Thank you, for the lovely video and idea. If you put your hand behind the leather when you hold it up the camera it will focus on that plane (and the leather) rather than on your thumbs. As the leather's quite dark, it's picking out the obvious lighter areas - your hands - when you move things off the worksurface. Also, dark thread on dark leather was a little hard to follow. While watching, I was wondering what this would look like if the last thread had been a completely differnt colour, like a dark orange. I may try that.
