Palworld has also added NFT's now.. so there's an updated controversy
No, they didn't. That's a scam account. Go look again.
A youtuber with 300k subs and can't get his information right. Nice.
@@MikaleMahoe I don't blame evan for this one lol
A scam account paying 10k for super verification was NOT in my playbook.
please delete or edit this it's false info
The guy who did the whole "breakdown" regarding asset theft has since said they lied and altered models to fit his narrative. There is zero evidence of asset theft.
I ask myself what people does actually have time to advocate for Pokémon in this scale. I mean these 3D models are downloadable but man, it still takes hours upon hours. That’s stuff for a legal team and he literally worked for free for them. What an idiot.
@@stullex_ What's impressive is that the majority of the art was done by one person who never graduated high school and was working at a convenience store, teaching himself graphic design on the side. There was no AI or direct copying used. If The Pokemon Company tries suing Palworld for "copying their designs", then Square Enix should sue the Pokemon Company for copying Dragon Quest monsters.
They can copy dragon quest, but palworld can't copy Pokémon...
I love Nintendo shills, they're such special specimens.
One reason that I hear from people why Palworld has become so popular is that it takes the Pokemon formula that has become rather stale to many and gives it a new spin.
It’s what people wanted from the publisher for the past 10 years
Eikthyrdeer only looks like xerneas cause its a deer with antlers you can only be so unique with animal designs just like shaymin is a hedgehog
Nintendo don’t own hedgehogs, nor the concept for them
@@kanewilson8624 and?...
@@DavidUtau there’s nothing else to say. Nintendo doesn’t have a Leg to stand on
It’s only controversial because some pokemon fans are salty the pokemon company ruins the franchise since sword and shield and don’t want to acknowledge their customers are grown up. There is no room for legal action… the sprites are vastly different and the game was publicly developed for the past 6 years located in japan where there are a lot rights when it comes to stuff like that. If there would be room for legal action, the pokemon company would have already done that
since x/y*
@@DavidUtausuper hot take x/y were bangers
@@achryllic2607 i think so too honestly pvp was the best at that time. Ultra sun and moon added great mons and the idea of region specific mons which i liked back then
Yeah. They're salty that this game is the epitome of the pokemon fantasy but it's not a pokemon game.
Everyone who has ever played or wanted to play a pokemon game has desired to ride their flying pokemon, ride them through water; use their abilities how they'd be used in the real world.
Only this game does it. It's that simple. Only palworld has the real pokemon fantasy
At the end of the day people need to understand that whether they like it or not, this is a GOOD GAME that simply takes old concepts and does them RIGHT. Plain and simple
😮Why should I care as a player. I like PalWorld. Simple.

im just happy somone finally made a creature collection game thats given me the same feels as brick bronze before that was taken down
Agreed even though brick bronze was ACTUALLY infringing on Pokémon as they were using the offical sprites

