I have a Archer C5400 router, and bought this C80 3 months back. (Needed another router for another house) House layout: 2-storey 2,000 sqft Number of connected devices: 15 - 20 This C80 is truly eye-opener. There is no significant difference to C5400 in speed, Wi-Fi coverage and stability.
I got 4 of those, yes i know that its expensive but i wanted to create a wifi mesh finally since the amount of 5ghz devices has raised in my house, i done a lot of research and for the price what i get is insane. I have reinforced concreet walls in my house and its arround 80 m^2 per floor (i have the ground and 1st floor) I ripped off all of the wires going everywhere arround the house, it became a nightmare. I also repainted the walls so they had to go out anyway, Then i disabled the wifi radio on the main ISP router and plugged one of these bois in to it directly and then everyting into it that needs a wire in the living room (iptv, smart tv), i applied all the netowork rules to it since it will be a main router. Then i put 2 arround the house where i was getting 4 lines of range, this made it so the whole house and the garden outside is 5 lines, and that is really good. The 4th one i gave to my neighbour, he lives in a house really close and i had the range extending setup before at his place but i taught i should upgrade him as well just so i rule out any incompatibilites (he lives with this wife and they are nearly poor, since i have 100/10 internet that is idle 99% of time i gave him my link), i also gave him my old computers (2x i3 6100s with an ssd and 8gb of ram) Using this config for the past 4 months, its much much better to have a proper mesh then having lots of diffrent SSIDs arround the house

C80 has higher range and speed. Better speed at longer range too. 5ghz- 1201mbps(AX10) , 1300mbps(c80) 2.4ghz - 300mbps(AX10), 600mbps(c80) AX10 has wifi 6 (on paper wifi 6 technology allows 9gbps transfer rate). But the router only offers speed as mentioned above. In my opinion, if u are buying AX router, better get something that can utilise atleast half of the wifi 6 speed.
