I an 31 this year, since my freshman year at 'Heroin High' my life has never been the same. I am plagued with beautiful friendships that have tragic endings. Today.... 04.21.23 one of my best friends is in rehab but I fear for the worst. I am sad now.... Dear David, back in Bogota, Colombia I´m listening to this beutiful song I heard back in "68" for the first time. Since then it has been one of my favorite songs eventhough the wealth of sorrounding music. Today at 66 it souns as good as the first time. As a public health physician quite concerned with has happened with this disease quite similar to what happened 102 years ago. I learned about Gary Moore about 7 years and couldn't believe what I was hearing. He became my favorite guitar player and the best I had ever heard. And I have heard and followed many. I have listened to almost everything he has done. His music just fills my heart and soul. I just wish that I could have had the opportunity to see him in person. I learned about Gary Moore about 7 years and couldn't believe what I was hearing. He became my favorite guitar player and the best I had ever heard. And I have heard and followed many. I have listened to almost everything he has done. His music just fills my heart and soul. I just wish that I could have had the opportunity to see him in person. It's such a shame that most of the people in this country do not even know of him. Their loss. But the one's who do know his music will always have it to hear and know that he was one of the best. A lot of guitar players can shred, play complicated arpeggios or tapping tech or wammy bar effects, but only a few off them can do the most important thing for a guitar player, to deliver a feel and emotions through the guitar playing, gary moore was one off the few in that category, the original version of the song was phenomenal but also gary moore's version is highly good, thanks gary, R.I.P, thanks for sharing
I agree, I think one who is right up there with him is Carlos Santana. They both play with a lot of emotion through their guitar.
