One thing I love is that people subject you to Opeth.
Deliverence is the one Opeth song I never understood the Hype for but pretty much all the others I needed a lot of listens to truly appreciate, I mean like 5-10 listens per song and then you´re stuck. Since a year back I´ve exclusively listened to Opeth. I just can´t find the same joy in other metal bands anymore including No Obliviscaris, mainly because of the vocals and that they do not allow the music to breathe, Opeth is in it´s own category imo and Mikael is such a true genius when it comes to composing, singing and guitar playing.
Hopefully doing this channel will open you up to other types of music. I understand, I had your attitude towards music myself many years ago.
It did. There are so many music Genres and Bands I never heard before and now I'm completely into it. Even some K-pop groups but I guess Opeth still need a little bit more time
1st subpar/ negative reaction to this particular song. Interesting….. with respect.
I think being honest is what a reaction should be about. For me it wouldn't make any sense to just like every song I react to just to be cool with the fanbase.
@@MarvinHeartless Appreciate the honesty and expressing your reasoning! 🤘🏾
they make long songs seem short
I have that feeling more in Ne Obliviscaris 😅
Try Serenity Painted Death.
On my list 🤘🏻
@@MarvinHeartless also, regarding your comment that all the Opeth songs sound the same, you have to realize that their sound changed as they got older. They started off as black metal, then transformed into heavy prog metal, then got softer in the most recent years... evolving into prog rock.
All the suggestions you've been reacting to are from everyone's favorite eta, being heavy prog metal. If you go backwards or forwards in their discography you'll hear their varying sounds other than just oscillating between heavy and acoustic.
