    Many videos on RUclips discuss fractals but talk nothing about how fractals are "actually" generated. This one just filled a gap which had existed for long. Great job!

      i totally agree with Mr Jitin Nair over here. This is the only video that started with iteration 1. thanks for gaping this knowledge to humanity sir.

    Mandelbrot will be recognized as one of the greatest mathematicians in history one day. His work has directly resulted in a better world. The only reason we dont have multiple antenna in our cell phone is due to Mandelbrot, his work inspired a radio tower tech to redesign antenna's using his equations and effectively altered human society. His work has increased the precision of map creation of the world. Far more accurately measuring landmass and coastlines around the globe. His work has enabled the most accurate calculations for measuring the volume of forests around the globe. So much will be based off of this man's work in the years ahead too. Just like Tesla, Mandelbrot wont be appreciated fully for decades to come.
    His equations can be viewed as the mathematics of life itself. This is how cells divide to create the systems within our bodies adhering to a standard process. This is the ruleset our bodies follow during the creation of life in the womb. Its why our circulatory system is the same in all humans, our nervous system, etc.

    Finally somebody put the Mandelbrot equation/theory in a way that this math challenged schmuck can comprehend . Albeit I had to watch this video several times. My ultimate goal is to design antennas for amateur radio. I know it's already been done but this for my ultimate satisfaction. I'm a 100% disabled vet and have tons of time on my hands. So let's have at it! Thank you!

    How hasn't this channel completely blown up yet? One of the best science-y RUclips-channels there are. Easy to follow and just the right mix of information and humor. Great job and keep it up!

    i enjoyed the slight emotional aside at the end there. Yes, most of your videos show and explain concrete scientific concepts, but sometimes the most valuable part of it all is that ethereal feeling that you described quite nicely

    Thanks for the vodeo. I'm curious why is 2 chosen for the boundary? Is this an arbitrary bound or is there a reason for this specific number? Whathappens when the boundary changes higher or lower? Is a similar shape to the mandelbrot set still produced?

    Let's say the universe we live in is formed with a formula like the mandlebrot set. Then that would explain deja vu we feel like we've experienced a moment before the moment happened like a repeat in pattern. Not saying we do live in a universe built on them principals, we don't have the insight to truly know what the universe is really about just yet. But we do know fractals appear in nature everywhere. And the behaviours and self similar patterns in the things we do and experience throughout our life, like the constant rhythm loop of an instrumental, the hook of the lyrics And the time distance between each pulse of a healthy heart is identical. Or the shape of the lungs. People are even trying to figure out if the human consciousness is fractal. And in a way it is. You build habits and they always repeat themselves, even verbal language is fractal in a sense. For instance there are certain things that always repeat. Like greetings. Good byes. The reasons we put punctuation in the desired places. Or even our daily routines, wake up, then get washed and brush our teeth have breakfast, grab all the things we need to pack for School, Collage, University, or work. Repeat the same processes over and over (that's the case for most individuals) then go home do the usual things with slight variation but still the same outcomes. Go to bed. And here comes the next iteration (day)
    Such and interesting concept.

    Not the best video I’ve seen on fractals; you completely gloss over stuff like complex numbers and seem to assume the watchers know already, and your sense of humor is irritating.

  • @DrTWG
    @DrTWG 7 лет назад +2

    Good video although I think you assume more knowledge on the part of the average viewer than you might think. It doesn't really go into the maths in any great detail which appears to have been your intention as stated early on. I would suggest more time explaining complex numbers and their representation on the complex plane. Remember you are not a teenager any more and I would drop the silly humour , I found this tiresome. You are engaging enough as it is and you are discussing a fascinating subject - this isn't cabaret. Stick to what you're good at and you can make some really good physics/maths stuff. Best wishes.

    Is this stuff real? Does it have anything to do with how God design the universe? I almost failed math. I have no idea what he is teaching. Do any of you?

    • @KeyBrute
      @KeyBrute 5 лет назад +1

      Yeah it's real and, depending if you believe in god, yeah god probably made math to build the universe.
