I know, right? Like people, get a pair of glasses or sth. They are saying the same thing about the girl from Sex Education, Emma Mackey. It doesn't really matter
@@nia8593 how is seeing thousands of comments comparing her to a another actor something she'll feel flattered about.... Like can people talk about her acting instead 10/10! Sure that's what she would wanna see
They both are exaggerated satires of the rich and privileged. Ready or Not is more comedic but it falls in a similar vein to Get Out, Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Wives and so on.
JackDoesYT But.... it IS a satire. I think a film, especially one like Get Out, can be nuanced enough to be more than one thing. Satire is the use of humour or exaggeration to expose certain topical issues. In Get Out it was racism. I’m Ready or Not it was the class divide.
so glad people are out here putting a spotlight on the behind the scenes stuff like this!!! SO DOPE and so helpful as someone who is interested in this field!!!
Kudos to the costume designer. First off, can we appreciate that she was in sneakers for this movie, instead of the bullshit 'woman in heels when it would literally be better to be barefoot' cliche. Second, that dress is GORGEOUS, and the way it was altered and utilized during the movie was genius.
This movie was insanely unexpected to me. I went only having seen the commercial for it, I did not expect it to be so funny, if you’re considering going to see it, I recommend,
So, the costume designer deserves an award and I’m glad that her work is being recognized here! 💖 Also, working with continuity. 👌🏼 Kudos, my darling! As a script supervisor, I feel this to the bone!
I agree. A lot of people r treating it as if it’s a dumb-fun flick, but I think there’s so much more to it. It feels innovative yet retro, in a way. Provides a similar feel to Clue with a completely different premise
Yup. I watched the movie and the dress looks incredibly mesmerising. I really love the transformation and amazingly appreciate the great efforts on it.. Bravo!
Kudos to the costume designer and the whole team in making the dresses! 24 dresses?! That's a lot!! I can imagine all the hard work and the technicalities that were poured into this film ❤️
Samara weaving is so amazing...she came from being on Aussie soap operas (to be fair that's how an insane amount of Australian A list celebrities got started )...It's so exciting though that she came from Australia, overcame that whole Smilf awful thing and has risen like a Phoenix...I'm so impressed.
G M sometimes people only do wedding dresses. Depends on money, tredition, and the woman. This is a treditional family and probubly didnt like the thought.
Legit, the moment I saw the dress in the movie, I knew I want something similar one day when I get married. It's so beautiful. And the movie was so underrated, I love it!
I saw this video yesterday and I just HAD to watch the movie... So I just finished watching the movie and the movie is so amazing but it also makes me appreciate this dress transition even more... Because not once does it feel like she's wearing different clothes.. It's just mind-blowing..
It reminds me of the journey that Scarlett O'Hara's purple dress takes in Gone With The Wind. There were several sizes of the dress produced to make it appear as Scarlett's weight was fluctuating throughout the end of act 1 & beginning of act 2. Garments changing with the story is one of the most intriguing parts of costume design.
The dress at the beginning of the movie is absolutely gorgeous! It was a good choice not to use a princess gown for the movie that would of made the dress continuity so much harder lol
Just recently watched the movie it was really good! and I like how the dress changes throughout the movie to represent how grace changes in the movie as well
Me and my classmates had a movie concept for our yearbook, and one of my group from the class pickef this movie, the "bride"'s mom had a tailored dress, so that it would look similiar as the movie, looks dope on her. And her group killed it.
my mother loved this movie... which says a lot since english is our second language and she hardly knows any hollywood movies and actors. it's just good and entertaining. i was looking at this dress and i really though it's a beautiful dress.
Its fun to hear about how they were inspired by Die Hard with main character of this movie and her dress and remembering that i was actually had some Die Hard vibes when i watched this film. Hats off, job well done.
I like that the person who designed the dresses designed it based on personality.🤷🏽♀️ And everyone in the comments are right that she looks like Margot Robbie.😂💀
When I saw her in The Babysitter I thought she looked like a combination of Emma Stone, and Margot Robbie. You can see Emma in her eyes. Do you see it too?
Stop saying she looks like Margot. We get it. It's in all the damn comments. Let's all take a moment to appreciate how talented Samara is instead 💫
I know, right? Like people, get a pair of glasses or sth. They are saying the same thing about the girl from Sex Education, Emma Mackey.
It doesn't really matter
Freedom of expression yall
Do you speak for Samara? I'm sure shed be flattered to be compared to Margot Robbie
@@nia8593 how is seeing thousands of comments comparing her to a another actor something she'll feel flattered about....

She is tho
Everyone needs to see this movie. It was honestly sooo good. Horror comedy's are rare these days, this one is in the same awesome zone as Get Out.
They both are exaggerated satires of the rich and privileged. Ready or Not is more comedic but it falls in a similar vein to Get Out, Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Wives and so on.
Get Out is essentially a giant metaphor for racism, not an “exaggerated satire”
JackDoesYT But.... it IS a satire. I think a film, especially one like Get Out, can be nuanced enough to be more than one thing. Satire is the use of humour or exaggeration to expose certain topical issues. In Get Out it was racism. I’m Ready or Not it was the class divide.
R_Panda I guess you’re right. Either way, I still see the two movies as very different.
It was one of my favorite films
That’s one way of changing the color of a dress from white to red.
I-
I mean, yeah
Period?
I don’t see any flaw in this explanation.
The red is blood 🙄

and she was like 😁

Go costume designer! Nice to see a designer getting to be a part of a films marketing!!
First comment
yes ! I think it's super interesting and should be included more
It’s scary how identical she looks like Margot Robbie
Wishing Star. Omgggg I thought it was her
OMG Same Thought
Wait....isn't that Margot?
I thought it was Margot Robbie lol
I’m pretty sure it’s the same girl from the movie The Babysitter
She looks like if margot robbie and Emma stone had a daughter
Sofia Dominguez I originally thought it was one of them then was confused when I looked up the film. Good movie though.
@@m.bcupid4179 sameeee
Sofia Dominguez for me it’s more like if you put together Margot Robbie and Lily James
BRO YESSSSS
Spot on
Kudos to the costume designer. First off, can we appreciate that she was in sneakers for this movie, instead of the bullshit 'woman in heels when it would literally be better to be barefoot' cliche.

