God bless it! I finally found a pattern to adapt to what I want to do next!
I have some cotton jersey knit sheets I'm no longer going to use. (Walmart T-shirt Jersey sheets.) I'm going to cut them into a continuous strip to create t-shirt yarn.
I'm going to increase the base and enlarge the handles appropriately. I may add another slip stich row at the very top for extra strength because I'm making a 100% cotton (and therefore washable) laundry basket! Nothing terribly large, but just big enough to hold about a load and a half. I don't want the contents to get too heavy AND it will allow me to keep on top of my laundry chores!

Loved this! It made up beautifully! I changed my handles up, I made this to hang on some hooks in the bathroom, so I have 2 smaller holes on the back, I chained 3 and skipped 3, and followed the pattern. I’m so pleased. I will make another just like the pattern. For my dining room!

    (Gosh, you have beautiful hands!)
I've never worked with chunky yarn before, so I'm going to get some and make one of these baskets.
I've also realized a shortcoming of another pattern (not one of yours)-- for handles, crochet AROUND that chain instead of through it. Makes a much sturdier-looking and -feeling handle!
    Thanks!

Love this project! Made a basket for Mother’s Day, after letting her pick out the yarn colors and not telling her what it was for!