I think people fail to realize that Palworld is made by a Japanese dev. Of course there is going to be a lot of things VASTLY similar to Pokemon, think about how big of a craze it is in Japan, most people there probably can recount half the things off the top of their head and imagine something similar that doesn't make it plagarism
1:50 Song name?
Ah nvm. Found it. Thx!
Bro come on now there’s only so many ways to make an animal
Like a wolf a fox and especially a porcupine
Like are you serious the pal world version actually has spikes
Also how tf can you use ai AND steal a design
How can you steal a design when the design steals of irl animals
How can they steal off Pokémon if Pokemon stole off dragon quest
I swear people just love to hate and make no sense
Chronically on twitter and I bet everyone who’s complaining hasn’t even played the game
With you 100%, to your using AI and stealing point tho it could be done. Classic example is generating art using a dataset of other's IP, or by using an AI as a "transformative process" to scrub copyright from a recognizable ip. I suspect both those things will be illegal soon, at least in the US. There's no reason or evidence palworld did either of those things, it's just a great game imo
@@BrunisPistol I totally get that since ai bases whatever it makes on preexisting concepts
Like for art you can type in the artist name and it would kinda look like something that artist would of made
Im not smart enough to know this but I think even if you did use ai for designs I don’t think ai makes 3d mesh and models
I don’t think ai is even developed enough to do that as far as I’m aware ai can only generate images and ideas so if you need people to make 3d models then even if ai is used you still can’t say it’s made by ai
You can say its designed by ai but not made and if you ask me there’s a big difference between those two
If this game wasn't a parody of Pokemon, it would've been another forgotten early access indie survival. Good for the game, I guess.
this is literally by definition not parody
No, it just takes all the good things people love into one own unique concept. Get over it
@@stullex_why so mad?
You can't copyright a whole genre, that simple. Even if Palworld at its base is just a bad knock-off game or characters, copyright infringement won't extend that far. Further, at least in the U.S., for a work to be copyrighted it must have a human author. Therefore, AI creations can never be copyrighted.
From an infringement perspective, Nintendo would likely have to prove that Palworld used their code for assets or models.
If only someone made a palworld version of destiny where it is super similar but an actual good game with no micros and all pro consumer
So if a procedurally generated creature in No Mans Sky that looks suspiciously like an already existing pocket monster, does that mean Nintendo and affiliates have the right to go after Hello Games for it?
If Nintendo was able to sue Palworld for any reason, they likely would've done so already. Most of the hatred for this game is just from Pokemon fanboys.
You don't really need a valid reason to sue, you just need a judge to hear the case. Once you have that, it becomes a battle of financial attrition, with the objective of (or threat of) bankrupting the other party, particularly if the lawsuit sole purpose is too causing harm.
As the number of lawsuits increases across multiple countries, the financial toll can quickly amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars per day. If the goal is to inflict harm upon the other party, emerging victorious may not be the ultimate objective; rather, it is about compelling them to cease their actions.
Nintendo, and Apple have done this for decades, you don't need to win, in order to get your desired results, you just have to make the thought of a lawsuit as painful as possible, while making it as easy as possible for the other party to comply with your wishes.
"Shaymins body" a fucking hedgehog
Not the Kira tweet💀
Second cause this mf a wizard
LMAO
ULTRAKILL VIOLENCE MUSIC HOUH????
I myself see AI more as a tool to use to set a ground work and build manually from there, get the creative mindset going but then use your own two hands to make it more original. That's just me, I will admit Palworld is fun, plus it basically is scratching that "Pokemon friendship" itch by letting me set up a base (like gen 3 did), have more interaction with my pals, and fighting alongside them (unlike pokemon).
can anyone tell me how the two trailers shown at the beginning are supposed to be similar?
There’s only so much a game can change in a survival game before it becomes a sad shell
The main focus isn’t the survival part. It’s the collecting. The level progression is also much quicker when you just collect the pals
“It’s only game, why do you have to be mad”
Simple way to fight AI in the entertainment industry. Contact your reps and make sure AI creations CANNOT be copyrighted unless the images are FULLY remade using real people. This will keep artists on since they would need them to keep their copyright in IP.
Basically make sure everything made through AI can't be copyrighted or owned. Cause thats what these guys care more about, money.
I’d say that the game is made by a bunch of devs who like specific mechanics and want to combine them somehow legally because all their ideas was done before
they dont have grounds to sue well you just said they aren't suing
It’s like Elden ring. Bunch of unhappy people trying to make other people unhappy while playing a fun game. I wish we’d just ban social media, then no controversy would matter lol
I've been a pokemon fan for years, and every time anything is made remotely like pokemon, people flipped out that it is copying pokemon. I remember people freaking out about Temtem when that came out. However, Palworld is actually doing well and so pokemon fans are even more salty and loud about their displeasure. There are definitely many pals that are very similar to pokemon still, but people are taking it to the extreme.
love the content 🔥🔥🎰
Why are people so pressed about it. If you don’t like it go play the game you love. Some people are just haters that don’t like to see other people happy. Game is fun and addictive.
Palworld is everything pokemon COULD HAVE BEEN but decided not to so let there be PALWORD THIS GAME IS AMAZING
My biggest problem with pokemon is you can only play new ones on switch, the switch has straight awful performance and graphics. Palworld is miles better than pokemon Violet Scarlett.
Pall world is far from a great game, and further from an original game, however people play it because it’s fun and absurdly demented
Amongst many other reasons. Sure there's a lot to critique, I myself am always a little flabbergasted by Pals still being animate post death. But not enough people are listing just what goes into making this experience not just fun, but ridiculously addictive
“Imagine if men…”
The devs of Palworld noticed a want if not a desire for a monster capturing game that is based around a more "mature" style which is something gamers have been begging for, for years now. For those who are complaining about this game obviously don't care about the video game market and or don't understand how capitalism works, what we can't have options for these types of games? Isn't that called a monopoly?
I love pal world and Pokemon but Pokemon has been getting worse and worse since sword and shield, with that said it is bad to directly rip asset but people have been ripping Pokemon assets for years so I don't fully get why it's such a big deal. this game is a lot more fun that Pokemon in today's world but these are just my thoughts I don't care about drama I just play games and have fun.
I do think PocketPair is very very close to the line of ripping off other companies. Craftopia is the only one that I dont think is close to that line but palworld and the hollow knight like game definitely are close but there are enough differences that I dont think anyone has a legal foot to stand on. But nintendo/pokemon fanboys will simp hard for the billion dollar corporation.
As for AI in games. People get so mad about AI being used in indie games. I mean if the whole game was made using AI thats an issue but if it was used for just small things then people need to relax. HOWEVER if a a major AAA studio is using AI to save money instead of hiring artists or voice actors then I have an issue.
this people in all that drama are so weird, its just video games XD
How does no one see that video game industry is all copy cats lol.
Damn people have stooped to a new low if you are sending DEATH THREATS TO A VIDEO GAME COMPANY. I have the game and I honestly enjoy it. From the survival (ARK like elements) mode to the game, to a factory like engine (Satisfactory) and the animals (with what people say are POKEMON WITH GUNS). Its very fun and enjoyable. People need to really stop being so salty about the game.
Is only on pc for now lol
This game is just simply better than Pokémon and fans are so mad. I played Violet, and the game was mid at best. There hasn't been a fun Pokémon game in years, so everyone is mad that Palworld is doing what Pokémon can't do in a monster collection game.
Frankly, it looks like it was designed by AI trained on Pokemon. If that is so, then it is theft. From Nintendo, if using Pokemon, and from someone else if not using Pokemon unless somehow they were given access. Now that's just what it looks like to me. You can see how AI generated content reuses bits from what it was trained on, and lo and behold there are bits and pieces of Pokemon apparently in this Pal World stuff. Doesn't mean it necessarily was AI, of course, since copying can be done manually too. It's just suspect.
Of course, Asmongold is kind of right too. Consumers often seem to have the ethical spine of jellyfish and the foresight of Epimetheus. Eventually this AI nonsense will backfire on them too.
There was no theft, the person making the accusations admitted to faking it because it "made him mad" so he lied about it all, and the devs quite factually debunked the ai and copyright conspiracies. This is just a very good game, some weirdos just hate seeing success. I have had more fun on Palworld than I have had on ANY pokemon game ever. Nintendo white knights need to hop off.
Its only "bad" cause its popular. Tem Tem is way more of a pokemon rip off and no one said shit. Cause it didnt take off compared to pal world. (Im playing Pal world rn and i highly reccomend this shit its built fun first.)
The game is in extremely early access, 0.1.2 last I played. Do these people think the assets that are put into the game this early are the same assets that will be in the 1.0 release (actual release version)? When I was developing games we used assets from the store, and "programmer art" to have place holders. It wouldn't be fun to play a game where various (in this case) pals, items, environment etc would be cubes, spheres, and what not in different colors rather than simple assets.
The biggest surprise of this video is that anyone still plays PUBG lol
Palworld feels like its the most early access game ever.