Yeah, totally agree. The ending was quite weird though.
yeah I agree...there were parts funny but in a scary way and there were parts like funny funny😂
Archie Leonida the people next to me thought it “ruined the movie” but I thought it was funny, it was like the movie was made to confuse your emotions
I dont..
reya porche okay?
The dress is a paid actor
yes
I think it’s abuse then
*Why* haven't Samara and Margot Robbie been cast as sisters yet...? 🤔
CynAnne1 plus Emma Stone! They could play three sisters!
Samara or Margot could be each others stunt doubles
This needs to happen
tripets? perhaps?
Probably to make sure they have their own brand and identities.
Samara Weaving did such a killer job in this role. The whole movie is great but she makes it.
Ok, but Samara Weaving was absolutely *stunning* in this movie.
I want my imaginary girlfriend to wear these on our imaginary wedding
Keep imagining
I only watch the trailer hahaha.
Can we just take a moment to praise your profile pic😂
i wouldn't mind being part of an imaginary wedding
She's imaginara weaving
The outfit for the protagonist of the Silent Hill movie also went through the same process. It was absolutely scarlet by the end of the film.
kukon And in Us, as well! :)
So, the costume designer deserves an award and I’m glad that her work is being recognized here! 💖 Also, working with continuity. 👌🏼 Kudos, my darling! As a script supervisor, I feel this to the bone!
This movie is one of the best of the year, I can’t recommend it enough

What I want to see next:
•How the hall of mirrors scene was shot for It Chapter Two
•How Joaquin Phoenix got into character for 'Joker'
DEKSTORD any movie scene with a shit ton of mirrors would be a mindfuck to edit.
I had no idea that actress was not Margot Robbie.
katwil89 same hahaha
What ? She is not ?!!

She was amazing in this movie. The ending was a bit weird though.
This costume designer and Samara Weaving are so freaking talented

Wow I didn’t know that
I thought it was the same dress ;w;
Ikr i feel so stupid now😂

That only means she did a good job ^-^
They should've cast her, Emma Stone, and Margot Robbie as sisters in The Little Women.
Everyone woulda been to confused
emma mackey tho
and Jamie Pressly

What I don't get is, why didn't she change into a reception dress after the wedding? Why would she attend a games parlour in her wedding dress?
Crazy rich, remember?
Shinta Listya
Being crazy rich only means that she would have EVEN MORE dresses to change into...
G M sometimes people only do wedding dresses. Depends on money, tredition, and the woman. This is a treditional family and probubly didnt like the thought.

traditional? I don’t think this is like any traditional family I have ever seen? Killing the bride isn’t tradition here in the states...
@@bibble4135 the dress part is tradition. The killing part is a tradition that is something completely different.

I love her dress. I remember seeing the commercial and thinking that's what I want my wedding dress to look like if I'm ever married haha.
And I love the way her dress is used as another way to tell the story 💕
I never would have thought i'd be interested in a 6 minute video about a wedding dress. Then Ready or Not came out. Such a great film!
All the costumes look amazing
The dress at the beginning of the movie is absolutely gorgeous! It was a good choice not to use a princess gown for the movie that would of made the dress continuity so much harder lol
She looked so so pretty at the start her dress her hair everything her makeup was perfect

Yes she is
this movie is so good! Incredible work
John Wick: Pencil
Anna: Plate
Grace: Wedding dress

She deadass looks exactly like if Margot Robbie and Emma Stone had a kid
Samara Weaving is gorgeous and she has an amazing personality!
i actually REALLY LOVE the wedding dress (the clean one obvi) and i don’t usually like sleeves but it’s SO PRETTY
Thank u for the warning once I see the movie ill continue the video
Oh I love this movie
"In laws" memorable
Its nice how you highlighted this, usually the people that work behind the scenes get little attention
It was filmed at Casa Loma in Toronto! At least parts were filmed there.
Im thingking of buying the same functionable wedding dress in my wedding just to be ready
It's like that one episode of America dad where Francine finds her real family and they all kill each other
At first I thought that Samara was Margot twin , but she is completely different as actress. Love her so much, such a beauty
This is why I wanted to watch this movie because of the wedding dress😂
The scene where she rips off some of the dress was so satisfying tho.
wait... that is NOT margot robbie????
but one of the things i loved most when watching this movie was the dress, so this is really cool to watch
It’s like Margot Robbie and Emma Stone And Debby Ryan had a kid.

Samara weaving look so beautiful ❤️
love this ! I needed a breakdown for my Halloween costume so I can get an idea of the dress
Lesson learned: in my future wedding I will make a functional dress
The dress is really pretty in the beginning

There was a similar theme of the evolving wedding dress in rec 3.
