- Joe's Bikes - Cannondale Super Six Evo Di2 7.6kg Bike Build (Monochrome)
--------------------------------------------------
We are extremely honoured to bring you this bike build video as this bike was actually made especially for our Cannondale rep, and was then on display at the Official Cannondale 2020 release conference.
Due to the modifications to the bike it is actually likely to be less than 7.6kg as suggested in the title.
If you enjoy this video please support us by subscribing and checking out our other videos, or visit our website at joesbikes.co.uk where we sell a range of cannondale bikes and plenty other brands there to buy.

Can't bring myself to buy a new frameset for disk brakes. My old (2005) Pinarello F4:13 in a size 53 built up with a few trick components (notably eTap and bits of carbon and Ti) over the years and Mavic UST Ksyrium tubeless aluminum wheels weighs in at 6.9Kg with pedals and bottle cages. Why switch to something that weighs an extra kg or more for the price of a good used car? I live in very mountainous terrain and value a light bike. Sure the Cannondale looks pretty and the dropped seat stays are all the rage. I'm sure lots of people will disagree LOL. Well made video and really fun to watch the build. I need to buy a pot of grease and get a brush too, like a pro.
Thanks. I'll be by to pick it up tomorrow :)
Why those pedals?
Thanks for the video. Cannondale Super Six Evo my dream bike
Perfect job, again. Speed bikes are beautiful work of art too.
The eggbeater pedals would be the owner's preference. Lots of people use mtb pedals on road bikes. Nothing weird about that.
Great video .. I bought the same bike a few months ago. But I am so glad Cannondale no longer uses these cheap and bad looking disc rotors shown in your video (shown at 6:47). I would have asked the dealer immediately to swap them with real Ultegra ice-tech rotors.
Totally agree
Awesome bike build, relaxing! Video has has bad ass status. Great job!
Great Bike.
You did a nice Job.😎👍
Best Wishes and Big support from germany
Great vid and beaut bike - but that’s a lot of stack
Hi Nick, glad you enjoyed the video. You are right, a lot of stack for sure. We leave them tall a lot of the time as we can always trim more off when the customer decides on the finishing stack required. After all we can't add height later! We sometimes have to move spacers from below to above the stem a few time before we do the final cutting. Thanks for watching and I hope the answer helped, cheers Joe.
not enough spacers............
Very nice bike.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. I was LOVING this until the Crank Brothers pedals... WTF? Who puts those on a Super Six?
I would. I put them on my other bikes.
Also... I use MTB shoes on my road bike.
And list of blasphemies goes on and on...;)
Absolutely outstanding work love your channel glad to subscribe keep up the good work sir
Nice bike build. I have the 2020 Supersix evo hi-mode with the integrated cockpit and am looking to travel with it using a bike case. What is the best way to remove the integrated cockpit/handlebars for packaging? Should I leave the integrated stem and bars together by removing the stem from steerer tube or should I try removing the handlebars from the stem?
Where was the Di2 junction box? The switch plate in the downtube was solid carbon and I thought this model came with the charge port in the downtube. Great video, very well put together.
Why in the handlebar vs the down tube cutout?
same question, where is the di2 junction box?
This is a very nice and beautiful build/bike. Everyone here seem to know what other people should choose and use. What a weird world we live in. Most of their opinions formed from watching youtube videos. Not first hand experience.
great job!!!!
super dope vid, build and music. just subbed.
very very nice job and video!! Thanks
When you put the sticker on i was all smh eeeesshhh! lol
Pls, what was the white paste you brushed onto the fork before inserting into the head tube?
1:43 how to overtorque with torque wrench
Hi.. Can you share the list of di2 components for this supersix evo? Thanks in advance!
I picked up one of these bikes but am disappointed by how harsh and stiff it rides.. not sure what to take a look at. 25c tires with about 75 psi on the stock Knot 45SL wheels.
Hi there, they are a very stiff frame making for a very light bike. There is supposed to be a bit of give/flex in the rear to aid comfort but having ridden a similarly spec'd Carbon Topstone I think I'd rather have one of those. Personal choice but there is no doubt the Super Six if blisteringly fast. As you say tyres and pressures can make a difference and wider tyres with less pressure would help with comfort. I hope you enjoyed the video and hope you get your bike how you like it, cheers Joe.
