intensive care unit and everyone told me that I have to be very happy to still live on planet earth. I spend the next 6 months fighting my way back into life. 3 weeks ago my treatment came to an end and everything went successfully without complications. I am very happy to be alive. I was so against religion and God because of how I grew up and I had been struggling my whole life with anxiety, hate and anger and a couple of years ago it got as bad as it could. And I thought I suffered in silence. However, the cries and screams inside of me that no one heard, God heard. And I saw him, and felt him and I still do in everything I do. That was, and still is, the greatest blessing of my life. I found God when I was 27, now Im 30 and I'm devoted, I pray, I try to be the best person I can towards everyone. Saying one is born an atheist is an example of a category error, i.e., the application of labels to something that has no properties in that category.

Saying children are “born” atheists, meaning that they do not believe in God, is to simply misdefine both belief and atheism.
Despite what some claim, atheism is not a passive lack of commitment; rather, it is an active denial of the existence of God.
Those who lack the knowledge to decide the question of God’s existence are “soft agnostics,” not “atheists.”
Further, newborns also don’t “believe” in whales, algebra, or Abraham Lincoln, so what an infant “believes” has very little to do with what is real.
