Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Видеоклипы

Still rocking out to this 40+ years later. Passed the love of Led Zep to my son❤
These 4 normal human beings with real musical instruments sounds like a full fledged orchestra. There is something supernatural about this.
JPJ is just like one man orchestra
It’s mainly the keyboard that’s on the setting of a full fledged orchestra but yes they all come together to make it fabulous
I couldn't agree more
They might not be human? 🤔

Legendary, I still remember the day I decided to play the drums. My Dad was driving me to school and put Zep on, he said "you have to pick an instrument for band class, it's mandatory with the school" So I said " Can I play the drums?" and he said "So you want to rock like Bonham..alright" 2 weeks later I woke up on my birthday, my Mom took me out to get birthday groceries for the party, when I came home my Dad said "go make sure your room is clean first"..I open the door to an all black Tama Rockstar kit with Zildjian cymbals and a set of sticks, almost passed out, and the rest is history. I've been playing for 27 years, and now my three year old son is climbing on the set and hitting the drums...guess it's my turn to be the awesome Dad. Thanks Dad for showing me how it's done, you were always the best a son could ask for!
If that’s true then i salute each & every one involved Sirs ✌🏻

Robert Plant said that Kashmir was his favourite musical accomplishment and I agree
I agree with that statement. Those who ask, does anyone really still listen to this music, I say to them. Oh Hell Yeah !! I'm 65 yrs old. I listen to Zep every day. I sit and think, and realize just how lucky I was to have been growing up during the time of Led Zeppelin, and The who, and all those that came with them, just before, and some just after. Clapton, Hendrix, J. Page (for me HE started it all) and so many more. The period of the 60's & 70's were the greatest period of Rock & Roll music In the history of the world. No one has even come close to challenging the music of this time period, and never will. AS for GVF, and their music, which I love by the way, leave these kids alone. They are making great music. and i'm sick of hearing about them being Zeppelin copy cats. Which is stupid. But even if it were true. Zeppelin did the same thing in their day. Listen to your history. Zeppelin was copying music of the early 60's, and giving it a blues tone and making a fortune from it. But they were COPYING black blue's music they grew up listening to and changed it a little and the rest is history. So, leave GVF alone and let them make music, and we will listen, because it is GOOD music, and its bluesy R&R Music. Love em
I believe I heard an interview of Page saying he feels pretty close to the same.

I was there on August 11th 1979 . Jimmy Page spent the whole evening Dazed and Confused, Bonzo was Majestic and Robert Plant tried very, very hard to make it work. But oh, 45 years on when I play Kashmir and Trampled Under Foot, I'm back at that scabby and sodden excuse for a festival. I was 19 and I'd finally seen Led Zeppelin. Priceless memory.
If you don't believe this is one of the best songs by one of the best bands in the world there is something seriously wrong with you.
Shannon Ireland It's a cool riff it's so repetitive like some kind of aural Xerox machine it gets boring after awhile. "Duh-duh-duh, duh, duh duh, duh-duh duh..."
***** mystic mumbo-jumbo, sung above a plodding, brain-dead riff...
+steve conn Haha. I'm a 50 year old guy who used to play this stuff in bar bands. And while I get nostalgic for it sometimes I have to admit that most classic rock is total crap...it was awful then and it's even worse today. It's a complete myth that music used to be better. It was overindulgent, overproduced, guitar heavy, and formulaic with ostentatious fantasy lyrics...everything was an over-the-top rock opera. I'm glad it's all over.
+Christopher White Wow...a lost rocker... just sounds to me like you who rocked.... just never really got it. are you saying you don't like Led Zeppelin?
+Robert Worth Hmm. As a bassist I eventually discovered jazz bass and then I suppose I became a lost rocker to a degree (even spent a decade with Mozart and Beethoven). I'm still a John Paul Jones fan and even like Plant. Page I can do without...the whole guitar dominance thing of the 70s with its 3-guitar bands was just too much. I much prefer the stripped down to the roots indie stuff today: Ray Lamontagne, Amos Lee, etc. That said, I still love the Doors, Van Morrison, Richard Thompson and Tom Waits. Guilty pleasures are Pink Floyd, Tull, Yes, Rush, Skynyrd, The Police (and Aussie punkers Midnight Oil). But I think a lot of great music is being created today. Don't you ever get tired of classic rock and want something fresh? Seriously, there's some great stuff being done. you just have to search for it.
Bonham really was amazing, wasn't he. Such a powerhouse.
The greatest rock drummer, ever. Period.

"Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin is a musical journey that never fails to ignite my imagination. Every time I hear those unmistakable opening notes, I'm transported to a realm where time and space seem to bend. John Bonham's commanding drum pattern sets the stage, creating a hypnotic rhythm that I can't help but get lost in.
As Jimmy Page's iconic riff kicks in, I'm immediately hooked. The fusion of rock and exotic, Middle Eastern-inspired scales creates a sound that's both familiar and otherworldly. It's a riff that feels like it's been etched into my musical DNA, and it's the backbone of what makes "Kashmir" so unforgettable.
The addition of orchestral elements, particularly John Paul Jones' mellotron and the sweeping strings, elevates the song to epic heights. Those layers of sound add a cinematic quality that's unlike anything I've heard in rock music before. They immerse me in a sonic landscape that's as vast and awe-inspiring as the themes the song explores.
Robert Plant's vocals are a force to be reckoned with. His passionate delivery infuses the lyrics with a sense of yearning and exploration. When he sings, I feel like I'm embarking on a journey to distant lands, chasing after something profound and elusive.
The song's dynamic shifts and instrumental breaks are pure magic. They showcase each band member's incredible skill and chemistry, and I can practically feel the energy and creativity radiating from their performances. And then, of course, there's Jimmy Page's electrifying guitar solo-the climax that leaves me breathless every time I hear it.
"Kashmir" isn't just a song; it's a sonic adventure that defies categorization. Led Zeppelin's ability to blend different musical elements while maintaining a cohesive sound is a testament to their brilliance. It's a timeless masterpiece that continues to captivate and inspire me, reminding me why Led Zeppelin remains one of the greatest rock bands in history.

@@BostonBeerSnob They are obviously "trying to put on a show," since they have coordinated dance moves (see Achilles Last Stand), smoke effects, and light effects. That doesn't meant hey aren't also into the music.
@@heraclitusblacking1293 they were high as shit and jamming to their music isn't anything like what they do today. Oh they had lights too, just like a Katie Perry show! lol please
@@BostonBeerSnob They are dancing around on stage, just like modern musicians. They have coordinated dance moves (see Achilles Last Stand), which are obviously pre planned. They have light shows, and laser shows, which are not spontaneous. THat's all I'm saying.
The band is fantastic, but Plant's stage presence is divine!!
His everything is divine! 😋 Still!
Non sono tanto d'accordo per Plant. Jimmy è tutta un'altra cosa, apparte la bellezza è proprio l'anima degli Zeppelin, chitarrista che non ha eguali e carismatico al massimo.
Agreed. The closeup shots of Plant onstage show how much energy and effort he puts into his singing.
Absolutely, i see a perfect beautiful MAN no tatoos no extravagant "costumes" i'm in LOVEEE, xD them four are fabulous!!
He is gorgeous!
NEVER will ANYTHING come close to this masterpiece ! Never will there be another Zeppelin PERIOD! So many of my teen year memories are filled with this very jam along with Floyd theres simply not been anything comes close to the feeling of listening to REAL music it's simply not out there anymore theres just not been actual music made since these days !!
I was at the August 4th show, the tickets sold out so fast for the August 4th concert they did another one on August 11th. For the August 4th concert the fence was forced down and people poured in through the gap. There is no official attendance figure for the August 4th show but most estimates are at around 350,000 people. I was in my late teens at the time, still one of the highlights of my life.
In the 70's, everyone was blending musics, ideas, religions, ideals.... it's not the packaging, it's the soul of it all.
Pharoahsim so true! Today is all about day to day emotions...sad :(
John Paul Jones was the secret weapon of Zep, he is the soul of this song
Absolutely! JPJ was my favorite, a multi-talented individual!
Hey Jose, I get your comment, it's a bad misconception that Jonesy doesn't get his due credit. Even though back in the day , him and JHB , Mat not have always been in the spotlight by the si called press, when it came down to awards n such...they both almost always won best bassist and best drummer....The secret to this song is in fact the the entire band, without each member contributing their own piece...it doesn't become Kashmir...and they knew it. Its one of the many reasons they are known worldwide as The Mighty Led Zeppelin!
Johns drumming was an event onto themselves.simply superb.qnd he looked sober happy and laser focused.we miss you John there will never be another that can make a set of drums sound like you did
We will probably never see Rockstars like these again. They are on another level. You just cant be this good.
We will NEVER hear or see bands like this again!! I'm so glad I grew up then!! I still listen at top volume and love it.
Greta Van Fleet

