  • In 2022, Eddie Murphy received a lifetime achievement award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. At 63, the actor, who identifies more as a "supersensitive artist," still aims to achieve more in his career. He revealed in a recent interview his desire to create a specific "fake documentary," even crafting a trailer for this yet-to-be-produced project. The discussion was part of the promotion for his new Netflix movie, "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F," which marks the continuation of the Beverly Hills Cop series after nearly four decades. Murphy expressed dissatisfaction with the third installment, directed by John Landis, citing a lack of emotional depth compared to its predecessors. He mentioned that numerous scripts and producers tried to revive the franchise, but success only came when Jerry Bruckheimer, the original producer, rejoined the project.
