My homage to Disneyland's original attraction, TWA Rocket To The Moon. This is a fan film. No copyright infringement is intended, no profit is being made.
This was probably my favorite ride as a child! No other amusement park could match the inventiveness & uniqueness of Disneyland. Hugely influential, it is the greatest park ever built!
Really outstanding work. Well done! You’ve shown that this could really be a viable attraction again given our modern technology. Visiting the moon or even Mars may have seemed passé in the 1970s and 1980s, but not so much any more. But I suppose today’s guests are holding out for Tatooine or wherever.
I remember the big rocket had 2 thick fins on the top section. When I first saw the SpaceX rocket I thought the design was an homage to the Disney original. I experienced that original ride in the '60s.
Fantastic depiction of what can happen with space travel. Your video will be a great addition to my Disneyland (circa 1955-1966) layout I created in my home office with a running train and stationary monorail.
This wasn't made from the earliest ride I saw in Disneyland in 1953 or 54. I was 12 years old. I sure would like to see that one again. It showed "mysterious ruins" on the far side of the Moon. I was thrilled. Somebody in the Disney organization finally got a good idea!
RAF incident from WWII England, read about it in Walter Cronkite's autobiography. It was about using high-powered strobes in WWII from aircraft at 5,000 to 20,000 feet to illuminate recon sites at night. During tests over the English countryside, the flashes at 3AM would scare the livestock and the residents. One morning at the base, they were processing prints from the night's run, and saw on one of them a crowd of villagers gathered in a farm field with a HUGE banner readable from 10,000 feet that said, "We're reporting you." I thought this was so funny, I had to put it in this movie after my friend suggested the blast damage that rocket would do to Tomorrowland on liftoff, due to the exhaust blast.

I was three years old in 1958 when before the ride ended, I tugged on mother's arm and asked her: "Mom, can we go back to Disneyland now?"
Class Act video with a lot of good memories!
My inner 6 year old is jumping up and down right now! Right now I'm building the Strombecker/ Glencoe model kit!
I built that model, and put LED's inside the cockpit and engines. The secret is filling and sanding the rocket to a smooth finish.
Great work.
Love how this features the movie score from the movie
" Space Camp "👍🏼

This is actually a mix of Rocket to the Moon and Flight to the Moon, but you did a very detailed job on this.
Very well done. Even better graphics than the actual ride. This brought back wonderful memories.

Congratulations! A beautiful re-imagining. If only full motion simulation had existed in the 50's. And now, the tail-first landing is a reality. :-)

Always glad when a fellow model railroader appreciates my work! Thanks!
Great job Pony!!!
Thanks!
Bravo, thanks!
Awesome work!!
Hello from maxmodels channel . That was very well done .😀
Nice film! Thank you!
Nice job! I immediately thought about this attraction when I saw what Disney was doing with Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy's Edge.
This is very well done.
Thanks!

Yeah, I decided that THAT part was a little too fantasy, so I did not show it. Just craters.
@@PonyHorton AWWwww!

The next time a Falcon-9 lands, we should roll-out that banner that says WE'RE REPORTING YOU!

Nice job! I wonder if those Moonscapes are Chesley Bonestell?
