  • TEAM JO-JO:
I had no intention or desire to make a trip today due to high water, dirty water, the Red Fish Rodeo, and some doubts about my boat battery. I just wasn't feeling the vibes for a trip. I didn't search out any first mates, nor did I watch any fishing videos.
But when Big Pablo called and asked if I was going out, mentioning that all his mates couldn't make it and knowing his boat was in the shop for repairs, the only thing I could say was, "Let's go."
Despite the initial hesitation, I couldn't resist the call of the water, especially with Big Pablo eager to head out.
We quickly gathered our gear and planned for an impromptu trip. With our usual fishing spots in mind and the excitement of the unknown ahead, we set our sights on making the most of the day.
Whether we encounter Silverwonders or Redwarriors, the thrill of the catch and the joy of being on the water with a good friend made it impossible to say no. Here's to another unexpected adventure and the memories that come with it!
    OUR REWARDS:
    • Lived to fish another day
    • (55) Silverwonders, 51 Miniwonders
    • (16) Redwarriors
    • (2) Puppy Drum
    • (2) popped lines, both Big Pablo & Oneofthepack knots came lose reeling fish in?????
    • (1) Oyster
    • (2) Extra poles, Big Pablo and Oneofthepack took turns with this
    • (1) Anchor, me caught that
    • Early quick trip, beat the heat stopped fishing at 10:30
    • Being on the water with one of the best fisherpersons me know, that be Big Pablo
    • Lessons learned:
 Silverwonders still stacked up, (Team J-Jo spot # 57 on map) in Four Horse & Twin Pipeline
 Redwarriors stacked up at Team Jo-Jo spot # 14 on map
 Live shrimp makes difference with Redwarriors
 Team Jo-Jo Spot # 51N produced both Silverwonders & Redwarriors, this be a good sign
 Water dirty a 2 plus at best all over:
    • Four Horse
    • Bay Shallow
    • Lake John
    • Twin Pipeline
    • Lake Batola
    • Lake Fusan
 Don’t need diving birds at Team Jo-Jo spot # 57 to catch, Silverwonders were eating great, had some shrimp on top of water too.
 Need to leave house ½ hour earlier, 4 AM instead of 4:30 AM, missed a lot of good fishing / catching time by not doing so.
    • Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
    Good Fishing

We try to fish / catch early come in and beat the heat. We also have a Bimin top that we use to keep the direct sun off us. I am plumber worked in all kinds of weather for 53 plus years, retired now, June, July & August was always our worst months for heat and being out in it. But had to make a living, have the same attuited / philosophy when it comes to fishing, have to catch to eat.

@@stanleyfink2934 u guys or the winners believe me us to go but now 85 just can’t. I had the answer before last storm a few miles from camp all the bass we wanted and back before 9. No more bass when salt water killed grass the bass left. Now wife’s cancer treatments keep me off water. But getting back into that hot truck after fishing may be my last. Having the camp with only a button has given me more years don’t think I could trailer a boat anymore. Keep the great videos coming they the best like being on the trip good luck.

The area is full of reds. Pablo better get a stiffer rod so he can land those big ones. You’ll tore them up again; great day. 👍

Big Pablo was on, on, on with his live shrimp, he loves that pole he as, but if he keeps trying to whip the big ones in it will be a foot shorter soon!
