The Gentleman being a water Genasi just like Jester's father is rather coincidental. I mean really just a coincidence, like every Firbolg knowing Pumat Sol.
hey i need everyone to watch caleb's face when she's talking about how "love is a funny thing" and "you move on" and all that because i can't tell exactly what he's thinking but he's obviously thinking SOMETHING (astrid? perhaps?)
yup, something in the scene really got to Liam and/or Caleb. Everyone is getting very emotive, but it looks like something personal there. it starts with Laura refers to her father being constant...
Welcome to Critical Role, where a bunch of nerdy-ass voiceactors get TPK'd by blood magic from across the continent within the first 5 minutes because they gave a shady criminal a vial of their blood each.
Perhaps, but he is discerning enough to see that they wouldn't be likely to fully use it against them. They may be shady, but overall have a bit more honor than that to someone who has done nothing but employ and help them (and as far as we can see for now, not be a completely evil bastard).
@@Auntiebels Also, if the Gentleman knows that Jester is his daughter, I doubt he would harm her. He seems to have some honour and love in his heart, or he wouldn't have fallen in love with Jester's mother.
Hmm...I wonder if Ophelia Mardoon (the tiefling the Might Nein brought back from their encounter with Lorenzo) reminded The Gentleman of a certain red tiefling...an affection born from lingering regret...? ...a nice sentiment, at least.
Not sure how breeding works with the Gentleman's race. Though so far we know he can have children with tieflings so perhaps Ophelia Mardun had a child with him? Or maybe she just has like a double-digit number of brothers and sisters all across the continent X3
In 2018, in a marketing move one might expect from the brand, Old Spice unveiled its own unofficial class for Dungeons & Dragons 3.5: the Gentleman (or Gentle-lady). For players looking for a way to embody the absurd, comically masculine Old Spice ad campaigns without racking their brains for the right official multiclass, this homebrew may be the best way to do it. Th Genteleman’s mechanical role is one of support, with martial proficiencies sprinkled in. It doesn’t rely on spellcasting to do its job, but its abilities are similar, in some ways, to that of a Bard. A Gentleman debuffs enemies, buffs allies and relies on Charisma. Outside of combat, their skill list is makes them a good "face."
I like to imagine that first long silence was him just doing math. "my name? Marion? How could jester know.... Oh. Oh no."
“But it’s been decades” Laura’s face! ‘NO ONE WORK OUT HOW OLD I AM OH NO’
Travis pointing a finger at her was gold. XD
If not for you I would have missed those reactions and I appreciate not having done so so much.
...is that twenty? OH SHIT-
This entire scene I was screaming at the screen for Fjord to cast Disguise self and just appear as the Gentleman.
Holy shit I didn't think of that. Fjord or Jester could've done it
And now they're potentially banned from the city LOL
FJORD CAN USE IT AS A CANTRIP!!!
@@Chris_Meade I think everyone but Bo can do it?
Good point! Or even minor illusion to create a holographic statue of him
Even taliesin's resting face is in character. lmao

Spencer Carr Well as rare as firbolgs are, Genasi only happen when a human and a genie get together so that’s a pretty slim coinicidence
Yeah, I mean there can't be more than like a dozen water genasi bobbing around in the whole of Exandria. It's like a 1 in 10 chance.
2 years later and the slim changes were in fact very high XD
1:49 when I'm on the phone with a family member and trying to deal with a cat at the same time

(and maybe also his parents, when he sees another loving parent :( )

wait what?
OH FUCK I JUST NOTICED THAT TOO im in pain
Liam is always a deep roleplayer. Probably something to do with his parents...
Nott's (Sam's) face and reaction at 3:30-3:52 further solidifies my inkling that she might be a mother.
Leobornchild8 when asking about Notts age she did mention "I am of childbearing age"
Well she does have caleb :P
Leobornchild8 She is, she has a beautiful son named Caleb 😂😂😂😂
Holy. Shit. Good call
Spoiler!

OMG, fast forward to what was revealed in the current episode.
"but... i-I wanted him to be true to her for ever", my fuckin heart dropped
This is my FAVORITE sending spell that Jester has ever done... 😂😂😂
Jesters father went out to sea and never came back
Fords captain went out to sea and never came back
Coincident
I Dont think so
I was JUST thinking about that, also the orb was right under one of his store houses, COINCIDENCE!?! I THINK NOT!!!
I think Nott hehe
Gasp it was him the entire time
both still alive we know now.
It was
I love this so much. The gentleman is absolutely going to try to kill them all now. Especially if they know his real name

And if he wanted/could to kill them with blood magic he'd have done it already.

The next time they meet it's going to be very awkward

Jester: I'm gonna send him a message to see if it's him
Fjord: Jester no
Beau: Jester.. yes do it. CHAOS. I LOVE IT.
so much child support check.....
Jesters dad went to sea. The Gentleman is A WATER GENASI. GUYS THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO ZEDASH
They were in zedash but they took a little horse ride instead...
Same
I knew he is a professional voice actor... but damn I got the feels because of that acting
Ok but what are the chances of Jester having a half sibling.....

I’m assuming very, VERY likely... should make for an interesting story element
@@SharkyShocker I think tieflings and genasi are both able to have children with almost every humanoid race.
In the most recent episode?...pretty likely
The gentlemen sank ford’s ship at SEA
Oh gosh I hope this scene gets animated. XD
Jester is too perfect.
Has anyone thought that fjords dead captain might be jesters father
Matt said he had to do something on the sea and he never returned because of what happened with fjord
When one man says to another man, “Just like a Man!”... Beautiful!!
Giant character altering news about Jester......
Beau : But does he use words???
So The Gentleman is totally fucking lying right? RIGHT?!?
And now nearly 100 episodes later...
And yet here we are
"Just like a man" said the woman played by a man to another woman played by another man
