Thanks I’m working on the bitwig controller script for essential so this helps working out what functions I want. Interesting that pads can mean all 8 clips in a single track and also mean different tracks for recording. Unless I misunderstood
Yes, but imo the script was not so easy to use anyway. There new model minilab mk3 and essential mk3 is much better. Maybe you can take a look at that as well.
Do you know why the midi map would stop working? For some reason it forgets what I mapped it to. I thought maybe the order I was turning the device on in accordance with the ableton scene but it still stopped. I had to restart the laptop to make it work. It happens every time. I save the mapping in User 1, so it’s all custom.
Track Selection arms the track when Not Recording, But when you are Looping (in your previous video)it looks like you're still pressing the Record button to Arm the track, is that correct? UPDATE: I think you're stopping recording, then just picking a different track (and it auto-arms). I'm on the MKII so my buttons are a bit different. Here's another video of someone doing the same, I thinkruclips.net/video/t9haqfZhxzM/видео.html Ok I did some playing around, I found use in stopping my recording after so many bars/measures, so that Ableton will repeat it. Then since I'm no longer recording, I can select a different track and it arms. Then, all I have to do is press Record hard button. This lets me experiment or solo in between each recording, Bad Habits - Live looping with Arturia Keylab Essential in Ableton ruclips.net/video/pxxuXTaIOG8/видео.html

there's a solution on Ableton's website that you might want to check out.
@@JJJB do you have a link?
Hi, did you manage to solve the problem? if so, tell me how
@@dmitrypikulin there's a line of code on ableton's website. So that everytime you select a track using your knob it will automatically arm it.
I tried everthing u said and still no sound coming from the Key board
Sorry to hear that. You might want to open a ticket on Arturia's website.
@@JJJB i finally got it to work took me about 3 hrs to figure it out but my next big ? Is can it work without being hook up to a computer
@@levialston9046 It can be hooked up to devices that work as "host". eg, hardware synth, standalone groove box, etc.
@@levialston9046 howd you manage to get sound?
