  • Incidental teaching, or casual teaching, is an important stage in the therapeutic process because it helps the child develop verbal skills
This type of learning means that the child spontaneously, randomly, has a certain interest in sth, and we use it to develop his verbal skills, e.g. the child wants sth that is in the box and we teach him to say Open, he points his hand towards the object, e.g. Bird, Ball, Water, and we teach him to say it, the child takes our hand and pulls us, we teach him to say Come on
When is a child ready for this stage?
    1. Must have passed the stage of formal learning - at the table that develops concentration, interaction, understanding, imitation, cognition and vocal imitation
    2. Is interested in toys, activities and games, which shows that he has developed play skills
    3. Pays attention to the other and is motivated to interact, which shows that he is developing social and interaction skills
