You literally GOT WHAT YOU PURCHASED and want to leave bad feedback. You bought the lot based on the cards you saw, and he did not lie about the quantity. Just because you got what you bought, and are not happy with it is no reason for you to leave bad feedback. Shame on you for even suggesting that.
I wanted to leave bad feedback because I felt the seller was being dishonest. If you say a lot is 1200+ cards and show the good ones, it is implied the rest of the lot will be similar. They did not show a picture of the junk, which was majority of the lot, because they knew no one would bid on it. I understand where you are coming from, but my point is seller's need to be 100% honest and show everything that the buyer will receive.
@@coltonscardboard It is NOT implied the rest are similar, nearly every single reseller you will find does this. Million dollar bulk resellers, and little guys copying them. You have obviously never bought in bulk before.
I sell singles much like you were trying to, but learned long ago not to buy a lot unless every card is shown. If they show only a few, those are called "loss leaders" and serve the purpose of enticing you in on the buy.
The way you make money (if you can) on buys like this, is to repackage the bulk yourself and sell it off in even smaller lots. Takes more time and effort, but it is possible. I sell 1000 count boxes of bulk for $30-$40 pretty regularly and include easily $50-$60 of $3-$5 singles in them that it's just not worth my time to sell. I sell them through swapmeets and in-person buys though so I can avoid the seller fees. This allows me to buy lots like you did and still make money.
The other thing to do is buy collections. It takes a lot more money to get started on this, but the quality of cards is generally a lot higher. Just make sure they have not been heavily picked first or you will find yourself right back where you started... seeing a few good cards and buying a bunch of bulk.
eBay sellers aren’t listing cards to make YOU $$
This is the lesson you should learn
I would agree. Sometimes though I think you can find a steal
@@coltonscardboard Yes, you can. But don't get peeved when you don't do your own due-diligence and the deal is not as good as you hoped.
If you had asked him if the cards were all like that and he said "yes", THEN they turned out to be a bunch of bulk, you would have a good argument that you had indeed been ripped off. But you seem to think the box you spent a few dollars on should have had $2000 worth of cards in it. That's not at all how it works.
@@StealthySandwich I get what you're saying. I wasn't going in expecting to 10x my money or anything. I'll learn from this for future lot purchases!
Short term yes, but if you play it right and a player does well value can skyrocket in just a few years.
@@DAnoChannel That's the goal! I do have some cards set aside that I am holding for a few years
Just subscribed, I do a vintage channel, but I sell a lot of cards on eBay. I have success buying collections and buying at card shows, then reselling on eBay. I keep the stuff I collect and sell the rest.
Nice! Do you sell individual cards, lots, or a mix of both?
Good luck on the sales. I will be following along
I appreciate it!
Selling low priced is ok if you have the time. You will need to save up to be able to buy lots in the $100-500 range. This will lower your cost per card and you may find some higher value cards to sell.
That's the goal! Slowly working my way up to that.
A lot of nice cards. Sucks that they aren’t in good condition. Were they thrown into the box like that?
Actually I stacked them up a lot better! All the cards in top loaders were at the bottom, and the rest was literally thrown on top!
Gotta read the descriptions. Everyone uses the same method on lot sales. Usually what’s in the picture is never what you actually get.
Yeah if I remember correctly the description was very vague
Man you gonna spend that kind of money on baseball cards. Then I got some really good ones to sell you. Thanks for the fun 😀!
Hey sometimes its worth the risk!
@@coltonscardboard My bad, I've been collecting for so long I forgot about that aspect! Just a collector, not a reseller.
@@williamparsons6073 All good! I think of myself as a hybrid. Yes I do resell, but if I come across a special card, I will add it to my PC (Mostly Detroit players)
@@coltonscardboard Not a bad choice, collect the 1968 team set one of my personal favorites. Not only did I grow up there, but the first wax packs I bought as a kid were from 1968.
If you dont know sammy sosa without a double check of the info your in the wrong business
Good luck making a profit on those. 😅
He sold you his Fairfield box junk mixed with some of his riped cards and some graded to entice you to bid/buy just my opinion and experience good luck
Yeah I think you are right. Hopefully I can make my money back at least!
Did you ever see a picture of the cards tossed in the box? I don't think I'd buy something if I can't at least see the cards properly stored in a box and some corners just to get an idea.
Can you share the name of the seller so we can stay away from them - its better than Neg feedback
What is your ebay store name?
Got 1500 cards for $20 and wanted to leave a bad review because some were bad. Like WTF did you think he’s donating a goldmine to you?
Looks ok to me. Herby, Fields and Hurts rooks in there.
Yep! Sold those already. I will do an update video once I get some more sales on this lot!
Don’t buy blind lesson of the day
Very true. The seller only showed the decent cards in the photos. Hid the fact that they would tack on literal junk lol. So my fault ultimately, but I knew I was going to take a risk
Literally happened to me today 100+ card lot, showed about 20 goods ones, and when I opened the box the only reasonable cards were the 20 cards that were shown the rest were like actual garbage
That's terrible! A lot of scum bags out there!
@@coltonscardboard yeah it was like old players’ base cards that were in awful condition about the same as you
@@Telescope83726 hmm it could've been the same seller!
Paid the stupid tax in full.
Anything junk wax era doesn't hold any value sadly
I know, you almost have to pay people to take them
Sorry that sucks. Happened to me.

I’m pretty sure you are one of those buyers who buys lots for cheap and expect all cards to be mint. You will never get your money back thats the hard truth about the hobby. It’s all just for fun! Do you buy a blaster box and most are base and a few rookies do you complain to Topps???
that is a pretty sorry lot of 80's Junk.
200 cards at $1.60 free shipping, should break you even when you include shipping material to your costs.
Thanks for the tip!
im doing a shot every time this dummy says "you have to be transparent on condition on ebay". im currently in a blackout
Congrats
Rough lot.
Is this a hobby for you? Or are you trynna make a buck?
Both! Some stuff I add to my PC and then other stuff I do sell. I mostly collect current and former Detroit Athletes. If I do not feel any attachment to a card, I will sell it.
100% on the buyer… The fact that he knows literally nothing is funny to me
You bought garbage and want to resell the garbage,
L
