Grand seiko has come up with 250k watch with extremely good movement and exclusivity.other brands are going to follow the trend. Rm has a good 5 years max . You have no idea what’s it made out of, how to get that material into a case, have no idea how they curved the sapphire, it’s an open work flying tourbillon, until you see a watch maker trying to assemble a flying Tourbillon you’d appreciate watchmaking and not judge it based on “velcro strap” or how it looks. It’s literary one of the best anti/shocked watches, light weight like crazy, and has high complications and precision, they’re doing what Pateks, Vacheron, and Audemars Piguey cannot do, and you’re telling them it’s not worth hundreds of years of innovation In watchmaking?

Here to clear up the drama: Richard Mille is pretty much the Bugatti of watches making extremely limited edition and high quality watches, this one here has over 100 pieces and was hand made, so if you wonder why it is 2.5m, there you go.
My smartwatch weights 31 grams and keeps track of my heart beat and sleeping patterns. It has a reserve power of 40 days on a single charge. It also costed me $40 with free shipping. I'd regret buying a RM 27-04 as a watch. It makes sense as an investment acquisition, but not as a watch.
But you can't buy it anyway and the people who can won't care about your opinion

There’s plenty of Velcro band watches from China that look like that for $35. If you step out of a Lamborghini with a $35 watch people will think it’s expensive if you step out of a $20,000 car with a 2 1/2 million dollar watch on people will think it’s fake and cheap.
