I love this basket! It's perfect for what I want to use it for. I want this to be a large laundry basket. Do you recommend lining it with plastic to prevent the inside from getting wet? Your crochet work is just beautiful. I'm so happy I found your RUclips channel.
I would say 3-4 skeins. I made all four baskets with 10 skeins of yarn, and I had some left over. Since this is the largest of the baskets, I would think 3 skeins would be plenty, but I didn’t keep up with the individual baskets - I should have 🤗
@@CrochetWithJulie Hey!! It's been a minute, but I finished the base! I stopped at 44 rows 🎉 it's coming along really well! And it didn't actually take me very long, I just got busy with school and didn't work on it for several months 😅
@@CrochetWithJulie I am done working the bottom and I have been working on the sides that entail the triple cross pattern and I have made baskets in the past, but it doesn’t seem to be curbing up. I have not added any stitches. What have I done wrong?
It should stand up mostly on its own, but if not, stuff it with anything to force it to stand and let it sit for a few days. It is a soft basket, so it won’t be stiff.
Wow, this is awesome, completely different from watching previous vids. Lovely pattern, thank you!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that :)
Absolutely beautiful! Adding this to my project list!
Thank you so much! 😊
Beautiful!
Thank you 😊

Can you please tell me if I should use a plastic liner since this will be a laundry basket? How can I make this without ruining the look?

I can’t understand why you haven’t received a reply yet, it’s not like she has hundreds of comments.
beautiful!
Thank you for taking the time to comment! 😁
Hi! Sorry if you may have said this throughout the video, but about how much yarn did you end up using?

So looking at all your baskets in this series, could I make a bigger basket by just starting with more rows? Like 30 or 32 instead of 28?
Yes! If you end up doing this and want the handles, send me the row size you end with, and I’ll send you the pattern for the handles!
@@CrochetWithJulie Ok sweet!! Thank you so much! I'll let you know, I started on the base yesterday 😁
@@emilywren3495 Yay!!! Happy crocheting 🧶

@@emilywren3495 that is the story of my life with my crochet projects! I am so glad it is working out for you!!!
Will my basket eventually shape up to be round? Right no w it looks like a flat mat.
@@debragrace9717 when you stop increasing and start placing one stitch in each stitch instead, it will start to shape upwards.

How to make the basket stiff and stand up?

idk why the bottom of the basket wasn’t shown in the video
@@pendejap5915 It is the first few steps (the base increasing circle). And, I didn’t show it because my filming table is very small.
