Marvel Vs. Capcom is one of my all time favorite games. And one that I played in the arcade, until I brought it home on the PlayStation. Then I realize how much more you could do with the exception of having a tag team. Join me and see some examples why I love this version over the arcade.

The 90s was a weird period where home console ports either cut corners or had weird balancing issues but at the same time also had more content and even characters
The arcade versions will always be the go-to for competitive play, but every time they re-release SFA3 with a third of the console roster missing and with no dramatic battles or world tour I die a little inside

I grew up starting with Atari and then went through the console wars (bit wars) up to today. I can tell you if you're looking for a good collection of the Street Fighter Alpha series, its on PlayStation 2 (Street Fighter Alpha Anthology). It literally has every version on it after you unlock them... ya know back when they gave you content and you got your moneys worth lol.

I used to love the dreamcast version, personally. Although, it was because it was pretty much a 1 for 1 port of the arcade version. Also, I used to love the crossover attack that they give you with the 3 bars because what they don't tell you is that in that mode, you have infinite meter. So while no, you can't cancel a super into another super, you still had tons of damage options available to you.
Although, I did like the fact that the PS1 version toned down the screen flashing.

This is actually interesting. I never knew these differences.

For some reason most people just say, it's not a good port, having never tried it or noticed what it brings. For me its all about the fun.

@@Zerotonothing76 what would be cool is if some you can choose what play style you want and if they could somehow combine it. Something like a groove system like in CVS2.

I prefer watching Star Wars in 4:3 on VHS. To each their own, as they say! You have some salient points though, even if I completely disagree.

Nah bruh it was slower and you couldnt tag in. Just like Sega Saturn had the best version of X Men Vs Street Fighter and Marvel Superheros Vs Street Fighter. *Boots up Xmen Vs Street Fighter on Sega Saturn*

If ya watch the whole video, I already mentioned that you can't switch, and I never said it's better than the arcade. I said I like it more than the arcade. It even says it in the title. 😆 It's called an opinion just like you have. It's about the fun. Now, at the same time, I also love the originals on the Saturn.

But the PS1 version looks so much jaggier dude. That ruins it for me personally. However Capcom should had put the PS1 versions of each respective Vs games on the upcoming MvC collection. Just to make it more "complete".
