    I use to be on section 8 years ago, it was a lifesaver during the time that I had it but I wanted more for me and my children. I got tired of the housing inspections, filling out forms etc. I decided to get my certifications in education and I haven’t looked back. Congratulations on making more money and being self sufficient, I’m proud of you.🙂

      Hello my friend. Yes! I’m definitely tired of the paperwork, the inspections, the rules and them being all up in my business. Hang on in there school is almost out. We have 2 weeks left.

      I was on subsidy as well and once I got off I lost my mind with working two jobs and doing crazy overtime and damn near tripled my income and now I'm quite proud of myself. I literally now have a great emergency fund and I have savings! Being independent is so fulfilling!

      Not being mean. But if you don’t want people in your business. How about you pay your own rent ? Section 8 and welfare /foodstamps has decimated the black community and family. Just like the democrats wanted. Now they are dependent on voting for democrats.

    • @maryl234
      @maryl234 7 месяцев назад

      Tired of the forms to pay 1/3 of the rent? You should be more grateful vs. complaining about taxpayers funding the roof over your head. The rich don't carry you - the hard working disappearing middle class pays not only their high housing cost - but yours, too.

    I’m 53, I have no children. I’m at a very low point, I have given up. I’m living at my parents house. I had a Section 8 voucher for a very long time, then the place I was at wouldn’t renew my lease. I’m trying to find a womens group home to get into now. I have a high school diploma and some college. I admire that you’re trying, but you need to know that you’re in a situation that is difficult to get out of. The best thing you can do is stay the hell away from using those credit cards!!! Pay them off and don’t use them at all unless it comes down to you needing them to pay your rent. Watch carefully what you’re paying for food and things like toilet paper and cleaning supplies. ❤

Don’t get me wrong I’m grateful to have had the stepping stone but it’s now time to do better. If she is mad that I want to do better then I don’t know what to tell her

    • @sj9410
      @sj9410 4 месяца назад

      Making 16.51 an hour with 2 kids should qualify you for food stamps. Unless you're a dual income household.

    • @lovelife7343
      @lovelife7343 4 месяца назад

      @@sj9410 I have no mortgage payment just property tax and insurance so my income is to high . One income household . They said a few years ago I qualified for $51 a month . I can work overtime a few days a year and make more than that. Unfortunately I haven't had overtime for the last 8 months but we do fine budgeting.

Took money i was saving towards a new used on to repair her for $1500.86 .

    Sometimes I get frustrated because it seems like most of the money I am saving by being responsible and budgeting is then just going to the next corporation that raises their prices 6, 8, 10 percent.

      Thank you so much Rich Auntie. I’m working on getting monetize. I had some old videos that contained copyright material so I’m in the process of saving them and deleting them. It’s a whole process for this monetization stuff.
