Just try to diversify your portfolio to other market sectors, that way your investment is balanced and you don’t get to make so much losses.

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again

In my opinion I do feel sometimes protecting your capital feels more important than making money, I'd say this due to the fact that if you lose your capital making money is much more harder. Missing the train vs loosing your money. There're a lot of trains if you ask me, however if you do lose your money its gone.

When the time is ripe, you will be able to use those skills and make a much higher salary than most people. Good luck on the journey

My biggest irk with ETFs is the lack of optimization;changes in any given stock in the ETF can drag your portfolio down. While dividends can provide immediate income, the true power lies in the compounding effect over many years. But in general, I think the stock market isn't showing any sign of slowdown and I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...

I disagree slightly with the last tip about paying off debt before starting to invest. It can be beneficial to invest even the thinnest amount to build the habit sooner. Paying off debt is not always a linear process and can take several years, I think investing even 20$ a month can make a huge difference in motivating people and building momentum to actually take control of their finances

The point is to eliminate debt and have an emergency fund so you never need to withdraw your invest to cover debt, small amounts are better used towards paying off consumer debt vs investments as the returns are so minimal

Always aim to pay off debt first since the interest on debt will always be higher than your return on your investment. No point on investing if you're loosing money paying off your debt and investing at the same time. Dave Ramsey breaks it down in baby steps. Stick to the baby steps and get rid of your debt!

My aunt passed away, and I inherited some of her portfolio and cash savings. I'm 51 and have about 400k in cash savings. Everyone's telling me to invest, so what stocks are good for a long-term buy? The only major purchase I plan to make is buying a home in 5 years from my returns.

I believe the safest approach is to diversify your investments. By spreading your funds across different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and international stocks than putting all your money in one. If your financial understanding is lacking, see a financial consultant.

Rose…remember last year when we got scammed by people impersonating you? As you know, we are an older couple, and we got scammed out of our entire their life savings. What I don’t get is, Rose, you KNEW it was going on and did nothing. They know their way around the taxes and the market better. Just like you, I don't stay in the US, I stay in Canada but made my first 6 digits last year only after more than a year of losing a lot of my hard-earned money by trial and error investing through the US market. Great video.
Last week I increased the amount going into my 401K to the max amount 50+ provision most of this is a ROTH 401K except for the amount I needed for the company match which is the pre-tax 401K. I'm investing in a managed fund that has a fairly low expense ratio and is heavy in bonds and the bulk of my money goes into a S&P500 index fund.
This week I opened up a taxable brokerage account to start investing in an international stock index fund ETF that will give me international exposure in my portfolio. Good times.

BRAVO ROSE! BRAVO!!! FINALLY! Someone who knows how to explain what investing is and what all those terminologies mean. You broke it down like a fraction. I almost didn't click this video for fear that it would contain investment-level jargon where you're watching the video in one browser, with an investor's dictionary in the next attempting to understand what an index fund really is. @aureliobjm HEATHER LEE LARIONI guides me. She works with Empower FinanciaI services. But there are a lot of independent advisors you might look into. For me, her strategy works hence my result. She provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on

Thank you! This is what I needed!!! I think many people don't know how to buy or what to buy....we all know investments are important for retirement, but the language and all the processes is just intimidating.

I was told to spread my money across different things like stocks and bonds to protect my $750k retirement savings. Now, with the markets being shaky, should I keep adding money to my portfolio or consider other options?

Thank you SO much for this video. I have clicked though tons of beginner investing videos that skipped the basic knowledge or just used lots of jargon without defining it so I was overwhelmed. This video helped me so much.

When dealing with a hardship credit debts, student loans and I decided to start saving $5 per day. That’s like saving from a cup of tea or coffee. It’s best to make your own to saved. Also, it’s a lifestyle what I’m used to but it’s all about mindset at the end of day. Good content

This is the breakthrough for me, Awesome information. The Credit card part is tough though. I can't wait to pay off credit cards before investing at my age. I have to work on both at the same time. I was trying to decide b/w Fidelity and Vanguard, great to know that both are good.