Very Sweet!! Subed and liked!!
Nice
which powermeter was used?
very good mecanik
On the new SS EVO, how do you release the front wheel? The quick release caliper is all different from what I am used to and I am afraid I am going to damage the front fork. If anyone knows, please advise. Thanks!
@@JoesBikesUK Thanks! This helps but I am pretty new to bike maintenance.... How do I go about unwinding the axle? Do I need a hex key to do it? The lever/quick release caliper on the right side of the front axle does not seem to open the way the old ones do; so I am still a little lost? This is a new Super Six EVO (2020) and I want to change out my factory tires to Continentals GP 5000s, (less rolling resistance).
Is this bike a good choice for century rides?
Get it!
Cheers Jawad ;-)
What's the actual time to build this bike?
This should be lighter than what's mentioned. My aeroad disc 404 PM pedals cages & mount is at 7.4 🤔
Is the frame lifetime warranty from cannondale?
Seriously you use those pedals?
@@JoesBikesUK bad choice
Is that Hi Mod version? Add bottle cage, pedal, garmin mount: 7.9kg
Yes it is. High end road bikes 2020... :(
Muy bonita .
Can 28/30mm tyres be installed?
Yes
Have to be all black color
I’m enjoying the bike so far ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
Cheers
7.6kg for a SuperSix Evo is too heavy :(
Kidding right? 1. Ultegra 2.Disc 3. Power meter (unactivated). 4. Aero wheels. It's not going to be super light.
Unfortunately manufacturers insist on discs and they just can't be as light as rim brakes
Kidding right? Have SS Evo disc power meter (activated) Aero wheels exactly 6.87 kg. Now go to bed with your assumptions.
Jan Kowalski I love how people got triggered so easily nowadays. Then how do you explain that the bike in the video is that heavy?! And btw, activating your power meter will shave off a few grams from it 😂💪🏻 weird flex but ok.
@@khuongdtx If you would read all replys to your comment you could realise that my reply was to ricric. If you care to read what he wrote than you get my comment point.
Thanks
Awesome video wanna build my new synapse for me? 😃
Nice! What size is this bike?
@@JoesBikesUK 54, in video 0:30
Lol long got everybody flipping out about the pedals
looked quiet good until you put a pair of eggbeaters on and the finishing tape on the bar, not so pro.
Eggbeaters, seriously?
Goes well with the 35mm of extra stack. This dentist knows what he wants.
@@jbaillie I reckon cardiologist.
Lots of people have been ridden off the wheel by dudes on road bikes using mtb pedals.
Is this the Hi Mod or std balistec model? Looks like himod based on wheels and knot stem
Himod..carbon wheels...7.6kg??.........i wonder the weight of that carbon db wheels
4:55... 54 mi size...
A venge size 56 weighs less, aero, and lighter.
Tarmac
@@EugeneJefimov Either one, I'd rather have either one of them before a canondale, they've really gone downhill as a brand.
why new climbing bike weight like aero bike!? i don't understand.....
ps. Team Ineos choose for rim brake.... MARGINAL GAINZ RULEZ
Team me chooses rim brakes too, except for me cloddy.
7.6 kg???? Wihtout pedals, Garmin support... WTF!!!!!!!!! disc brakes the future :)
I was just about to comment this.
Not to mention that they call " lightweight climbing machine".
Eggbeaters and 2" of spacers, that just feels wrong. Could have been a nice build...
@@JoesBikesUK Of course :) Just feelt weird on a race bike. Well made video!
Hi mod?
yes it is
10k bike kilo over uci limit. Somebody hit his head tyvm.
Meu dels usando caixa selada numa bike dessas, quanto amadorismo
That made in China stamp tho ...
Ah, you can't just steal the Hot Wheels logo for your background, can you?
First
Nice but way to many spacers, it brakes the cosmetic lines of the bike, also nobody uses those pedals anymore!
Horrible disc brake, dull, boring looking bike! On the plus side the tyres brighten it up!
those r the ugliest stem
