I sold LGBTQ clothing designs on a video game to my homophobic cousins, they still don’t know they had a pride flag on their sleeve, and they be wearing it in every game they go into on there XD
I had a teacher last year who had a small bucket of rainbow flags. She said that if anyone wanted one or two, they could take one, free of any questions. I took one and hid it in my closet. (I didn’t think that through 😂)
I have a friend that is a very great ally, and she helps me put the flag into my room, in places where you could *kinda* see it, but it isn’t fully displayed. When I’m out of the closet, the flag will be displayed properly, but for now, hiding it in plain sight is nice for me.
Idk why I wanted to say that, but I did.

Yep..."reasons" sounds good enough to me if I were your parent. Plus, your parents should support you doing art anyway no matter what you're drawing - especially if its a hidden pride flag.

I make a lot of pink, purple, blue embroidery in things like flowers or geometric designs. Cause... ya know.... the colors look good together 😂

Well, I'm not closeted, but my mom doesn't believe me. I have two rainbow flags, a trans flag, a pan flag, and I painted another trans flag on my wall, and my mom still thinks I'm completely cis and straight. So let add three more and see how it goes

I never wake up early but I told my mom to wake me up before 7 am but she didn’t and some weird miracle happened I woke up at 6.30 am , I’m a real big art fan and sometimes I accidentally left my sketch book at my family member their house and they started to suspect I was apart of the lgbt+ community but thanks to this it’ll be really easy to hide my pride until I come out to my family

Maybe just come out to them only if it’s safe and say guess what I’m not cis or if you don’t think they will know that term say your not your birth gender then have a gender reveal party esc thing and reveal it and have it say something like all of them or a joke then explain what it means and your terms pronouns ect and maybe have bracelets that have what pronouns you want used that day and help them feel more comfortable by explaining what you want from them and how they can change there actions to make you feel more comfortable

Well for example, I suck at drawing but I’m really good at making films and writing songs. Perhaps you’re good at poetry, dancing, or even helping a pride organization near you by showcasing your talents in organizing, leading, and volunteering.

Yeeeah...Much as I wish I knew how to draw well enough or anything like that... I do have colored pencils but I can't like... Draw people or even a Silhouette well for example...

Yeah? That's cool. I love writing... It's kind of my guilty pleasure I guess though because there's apparently all these rules to follow or you can't be a writer or something...
Real motivation killer. As dumb as I may sound for this...
I've had many tell me I don't make sense anyway, but in writing I seem to not meet all these requirements when I had been under the impression one should be able to write to express how 'they' feel... Not how the world feels. Also, people get triggered so easily that it feels like everything I try to write... Is walking on mines or something.
I'm constantly worried what I say in even comments comes out wrong...
But it has carried over into writing.
If it's too convoluted for anyone to understand, it feels like... What's the point? And It wrenches my heart I've fallen to that line of thinking...
But I'm actually droning on now.

I sent my dad a bisexual video and I told him to listen to the lyrics it was a bisexual song and my dad said I'm weird which hurt my feelings.

Being in the closet can be fun, just make it a game. (Do this only if you want or if it's safe to do so). Just do any subtle pride thing like art, clothes, phrases, ect and see who can figure it out first. I like it because of the secretive factor. (A Pride Spy hehe!)
I understand how hard it can be though, especially with homophobic family members or friends. I just thought that if you can make it a game, it can be less stressful for you.

I have a painting representing a field of tulips and I painted the tulips in the lesbian flag colors. Mom doesn't know.
Also my phone background is a tiny three-row rainbow in pan colors (Top- Pink, middle-yellow, bottom-blue) on black background. When mom noticed I said "I like neon colors and this looks really cute". She doesn't suspect a thing, In fact, I don't think she knows pansexuality is a thing anyways :D
(In case you're wondering, I'm pan, but I was in a lesbiantypicial relationship a year ago)

When I was in summer school we had art class on our last weekwe were doing this Northern Lights painting witn chalk and I made my flags Pansexual Non Binary and I did some of my friends flags and when I showed it to my mom and she didn't know they were pride flags and I asked her if she could hang it in my room And obviously she said yes and when I look at it I know what it means and it makes me proud and happy!
I went to BSA camp in June and they gave us leis for the Hawaiian theme. I collected blue, pink and purple leis and wore them as a sash all week. Nobody caught on.

