My Amazon Firestick is plugged into our TV downstairs and it frequently has problems loading. We get a error message stating our Internet connection is too slow. We are using Spectrum out of San Antonio and we are using their modem with its internal router. We are using the 2.4 wireless connection with the modem upstairs and the TV downstairs. If we purchase a router and hook up like you did, would that help us and should we connect through the 2.4G or the 5G?

Yes, it is capped at 150mpbs. He showed a direct modem to laptop connection at 1:59.

It's megaBITS per second, not megaBYTES.... HUGE difference
It even says "Mbs" which is megabits, whereas "MBs" would mean megabytes
