In fact, after Gary's death, Green had been offered the guitar back but declined, stating "Oh god no, look at the state that thing is in!" Peter Green likes his guitars in mint condition.

Studio, road played jammed with famous musicians etc and they ALL have said what I have about speed. Gary Moore was an AMAZING player, singer and musician! Super charged hard rock to fusion is different than blues. That was my point. Going from metal to blues is an adjustment which Gary did exceedingly well. If Gary were alive he would agree with all I have said. What I said was out of respect for and of him. It was objective.
Nope..that was Peter Green in disguise. Lol. Gary puts his soul in this song. Much respect to my hero.Mr. Gary Moore. So soft but also beautiful at the same time.
This one, Stormy Monday, Red House and The Messiah Will Come are all masterly executed. The emotions conveyed to me from those tunes is something no other guitarist manage. One can argue what guitarist is the technically best, but to me no one beats Gary at using the guitar to convey feelings.
That man was truly a master of his craft. No one I have ever heard before or since him has had the ability to wrench the virtual sounds that dwell within his soul and project those feelings onto the strings that he so masterfully played for us. We were and are hearing the sounds of his very soul. I am 56 years old. I have been completely in love with music and specifically, the guitar since I first heard the strained melodies of the beatles, coming from my older teenage sister's room as they played on her portable turntable. I soon picked one up at the age of 6. I've never put it down. I have had the good fortune and opportunity to hear and see some of the greatest musicians of our time. Over the years I've seen up close and personal, the likes of Page, Gilmour, Clapton, Beck, Stevie Ray, Santana, Trower, West, Knofler, Buddy Guy, BB King, May, Satriani, DiMeola, Buchanan, Betts, Mack, and absolutely, my newest favorite...Joe Bonamassa. That's just a short list by far but when I think of Gary Moore, I remember the time back in the mid 80's when I heard across the fm dial, while out driving that Gary was going to play a little club in the cincinnati area that I frequented, called Bogarts. I turned my car around and immediately raced down to the nearest ticket office to buy the tickets to heaven for me and a friend. The venue was general admission, so i'd be able to work my way to the front and see the master at last!! Alas, a few weeks later the concert was Cancelled due to "Lack of Ticket Sales"!!! I couldn't believe it! What a travesty!! Unfortunately, He never played anywhere near us again to my knowledge and I missed seeing my all time favorite musician. I still well up just thinking about that missed opportunity. RIP Mr. Gary Moore. You are and always will be missed. Thank you for the legacy of music you left for us and for showing us the way!!
that is a bummer Terence my brother left me home and he went to see Thin Lizzy and Gary was the guitarist . He turned me on to his music after that night been listening ever since a true master. I have seen all the guitarists you listed except Knofler and Mack I did see Rory Gallagher a few times all in the San Francisco area. Memories all good :)

DiMeola would sound out of place on a country ballad but he would probably play different; to the SONG! I have been playing 50 years.
And that ladies and Gentlemen was the late great Gary Moore
Nope..that was Peter Green in disguise. Lol. Gary puts his soul in this song. Much respect to my hero.Mr. Gary Moore. So soft but also beautiful at the same time.
Like I've said before, his fingers speak words with so much feeling.. listen
I credit it to Gary being left-handed...
This one, Stormy Monday, Red House and The Messiah Will Come are all masterly executed. The emotions conveyed to me from those tunes is something no other guitarist manage. One can argue what guitarist is the technically best, but to me no one beats Gary at using the guitar to convey feelings.
Other than Peter Green, that is. And BB King, of course.
@@beoz658 great memories! I used to work the An Arbor Blues Fests and was able to see all the great blues men and meet them back stage..too many to name...followed them all through the years ..i moved to the VI's and lost most of my signed autographs i still have Johnny Winters, The Wailers and George Harrisons..but lost most of the Blues sigs..I still have the photo I took of Michael Bloomfield when he played piano and sang in a small bar close to where i lived in Cali
VH Rocks I wish I had had the opportunity to see Gallagher as well. What an amazing talent we lost there as well. All I can say is if there is a heaven, then I hope to be happily jamming in bliss listening to these masters and many more for all eternity.
I imagined the guitar would be good, but forgot just how great a singer he was, wow.
Gary was such an incredible talent...
Every note, every beat, every lyric is perfectly at home in this masterpiece performance. Gary plays too loud? I don't think so. Gary played the blues like none other. RIP sir Gary Moore. I just knighted him for the world.
Absolutely insane. Best slow blues on RUclips

James sweet here I love blues in general alot but Gary does this song live and absolutely kills it on both the vocals and the 🎸 guitar is so moving I never get tired of listening to music as much as possible he was one if the greatest blues singers and guitarists I've ever heard bin my life and I'm 57 so I've heard some great blues but his is a cut above the rest pure genius. Not all great blues artists can sing and play the guitar so great he and banomassa are the 2 best I've ever heard and I've seen Robin Trower 5 times in concert I never unfortunately saw Gary in concert but love listening to his music it like a massage for your ears he,s so great RIP GARY YOU WILL BE IMMORTAL BECAUSE YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FIR DECADES AND DECADES AFTER UR GONE WHAT AN INCREDIBLE GIFT TO GIVE US THANK U GARY FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE BLUES HEART ❤️
