I'm looking into starting a small scale mushroom farm, I feel like I've got the knowledge and skillset constantly get harvests. My worry is about finding restaurants to sell to. We have a lot of vegans and hipsters in my city, but I don't know if restaurants are usually interested in getting a single product from a distributor.

That's been my biggest insecurity too. All I can think is to take what I've grown for myself, that I'm proud of, as example and go talk with people. Lots of little places will have that "supporting local growers" image... I'll start there I think? Also, for any stores or restaurants that DO talk with me, I can see what they have to say as a "wish list"... market research I guess?
Good luck!! If you have success, perhaps YOU can post some videos with your wisdom and ideas... 😁

Nice selection of people growing on a small scale and making it work for them. We are really enjoying our home grown mushrooms which we added to our large home grown vegetable garden.

I like to grow mushrooms but my handicap is that I searched in my country Lebanon and I couldn't find any supplier to buy from him what I need. The ones sold here are the complete kits for farms already established. Do you know anyone who could help please?

May I ask the kind of revenue you are looking at from your mushroom growing? Me and my roommate are college students looking to get into the mushroom growing business.
Our plan so far is to hopefully start working at a local mushroom farm to gain more experience and connections in the mushroom farm business, start doing small scale mushroom growing projects in our own home and eventually make a full-fledged mushroom business.
Your youtube channel is incredibly informational and am looking forward to learning from you guys. Any tips or guides appreciated