@@chadharmon7563 They don't have their own sound. As far as Im concerned they are a Led Zeppelin rip-off.
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page agree: Kashmir is THE definitive Led Zeppelin song.
This version is REAL. Jon Bonham!
Is that true? Interesting. I have always thought it was their most epic. It's my personal favourite in the catalogue.
I thought Pages favorite is Achilles last stand?
Fool in the Rain all day
This is my second favorite Zep song. For me, nothing beats Achilles Last Stand
I just love it when they come busting out on that stage! Jimmy, that smile is fantastic, you’re adorable.
Zeppelin lovers, I’m coming to the end of my life, and realizing how lucky I am to have lived through the best music ever. I’m grateful to you Robert, Jimmy, John (see you soon), and John Paul - you absolute legends. ❤
❤Please tell John Bonham that Mike Bowman said a warm hello. And If I get there before you, I'll do the same for you, Lyn Foster.
❤😢❤
🌼🌼🌼🦋
@@mikebowman9844 I will! I’ve loved my life, and I’m at peace. Just looking forward to rocking through eternity with some of my favorite musicians, and, of course my family members who have gone before me. ☺️

Jimmy Pages body motions are so eerie here. Gives off the perfect vibe
Ozzy Detxemendy eerie? No. Sexy AF.
1:09 - 1:13
2:54 - 2:56
The frame rate is slightly sketchy in parts. That might add to the "eerie" feel.
Salut......magies noires
I was there. 20 years of age. Drank a lot of beer that night !
You are lucky mn💎
That's like too cool
Ray Jones - I was 23, just joined the fire service! Wish I had been there. You lucky lad. Now happily retired, and still listening to Zep
I’m jealous
I was there too! Happy days
The greatest rock and roll song ever written, produced and recorded!!
Super und unnachahmbar, ich bin 76 und habe diese Zeit mit erlebt.
Led Zeppelin never gets old ! I am 56 and have been listening all my life.
Same here
I’m 67 and still listening
@@andreatutrani well done
Same, 59!
Agreed 51 here and I know every zeppelin song & word.. . Couldn’t tell you one singer on todays charts.
OMG this is fucking awesome I love Led Zeppelin
I'm 26 but I belong in the 70's
Me too! I wish I was born in the 60s that way I would've been in my teens in the 70s
I was born in 1960. The sixties, seventies and eighties were all amazing for different reasons! And now, at 58, I love that I can listen to and love the same music as you!
@@rhondamoore9842 Try Greta Van Fleet.
Amanda Spies Furtado My first music was Partridge Family TV Show. There are some 70s bands still playing ZZ Top, Bob Seger The Who just played in Buffalo, NY. I got to see Lynyrd Skynyrd before plane crash. In High School a Teacher got Allman Brothers to play for us. Funny it was a Catholic School. Rolling Stones played Buffalo 6 times. I nicknamed Mick Jagger ( A ROOSTER ON ACID ) cause his energy on stage. Buffalo has the GOO GOO DOOLS. I thought it funny almost every band that played here opened saying HELLO BUFFALO. 1 thing about Buffalo we are ranked # 1 City for most snow. True we get 10 feet every winter from Lake Erie. The Lake effect from Lake Erie is crazy 2 years ago 8 feet feel in 12 hours. The worst was 1977 Blizzard it snowed every day in January. Winds were 80MPH 19 feet of snow, we still had snow on ground in June. Even worse we have to wait till July to go swimming because the Lake frezzes over every year. Always WHITE XMAS IN BUFFALO.
catfish wb pa. gonzo the greatest
Yall might think im nuts, But they sound better live, then on the albums..never heard a band like them! guess we never will!! just a musical phenomenon
Getting goosebumps throughout - saw this live in Vancouver in 1975 which was without a doubt the most exciting live performance in my life. It never gets old.
Ladies & Gentlemen. Welcome to the four greatest musicians that ever graced our humble being.
Amen
Lol really 😂😂
I didn’t know their names were Freddy Mercury Brian May roger Taylor and John deacon
Nerd Mask Love Queen but Zeppelin’s music is just untouchable
The doors and rush were pretty great
