    Would be amazing if you could review some active speakers such as Buchardt a700, Kef LS60,Dynaudio Focus etc. There is an increased demand for active speakers thanks to widespread streaming all over the world.
    Keep up the good work, bro!

    I always enjoy your informative, honest, accurate, real world speaker reviews! I recently bought the discontinued Klilsch RP 160M for $299 at Cruthfield and truly enjoy them. Since they are such a great buy and better built (20 lbs ea) than the 600Ms, I was wondering if you would do a review on them and😅 compare them to the Heco Auroa 300s. Thanks Joe C.

      I haven't had much experience with Klipsch, as I always thought them too bright/brittle. However given a number of reviews I decided to try these two speakers. For me, the R50-M's were superior in that they were less "klipsch-like" -- I found them to have excellent vocal presentation, and while detailed, never bitingly so. The 500's build quality seems better, but I found them too sterile with too much emphasis on the horn. It's not a huge difference, but one that, again, to me, was noticeable. Per Sean on zero fidelity I tried the Aiyima t-9 (mine has NOS Mullard tubes), and found it to be a really enjoyable listen in my 95% analog system. Bass on both is adequate but that's not a top priority for me; I may try one of the Jamo subs though. FWIW I tend towards jazz, Americana, and acoustic music. Hope this is helpful? Cheers...

      depends how loud you like your music, the BR03 is a great speaker and has a fuller sound but becomes a little aggressive in the highs if you push the volume too much while the R50M seems to be happy at any volume but has a thinner sound by direct comparison.

    I LOVE the way Klipsch speakers look with that orange/copper midwoofer. Unfortunately they just refuse to make a speaker that isn't treble heavy. And then even with their higher end large speakers(Heresy for example) they don't even brace the box! So you get a big, nice looking speaker with massive resonances throughout the entire frequency response(literally all over) and they ask like $3000 for it lmao.

    • @NemoPropaganda
      @NemoPropaganda  Год назад

      the old school style larger towers intentionally had thinner cabinets and minimal bracing, its part of the tuning of the sound and part of the reason so many people like them. Not every speaker needs or should have a heavily braced cabinet.

    • @nexus4googleplay612
      @nexus4googleplay612 Год назад +1

      As someone who owns Klipsch RP-500m IIs (and dislikes bright sounding speakers): they are not at all treble-heavy. They just need to be paired with the right amplifier (I have a NAD C316BEE) and you can't toe them in hard. Just point them forward at the room.

      @@NemoPropaganda I don't think they exist, they are not on the Klipsch website, only the R-50M is. Best Buy mixed them up with the RP-500M II and (mistakenly) listed them as the R-50M II, but I'm pretty sure it's just the R-50M. I know because I bought a pair after watching this video when they were on sale for $199. Well, I actually got a used pair for $179 and applied $25 in rewards to better the deal. I was considering the RP-500M II as they were also on sale, but I think they were about double the price, not something I could justify given how I plan to use them, just for occasional movies with the kids. Love the comparisons. I really like the original ELAC UB5. At its current price I think it’s kind of a giant killer…same level as the original KEF LS50. JBL 530 is another giant killer.

    • @NemoPropaganda
      @NemoPropaganda  Год назад

      I never heard those but I always found fault with most of the affordable elacs and felt they were a bit overhyped. They can be killer when paired to amps 10x their price but not when paired with similarly priced gear. I know a lot of people love them though so maybe its just me.

      @@NemoPropaganda The Debut and Debut 2.0 line sound nothing like the Uni-Fi line…which was 2-2.5 times more expensive. I do think that the ELAC BS-41 is trash. The Debut line is pretty good though.

      @@seanb3303 I hated debut, I loved DBR62 enough to buy it twice but the tweeter was just too gritty after awhile. I have the UBR62 now but havn't cared enough to give them an honest try but I need to in order to do my Heco Celan review.

    • @seanb3303
      @seanb3303 Год назад +1

      @@NemoPropaganda haven’t heard UBR62 but they need to be on short stands to sound right according to andrew Jones. The original UB5 has a lot of clarity and resolution in mids and bass…but has a sweeter treble so not fatiguing. It will expose cheap amps. I use the UB5 slim for background listening with a Schiit Galhorn amp…and it’s a perfect setup for that purpose.

    Honestly, I don't understand all the audiophile jargon mumbo-jumbo. I bet first time speaker buyers won't too. Can you make a video explaining what these mean?
    Fuller
    Thinner
    Forward
    Recessed
    Brighter
    Warmer
    Cooler
    And any other jargon that youtube audio reviewers say all the time.

    Nemo, i want to either buy the Klipsch R50PM or Klipsch R40PM, i want them to be powered, due to lack of dac knowledge and cleaner setup, to be used as PC speakers and or for TV setup, but overall small space. My question is: are the R-50PM worhty of the extra 100$ of the R-40PM? Factoring in that i wont be needing highest volume rather just pure sound quality.

    • @NemoPropaganda
      @NemoPropaganda  5 месяцев назад +1

      I never heard the powered versions, the bigger speaker should have a fuller sound but if that's not a concern and space is limited why not get the mini RSL iA255.1 amp, RSL CG3M speakers, and an HDMI ARC extractor off amazon, all together that should cost $350 and that would be an awesome TV setup that can accept HDMI, Optical, or Analog inputs. You can even hide the amp behind your media console if you want to, it's so small!! But if you want powered speakers I'd suggest the vanatoo transperent zero +, I have them in for review now and they're pretty good!