Ok maybe it's just me but... I've always gotten really gay vibes from Bob Ross. He also says things while he's painting that like “Maybe that Tree, He’s not totally straight, he didn’t want to be a telephone pole when he grows up. He just wants to be an individual.” (Fisherman's Trail S28 E1). and "Trees don't grow even, they don't grow straight just however it makes them happy." (idfk what episode). That felt like hiding pride in a painting, and in my head that's what he was doing. Even if it was just as an ally.

I slipped the Abrosexual flag into my painting of the Dark Magician from Yu-Gi-Oh. I used it to fill in the white space around the card.

I am painting a small rubber bracelet in bi pride colors, so I can wear it when I am not near my parents and hopefully my friends can pick up on it.

No, don't worry. She just didn't want to get paint on her arms because she wasn't in her painting studio and we don't have a sink in my studio for her to wash her arms. I'm definitely going to make this. I made an air dry clay tea cup with a frog on it and my parents would never suspect a thing maybe until I paint it but blue, pink and purple are my favourite colours and the colours of my pride flag. I'm bi so I can use that as an excuse if anyone gets suspicious.

I always put lesbian flags all over my stuff and my little brother is getting suspicious...he asked "what flag is that?" So I made some dumb thing up and said it's called the chrome color scale 💀
In one of my drawings, I made a little painting of my characters gay parents and hid it in the background.
Yesterday I made a Bisexual flag for my room out of coloured paper but the shades were different ( I made the pink and blue really light and purple a bit dark ) and my parents didn't suspect a thing !!

I'm a gay trans guy (and also a goth) and I really don't like putting up the trans flag anywhere, and I'm still in the closet about being gay (I'm out on anonymous accounts like this one, and a lot of people say things like "You're just straight with extra steps" or "You can't trick actual gay men" or "You're just a girl with attention issues", so I'm really not looking forward to coming out...) I always wanted to make a painting that hides specifically the trans flag in it, I'm just not all that good at paintings... I'm an artists, but I much prefer dry mediums... ^^;
I know a girl who has this beautiful phone case with a sunrise on it, that just so happens to be the hidden trans flag, but that always felt too obvious for me, so now I'm trying to figure something else out...
I know this was posted 7 months ago but here is a suggestion. For a dry medium that could work well try art pastels. You can make a mountain landscape with it or a fake record from your favorite band that happens to use the trans flag colors in that order, maybe make them a bit more dull instead of the usually bright colors. Hope that suggestion brings some inpiration for you.
Stay strong and know you are respected, don't let anyone drag you down with their nonsense.

I used acryllics for it, and it's a white butterfly, with some slight pink and blue in it, on a rainbow background.
If you know, you know. If you don't, it's just a butterfly.

I've been incorporating queer coded imagery in my work. If you can't put a flag out, try using a green carnation, peacock feather, lavender flower, handkerchief, pink or black triangles, snail, broccoli, clown fish, or other sneaky queer visuals for some quiet pride celebrating. Love and solidarity to anybody that can't be loud and proud...yet. 🌿Your time will come. 💜
I had a girlfriend (this happened today) And guess what her family members were homophobic, and she was just crying about what happened but were still best friends it's just I still Love her and care for her I don't want her to move on with somebody else :( Edit: I'm thinking about a secret relationship with her but I'm too clingy so the family members will notice :/)

Suddenly I'm a huge fan of art. I need *this* and *this* and *that* painting.
I actually made a piece about the toxicity of straight pride! It was simple, but it was the general pride flag (rainbow with the black, pink, light blue, and white) with the corner burned off and behond it the straight pride flag.
There is no “straight pride”, it’s literally being a normal person, as opposed to the buttsex flag.
