As always, your videos are so clear, informative and inspirational. This will be a quick fun way to test out the flowers in the garden here. Can't wait to find out if anything I have will work equally as beautifully as the correopsis you used! Thank you.

I just discovered your channel and am so excited to try this method. I've been mono printing garden leaves with ink and acrylic but this method is so intriguing. Do you have a list or can you tell me where I can find a list of plants/ flowers that will be color fast? Thank you so much!
I've been experimenting this past week with botanical printing and yours is the first demonstration I've seen that doesn't include full immersion of the paper. I like the crisp, clean image the steaming produces. Did you use alum as your mordant? Thanks!
I stumbled on your video while taking a break from gathering supplies for eco printing and coreopsis from my backyard! I had to alter your method somewhat, but the keys for me were to not add a ton of water to my paper and the realization that the nice little coreopsis blooms released color quickly. I got some very nice images! Thank you so much!
Hello Jamie, your tutorials are very helpful since you go into depth and explain every details. I have a feedback regarding the lighting of your videos. I believe the videos are too bright and I guess it is because of the ISO set up, and is harsh on the eyes. Also, could be because you have a white background. So if you reduce the ISO it would be better to view. Please take this as a suggestion and not a negative feedback. I love watching your videos as they are very insightful. Much love🤎
@@thebarefootdyer I suggest also using a microphone...I have a difficult time understanding what you are saying, especially because you have music over it. There are quite a lot of new terms for me that I have a hard time catching. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this video! When you steam, is it water that has already boiled and it condensing off the burner, or should the prints be put into the pot on an actively-boiling pot of water?
I'm having trouble finding aluminum acetate (unless in big expensive amounts). Would any of regular grocery store alum, aluminum sulfate or soda ash (all available on Amazon) work as well? If not, where is the best place to buy aluminum acetate?
Hi! I tried this tutorial with cardboard and smaller binder clips. I used tansy and yarrow flowers. It didn’t work, do you have any tips for what might have went wrong?
I’m so sad I tried this four times I’ve got all the ingredients. I followed all the steps and nothing worked, but I did use dried coreopsis or pressed coreopsis I mean so I don’t know what I did wrong. I’m really sad because I really wanted this to work. do you have any tips?
Yes! It can be purchased from many dye suppliers. Botanical Colors is a trustworthy source. It can also be made at home using aluminum potassium sulfate, soda ash and vinegar.
Such a great prints!!! :) I really love coreopsis 💛 One question, I’m not sure wich mordant you use, you speak very fast for me and my english is not that pro ☺️ Thank you!!!! 🙏🏼
I am so sad I tried this. I got all the ingredients and it did not work for me, but I only had access to press coreopsis not fresh. I don’t know if that’s what the problem was.
Thank you a lot for sharing this!! I start to eco print few months ago with the iron water and I'm doing experiments since then.. But somehow it wasn't going well all the time there for I came to RUclips to find what's the wrong, and I founded you! I will try this new way I hope it's gonna work for me, One last thing, is there any other place on social media that I can send you a messages? Instagram? Facebook? I would love to communicat with you ♥♥♥
Going down this rabbit hole and I'm finding your tutorials so accessible. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you Jackelin! That’s so good to hear!
Really hope you’ll be sharing how to eco print leaves soon!

It's so much simpler than what I was doing, and with better results.. Thank you!
Thank you! I am just getting into this and yours has been the most complete and clear video so far!❤

Beautiful results! Quicker and less messy than other videos I've watched. Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year 😊

I've never seen this before but it is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Amazing video, I can not wait to try ! Thank you!
This is such a fun exciting project! Do the flower types matter? I bought a bouquet from the store and my prints are not nearly as clear. Any tips?

That’s so wonderful!! Coreopsis is such a joy to work with!
Hi this is a great video, thank you. I am wondering what other flowers would give a similar result please?
Is there an alternative to aluminum acetate? I'm staying away from all forms of aluminum but would love to try this project. Thank you!
I wish you yes question was answered!!!
Oops! I rewatched that segment of the video and heard you mention aluminum acetate. Somehow I missed that the first time.
Lovely video. What was the substance you put into the water to soak the paper please?
Beautiful and well done!

@@aiai-j7i same here! I couldn't hear clearly what kind of liquid you used. Water and ? Thank you

They should be put in with active boiling water but held above the water.
Very beautiful. But how long does the color last?
Beautiful!!!🌸❤️

Gorgeous 😍
Thank you for sharing ❤
Can you do more than two pieces of paper at a time?
Is there a way to make the eco print on paper permanent ? Or at least fairly permanent. Thank you.
They are so beautiful!!!! Can i use pansys ir butterfly pea flowers?
Thank you! You can but they aren’t colorfast and will fade quickly. ♥️
Beautiful ❤

where do you purchase aluminum acetate?
I love your video quality. What kind of camera do you use for fluid focus transitions? 🙏
Thanks so much! I use a Canon R5.
Beautiful work

Could I use aluminium sulphate for the same result, or do I need to mix it with calcium acetate?

@@thebarefootdyer oh now i got it 😍
Thank you so much for a lovely video.
I only have aluminium sulfate and not aluminum acetate - would that still be ok?
Aluminum sulfate will work - not quite as well but it should be just fine, especially for paper. ☺️
How light fast is the color?
after how many washes natural dye fades?
Such a great prints!!! :) I really love coreopsis 💛 One question, I’m not sure wich mordant you use, you speak very fast for me and my english is not that pro ☺️ Thank you!!!! 🙏🏼
I think it is aluminium acetate ;) but I suppose you can use alum just the same... To be confirmed!
Aluminum acetate ☺️ Thank you for the feedback.
@@thebarefootdyer ❤ Thanks to you for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏽 !
@@thebarefootdyer thank you!!! ☺️
Can you tell me we’re to get paper?
I love it
Thanks Rebecca!
Did you scour the paper?
Are there particular flowers that work best ? I tried with lavender and hydrangea and got almost no color on my 100 % cotton paper 🥹
I am so sad I tried this. I got all the ingredients and it did not work for me, but I only had access to press coreopsis not fresh. I don’t know if that’s what the problem was.
