Totally. I didn't realize the joy and personal mental benefit of working from home until I got to do just that because everyone was forced to do it. Some extrovert colleagues complained, but for me it has been like the best thing ever, not gonna lie. Ofc all the online meetings make me not totally alienated from the rest of the world, but they are more of a "necessary evil that I endure" at this point. The main wager for me with these meetings is how often I can blame not turning on my camera "due to technical difficulties" so I don't have to put on makeup. xD kind of pathetic, but I seriously can't be bothered

• less noise from traffic
• fewer people on the bus
• less air pollution
• less water pollution
• less heating cost
• less energy consumption over all
• less time spent in traffic
• no holiday stress
• less money spent on detergent
• cleaner water, less water pollution
• less spread of diseases
• more time for leisure activities
• fewer expenses
• internet broadband finally taken seriously as a political issue
• the list goes on
We have seen that it takes very little to make life tremendously better for everyone.
Which it is so important that everything goes back to "normal" as quickly as possible. The globe will not warm itself.

Truth! I just did a contact purge the other day and got rid of half a dozen contacts who I haven't heard back from in months.
Omg yess. I dont save my friends numbers. Sometimes my friends use my phone curious why there's no name in my contact (because i dont save it). They thought im rude or something but i just feel uncomfortable. I just save a few numbers

Thea Bruun ah, the amount of times I responded with a genuine “yeah, I know, and what’s wrong with that?” to the extroverts’ complaints in the beginning of lockdown... Your regular quiz nights at the bar are canceled until further notice? Non-issue, they’ll come back eventually. Can’t hang out with Becky? Non-issue, it isn’t urgent anyways. They really be making it sound like the end of the world when in reality you can just use a damn phone to emulate virtually all of their precious activities. Thankfully they seem to have learned new ways over the past months and I’m hearing much less complaining.

What's funny is my job is freelancing... At home. Literally nothing has changed. I get people who ask me how I'm faring with the quarantine and I'm like, "What? (Why?)"

yeah. Mostly because I can sleep till 7:30.
Being an introvert isn't just about being shy. We like social interactions but once we have reached our limits that's it we can't handle any more. Most times just talking to the workers at my local supermarket is enough to satisfy me for a couple of days.

When I was driving a semi over the road, the interactions I would have with dispatchers once a day or every other day were all the interaction I would need. Could drive alone for weeks without interacting with other people, with just my wife, who is also introverted.

@@matthewbrown5228 My husband and I are also both introverts and we loooove to ride the car and enjoy different landscapes, talking about philosophical things, the world, life, everything, listening to favourite music... We also love nature, but driving around aimlessly is the most regenerating thing we could think of.

Being an introvert doesn’t mean you don’t like social interaction, it means that we need to spend time with ourselves after some social interaction because it drains us.
For example, when I hung out with my friends for 2 or 3 hours and I really enjoy it. Then I REALLY need to go home and just disconnect from real life

Yeap, it's like if we're supposed to meet in the evening for 2-3 hours, please just be 2-3 hours. If there's an impromptu event right after for another hour you're really pushing it, if there's anymore my mind just shuts off and I need to recharge in solitude for a week or so
@@juliansenfr Exactly. Please, make the party short. I always dreaded going out with my ex; he always started drinking at, like, 5 pm and stopped at 5 or even 8 am. I had the most boring 12 or more hours out possible, especially because I am unable to drink much. And, it was wasting my sleep. I had to sleep until noon the next day and I hated missing the morning. Yeah. It's complicated 😀😀😀
Plus it's about what interactions. I value social interactions much but don't like fuss and loud stuff.
Hate to break it to you, but that's just... normal people. Everybody needs alone time, this is not an introvert thing.
1) I hate crowded places
2) I love masks. People don't recognize me and I don't have to wear make up
3) I don't wanna come back to the office ever again!! Yaaay
4) I don't have to come up with excuses not to go to places.
5) whenever I need an excuse, I say "sorry, need to work/study"

I was a front end supervisor/cash office clerk at a grocery store. I still had to go into work but walking to and from work was beautiful because I wouldn’t see a single person and hardly any cars!
as someone who stays inside all the time, at the beginning of all this, i was glad to get out and do something because no one else was out there.

