Im struggling to make my keylab mk3 61 works properly in ableton, all controls are working normally, but the contextual buttons are not working in the DAW... i use the suite version of ableton 11...
I got my MK3 today but the script isn't working in Live 11.3.2. Transport buttons don't do anything, encoder doesn't change or launch scenes. Also some of the keys were not working in Live.
Same here. This is after I had to get a replacement keyboard from Sweetwater because the screen on the first one I got went white where I couldn't see anything. None of the knobs, faders, controls period are recognized by Ableton Live
Got one few days ago (the 61 version). I don't know how to play it. I should say, I know how to play my first notes thanks to the free music lessons. Said this, even without aftertouch (but the pads have it) it's a great fun to learn how to play my keyboard. The 88 has aftertouch but it has another price tag too...
To all those who have problems with the DAW mode in Ableton. It does not work with Live 10 and only partially with Live 11 (depends on the version). You have to upgrade Ableton, then everything will work. I upgraded from Live 10 to 12 and everything works fine (after the correct settings in the Midi Control Centre and Live Midi settings) (Mac User).
I am happy to say that the problem I had with my kl49 was solved by updating the firmware of the controller. Get Midi Control Center from Arturia, open the application and the update was "offered" immediately. After upgrading I tried again and it works as shown in the video 🎉
I can only repeat what you said. Before I download midi control center, the keyboard was acting very strangely. Whenever I touched any knob, slider or button (eg: octave up / down) there would be a horrible volume/velocity spike if you were playing a note on the keyboard after moving aforementioned knob, slider or button. Made the keyboard unplayable. Asked Arturia for help, still no answer. By accident I downloaded MCC, there was a firmware update available, I download it - and all is now perfect. Hope this helps anyone experiencing similar problems…
I have found one partial solution is if I make a Playlist in Analog Lab Pro that I am able to change tracks in DAW mode and then use the faders and nobs in Arturia mode with preset and device descriptions showing on the keyboard screen. This works once I try to use the faders or knobs after a short delay of a few seconds. This only works for items in the playlist and any other tracks created with items outside that play list do not work.
Would be possible to have an update on the minilab 3 to be able to control directly devices of ableton and not just macros? Hope will come soon pleaaase !!!
In device mode can you control parameters of a third party vst e.g. serum, if you have configured that vst and have mapped it within ableton via the configure button?
Does the record transport button trigger recording into the clip view or into the arrange page? Or does it do both (shift click rec etc. like in some other controllers)
In mixer mode, I want to control the Sends instead of Pans. Is this possible?? Pan with a knob is not important. Sends are crucial for me for producing Dub.
I can't use KL 49 K3 with Ableton, knobs and faders don't work and Arp in sync mode don't detect any clock signal from DAW My version of Live is last available
do we have a on/off function on this ? i hate it that my midik i use now remains on even if i turn off the pc and i am tierd of allways removing the usb cable which is even behind and having that on my desk is a Pain in the butt ! i dont understand why they do not build a on off switsh on the top of these things but allways on the back
will the encoders pick up the current knob position in ableton device control mode or is it like an absolute position and you have to catch the position? can't find the answer anywhere
Knowing the answer to this is very important to me too. If the knobs respond by updating the context parameters without jumping (and without having to do pickup), I would buy it. But at minute 1:58 it is clearly seen that IT IS NOT SO.
@@byniasofficial2567 That is not the best option since you have to rotate the knob until you reach the current value of the parameter. What I mean is to move the knob always from the position where the parameter is, even if you change the context. This can only be achieved if the controller works with a script that synchronizes software parameters with the knobs (infinite rotation) when changing context. To understand how this works, check the Akai APC40 MK2, whose knobs have a ring of leds around them that always indicate the position they start from in the software.

Just as a heads up as of this comment when you play any arturia instrument that is not Analog Lab the screen does not show the name of the control.
