Hi good job, I checked out loads of lights and that was the only lamp I could find that worked on the rear as well. Nice to see you did not hack the wiring up. The only issue you may want to check is the rear indicators may not far enough apart. There is a legal minimum width separation requirement in UK . Not sure what yours are but worth checking before you get a pull over from the boys in blue.

Hey Dorman, this might be a stupid question but what was the white male socket you inserted the tail light wires in to in order to fit with the interceptor female socket? I'm trying to put this same light on my bike but it's my first time so it's all a steep learning curve for me...
Great video thanks very useful. But i had to cut the wires for the rear indicators and use bullet connectors. Do you know which are live and earth? One is stripped the other plain black. The new led indicators i know which wire is which from the instructions but the wires on the bike.... No idea. Thanks
If anyone is interested in black handlebars for the interceptor, Hitchcocks motorcycles in the UK have a matte black set of bars that are the same dimensions as the originals but they are made in England and they don't have the brace. For those who want the same feel but different look. They are lighter than the originals as well.
friend of mine used such a led flasher relay also , but he told me the wirering was wrong so he had to cut open the connector and put them on the other way around
Mine aren't amazing in the daylight, I tend to give hand signals to make sure I'm seen if I think its needed. With small ones about the only ones that are really bright are the moto gadget blaze pins but they pricey gear!

@@petethomas4885 is your stop light the same as mine? I’m sure mines pretty bright not had any complaints. If you do anything to juice up the indicators you’ll just burn them out. Would either need to get bigger ones ie more surface area or pricey ones with Gucci LEDs like the moto gadgets. Or maybe something standard from another bike like off a triumph or something. I’m sticking with my hand signals for now in a busy area. Even a lot of modern car indicators are hard to see in the daylight so careless cagers need you to make it very obvious for them.
@@DormanDiaries my light looks the same as yours but it’s got a black lens cover on it. It’s no where near as bright as your though. I think I can remove the lens so I’ll check tomorrow if it’s dull without the dark lens.
how do I remove the white and black switch in the rear tail light, I'm trying to remove the fenders and the wires run through the fender and I'm having trouble removing the switch Edit : Yep figured it out after a gruelling 4 hours struggle, had been pressing the internal connector that locks it in place from the top but actually it opens up when pushed from the bottom through the gap to lift the other piece to let it slip though. Hi Desmond, Thank you. The first time around I used the stock bracket, I then decided to ditch it and re do it and I moved the indicators and made a smaller bracket for the number plate
They are bar end lights, no brand. Lots on ebay etc. Not really bright enough for daylight, fine from dusk onwards. I tend to give hand signals to be super safe where required.

Is it the same height and length as the original? I am doubting between the Renthal and the 780mm TEC type C because in the TEC I need to switch to the TEC Alloy 28.3mm handlebar clamps and it is more money. PACO FABREGAT - Hi Francisco, if you want ease of fitment and a similar riding position I’d suggest going with the tech setup. Mine are much straighter meaning less relaxed so I am looking to get some set back risers anyway. Also due to the width of mine about 810mm I’ve had to route the throttle cables to the back of the fork leg and will probably end up fitting extended cables. I think all things considered tec would be the easier and more satisfying set up for the majority.

Being as the new LED Tail Light is shallower that the original Tail Light, does the clear light lens of the new LED light illuminate the Number Plate sufficiently? If not would you recommend a different Bracket that is not so far from the Rear Light housing? To me it looks like the original Bracket is too far away from the new LED Light to illuminate the Number Plate sufficiently. More than happy to be proven wrong though. The reason I ask is that I am contemplating a similar setup using the same LED Tail Light. Many thanks.

Hello, great video ! Simeone told me that even with a led relay, indicators will not work properly because of the only one indicator for both indicators left and right on the speedmeter of the interceptor ( and continental gt ). Did they works for you only by replacing the relay ? Thx !

No I've not seen that, might check it out eventually. Not really bothered for extra power but I believe they run a bit lean so it might help longevity fitting such a device and increasing the fuel a touch.

I like your “how too’s” ... I kept the tail lights and changed out my indicators and wish I had seen this first. I would like to see a description of how to remove the bar ends and I’ve had a horrible job trying to put on aftermarket bar end mirrors.

Great installation! I've just installed a new rear brake unit on my interceptor and having an issue now where the rear brake light doesn't come on when braking.. front brake light works just fine, only problem is rear brake light. Any advice/guidance???
@@DormanDiaries So i've sorted the problem... turns out when connecting my booster plug i had actually connected it inbetween the rear brake light switch rather than the air intake temp sensor.....(who'd have thought they used the exact same socket type!). My new problem now is i believe on my interceptor the air temp sensor switch is located in a near impossible to reach spot under the air box... don't suppose you had this issue at all??

A fine pointy object to release the internal tabs in the plastic connector you will only have the metal connectors then that will slip through

Hello, the existing centres are 62mm up to 64mm due to the oval hole on one side. Hope this helps.

Great installation! I've just installed a new rear brake unit on my interceptor and having an issue now where the rear brake light doesn't come on when braking.. front brake light works just fine, only problem is rear brake light. Any advice/guidance???
Hi mate I’ll have a look a mine, a while since I did mine so can’t recall if there are two separate wires for front and rear brake.
@@DormanDiaries So i've sorted the problem... turns out when connecting my booster plug i had actually connected it inbetween the rear brake light switch rather than the air intake temp sensor.....(who'd have thought they used the exact same socket type!). My new problem now is i believe on my interceptor the air temp sensor switch is located in a near impossible to reach spot under the air box... don't suppose you had this issue at all??

Great Job! Thank you for these useful videos! What kind of relay would you suggest for LED turning lights? Local shops only have 3-pin relais and there is a huge amount of 2-pin relay on the internet. I'm worried of buying the wrong one. Would you suggest any in particular? Are there some specific features to look for? Thank you!
Hi Alessandro, any of the 2 pin led relays on the net should be fine, mines just a cheap one from China.

You could, but then you'd still have a huge tail light, depends on the look you're after. There are a variety available to suit all budgets.