Yes, mask & hoodie is my two fav things when going outside..at least it will make people think twice before asking me random question while all i need is silence & enjoy my activity without being interrupted with small talk . 😁

Reminds me of a related subject, I go shopping at oddball times and won't go in the local Wal Mart in my hometown because I don't want to run into people that I know from past jobs or past (local) schools that I used to go to so I relate to your comment.

The privacy of wearing a mask is awesome! I had no idea how much I'd like wearing it, especially in the summer with sunglasses. When this whole COVID thing is over, I've decided that I'm going to keep wearing a mask, especially during "flu" season. Maybe I'll no longer get the common cold. It can't hurt, right?
Seasonal allergy suffer here, and I completely feel that sentiment! Sometimes when the allergens were really heavy I'd suffer the strange looks of wearing a mask, but now that everyone's doing it, I don't feel nearly as conspicuous.

Flu cases have been way down since we donned the masks, and I wear one on windy days during allergy season pre-covid. They do work, at least for some things.

During the pandemic I reached that point as an introvert where you don’t even feel like video chatting with your friends. My friends wanted to play an online game together and I texted back “nah I’ll play next time, I have homework” knowing full well I do have homework but I’ve been reading & watching tiktoks for hours
it's a blessing in disguise for us introverts, nothing new just our everyday life.
I used to be such an extrovert. Being in quarantine literally changed me. I did not even STEP out of my house for 5 months straight. And when I did, it felt nothing like it did before. And now I'm a complete introvert. I don't even want this pandemic to be over lol

This is way too true. I just have one housemate, an older woman, who I barely see because we have our own spaces and different schedules/jobs. It's still not enough alone time. I do, however, use the virus as an excuse not to go in the kitchen when she's in there, and I already don't cook because of that. 😂
OMG, that's so sad!!! I sent my husband to his home country just before lockdown, I've been living alone since march, for the first time in my life. I couldn't be happier.

As a nurse I couldn't stay home during the quarantine. I kept seeing people complain about how hard it was to stay at home. I was seriously jealous, having a reason to stay at home is my dream. The only good thing I got about the quarantine was that there was no traffic. :)

When the first lockdowns started happening, my sister and I (who are both introverts) did a virtual high-five over text and joked "We've been training our entire lives for this."

This is exactly what i remind my aunt when she went to the test.."Don't ever try to make a conversation with anyone in the test line." and she immediately pouted. My aunt is a real real extrovert and loves to shake hands & hug people on top of that..😔 I still remember when she tried to make friends as many as she could by starting a conversation asking people's condition & story last time she was in hospital for check up. I literally had to hold her from approaching other people and giving long nag to stay away from others (specially because she's comorbid). The struggle is real. 😷

I'm a introvert but even I got a bit stir crazy during the lockdown but it wasn't too horrible.
As a mega introvert who has been taking mostly online classes for years, thrives in online courses, and struggles in in-person/traditional courses, quarantine has been almost a dream come true for me. I feel kind of bad looking around at the people struggling while I'm having the time of my life.
The quarantine would have been much better if I didn't have 3 people in my house living with me

The being able to go number 2 whenever you want really hit hard XD. Especially since I get so socially anxious before getting on a Zoom call, having the bathroom close by is a really nice feature.

I remember being in an office meeting one day and one of the women in the meeting went to the bathroom during the meeting. When she came back she smelt like a mix of human feces and perfume. She dowsed herself in perfume but it still wasn't enough.

I’m now very regular, 9:30 a.m. That would be a very bad time if I were at work. Becoming so regular makes me realize the stress of the work routine is very unhealthy for my digestive system. We were not meant for this.

