Does anyone know, in order to do a "Cover", do you need some kind of special permission? If I wanted to do a cover of a track in a video game, how would I go about doing it? If I just call it a "cover", is that legit enough, not to get in trouble?

It depends on if you want to sell it. Then you need to get a licence. If you do it just for fun on RUclips then you can try without the licence. The worst that can happen is the it would get blocked or claimed. If money is involved then be sure to have a licence ;)
