My high school band plays this a lot. I was in band in 9th and 10th grade but quit after that (I'm a senior now). I admit that I miss playing this song the most.
I play bass in pride of the valley marching band , check out our version of this, when we did our version it was just a few of us in a practice room not the whole band
Asdfghjkl It's Jill we play it as a stand tune I was on baritone and couldn't get the hard part luckily tubas don't have that and that's what I'm doing next year hopefully
@Reesestunna88 O yyea sometimes on music pieces the band director tells yuh to slur , because my band dirctor tuh slur on some 16th notes on one of my music pieces
It's fine!! Every instrument factors in I mean I know i'm only 11 and in 6th grade but 3 out of 4 of our bands are amazing but in my band we have so many clarinets.. I play saxophone though so I don't know what it feels like to play the clarinet..
I wasn't trying to be impressive. I play flute for fun. Not competition. I thought the song was cool because I was new to playing the flute. So, sorry for not impressing you when I wasn't trying to.

we've got this with our concert band which is about a third the size of this! But we have tubas instead of sousaphones. Cant beat us tubas!
This was the pre-Spurlin era. The trumpet line and band only got better after him.