Poke-who?

No disrespect but stick to d2 content you obviously don't know what you are talking about, I mean come one half the things you said are plain wrong. The thing about palworld is that it's competition and that's good when companies get complaints it stagnate so I say it's time for change, that said I'm not advocating for straight up copies but palworld has clearly innovated something that needed new blood.
Yeah, it didn't copy something. It took elements from various other games that worked, and removed stuff that didn't. That's borderline the definition of innovation. People get so confused between "innovation" and "invention," and somehow don't realize almost everything we have today is innovated not invented. For instance, a cell phone is basically a really fancy radio, but we don't say cell phones copied radios despite LITERALLY using radio waves. It took the voice ability of a radio, added ease of use and features, and most important was portability.
This is just ark but 10000x better
The more they hate it, the more prominent it gets.

Palworld is NOT a Pokémon ripoff. It is more of a revamp, or rather, a Pokémon game without being a Pokémon game. All the Pokémon games that have come out in the past 10 years or so have essentially been a copy paste of one another. No real new games. Palworld brings new game to the series (kind of) that is completely new. As far as A.I. goes, using A.I. to make code is not an issue in any way whatsoever. All it does is speed up the development process, by using A.I. to write code the same code that would've been made if written by hand, without a high risk of errors. And if it was used to make artwork, I don't see that as a problem either. In order to make decent A.I. artwork, you have to train the A.I. which takes a lot of time and patience. I have used A.I. and so have two of my friends, so I have first hand experience with it. Frankly, Asmongold is right though. It is a consumer based market. If an artist is complaining that an A.I. is making better art than him, then the artist should simply make better art than the A.I., it's not like it's perfect. Yes, Palworld has some messed up themes, but that's really up to the player if they want to engage in them. Mostly, it has the same themes as Pokémon. I won't be surprised if I see a lawsuit from Nintendo, as they're extremely greedy, and will do everything they can to destroy something that so much as slightly resembles one of their IPs. I personally fully support Palworld and its development team. It's one of the best games to be released in quite some time, and it's success is there for a reason.
I garuntee 95% of the pokemon crybabies who are mad at palworld havent even played the fucking game at all. They just whine and whine and whine. How about yall whine to Nintendo for not making a good pokemon game for the past 10 years