They can still see the expression of your eyes if you smile! That's what I've been doing!😅😂 it's almost as if you don't even have masks if the other person smiles back and you see their eyes crinkle!😂

I love that I now have a good excuse to glare at people who stand too close to me at the store, and to go out of my way to avoid getting within eight feet of anyone while out for a walk. These are things I’ve always done, just now I have an excuse for them 🤷🏻♀️
Lockdown is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I've been practicing all my life for it. I'm sorry for the people suffering, but I love it.
The ONE thing I miss from before the pandemic is going to see movies in actual theaters. As an introvert, I could still usually keep a distance from other people, not have to talk to random people, watch the film in peace in the dark eating delicious popcorn. A great introvert experience disguised as "getting out there and socializing".
I hate when it fogs up the glasses especially when you have to walk fast. 😔

@@xkali8119 if the point of the mask is allegedly to catch large droplets and those come out of our mouth, there is no reason to cover the nose.
Plus masks don't work, people are only contagious for 7 days AFTER symptoms START. This whole thing is ridiculous.
Those glasses might not have actual glass in them. Glare is a thing that often requires camera tricks to fix. The super reflective frames would do a great job of distracting from that though by pretending the glass is there.

I cant even express how much happiness I felt when they said we have to quarantine. I didn’t have to go see human beings and I get to play video games all day! I wanna quarantine for a whole month!!!
When I'm around people, I like to socialize even with strangers. The thing is going out every day to run errands, or go to work, or just get out of my sweats has always felt exhausting to me. I just hate running around. And then this idea that we have to go out and socialize with a group of people every single weekend or something is wrong with us. I'm not married or have kids so people expect you to be available. But once or twice a month is my limit. When I do go out sparingly, I love it and have a great time and most people would probably think I'm an extrovert in that moment. But after that it just feels like an obligation that if I don't do it, I'll get the "your weird" looks. It took me until I turned 40 to fully embrace this so called weirdness. Looking back I wish I had embraced more me time when I was younger. I also ended up drinking more because I was bored out of my mind with small talk. What I really wanted was to be home with a good book or movie. :) Now I have friends who aren't interested in small talk either, so getting together is a much more enjoyable event and there is never any pressure to go out with anyone. They don't take it personally and love their alone time as much as I do.

When we were in lockdown and quarantined in early 2020, it was some of the best times of my life. Home alone and I could just focus on my own things without any guilt. I loved it.
I have always been insecure and sad all the time as an introvert because I cared a lot of what people might think about me. However, after watching your videos I feel so good about myself. I wanna thank you 😁

I love working from home... I was on a zoom call with boss and colleagues the other day and everyone was saying how much they missed working in the office 🙄 so I just put on a fake smile and went with the flow...

I just want to say somthing to all the extroverts out there who don’t understand introverts. You know how uncomfortable and unnatural it feels to be stuck in quarantine? That’s how it feels for us DAILY. Think about that.
Yeah this, for real. Drives my husband crazy. He is an introvert teacher at a school full of extrovert staff members who want to force all kids to socialize and do group work all the time (because they're 'socially stunted') but recently agreed that they couldn't do 30 minutes quiet study with the kids because "... they want to get up and talk...". Maybe the extroverts could learn to shut up for a bit?
I bet all the important discoveries that lead us out of the pandemic are made by people that like sitting in a quiet lab and staring at test results. You're WELCOME, extroverts.

This exactly. Sadly once covid is over, they'll just go back to shaming and pressuring us to abide by their standards. I still know plenty of extroverts who think introversion either doesn't exist or that it's some "disease/mental problem."
They wouldn't know otherwise because they grew up in a world that caters to them, and the moment this was taken away from them, they act like spoiled brats and can barely seem to handle it.
They got a taste of the trash we put up with, but will never know what it's truly like to live in a world that shames you and forces to you to be something you're not for you're entire life.
