Good morning Rochielin and Famielin. Blessings. Rochielin if I was your contractor you would have fired me as I would have needed more materials to build a secure base capable of withstanding unpredictable forces of nature and any future additions to the original design. I would be connecting the base of all 4 concrete post and step below surface with steel and cement. Referred to as tying or locking by builders.
The container was reinforced to all four posts and steps afterwards to withstand forces of nature. It was also earthed and grounded to prevent electrical shocks along with other preventative measures taken to ensure safety, compliance and maximum comfort. All bases were covered man lol this was a well researched passion project of mine . Thanks for the usual support ❤️
@@Rochielin I'll send you an email to show what I meant. That project has been a real estate money project in Trinidad years now. University Students had the best apartments or townhouse in St Augustine.

This is amazing Rochielin. I've been following tiny spaces, tiny living, container homes on RUclips and I'm really impressed by their style of living. It goes to show we don't need so much space. As they say less is more.

I love this video, I've been watching videos of African countries building with containers, and I was wonder when this brilliant idea will reach the Jamaica builders with the amount of container being shipped by Repats/Diaspers moving back to Jamaica and also shipping companies.

GOOD IDEA ROCHIELIN. I LIVE IN A 2X20 FT CONTAINERS.VERY SPACEY.2 BEDROOMS,LIVING ROOM,BATHROOM,KITCHEN AND WASH ROOM.EVEN PORCH.BUT WE SAND DASH IT ON THE OUTSIDE.INSIDE WE USE CEMENT BOARD ND THEN WE PLASTER IT WITH CEMENT.LOOKING REAL GOOD
Did you need any special permits...how do you like it so far..any down sides?
No I didn't get permit for containers. I don't know for other countries but here we don't get permit for container house.Yes I love it so much.I have no down side.
Containers are very expensive.My husband get them on a deal.And is in US dollar

Good going. Glad to see this in Jamaica 🇯🇲. Tiny houses generally have a higher value per square feet since it's people who prefer quality over quantity that go that route.

Bwoy Rochie I am with you on the sloppy work some workmen do. I literally chose to buy my house from a developer rather than build from scratch. Mi fraid a project overrun, sloppy work and just workman crosses. Mi neh wah mi house turn into a block shell with tree a grow inna it.
