You must hear the entire 'Alive or Just Barely Breathing' if you like Jesse Leech more. That album is regarded as the best KSE album along with Jesse on vocals. If you react to that whole album here, you will make many of us Killswitch Engage fans very happy. The first time I heard them was in 2005 and I instantly fell in love with them. Whatever you do, don't listen to any live performances with Jesse Leech, because it's rough. Nowhere near as good as Howard is live. I like Jesse's studio vocals, while I like Howard's live vocals. If this band was really smart, they would add Howard back to the band for a record and tour cycle. Having both of these legendary singers together would be next level. it's a crime against Humanity to not have both singers together.

You need to listen to them live. Also you need to check out their first 5 albums. These two songs aren’t in their top ten.

This is their rockish era. To be honest I didn't really like this song. I didn't listen to all of their music, but Gingamingayo is by my favorite from them. It's a pure fun song. It's more kpop, but definitely more fun. And I agree. They are trying too hard. It just felt that they decided that they are going to do this, and they did. But it's missing the soul of the music. It's just another era. It's just a new template for them, not something they care about.

this guy ruined my mental health, I used to chat with him all the time and he is VERY much alive. He faked his death and left me in this situation where I didn’t eat for a week thinking he was actually dead. He had me attached to him mentally and he would purposely do things to hurt me like block me one day then unblock me the next .. he was strange. I remember how bad my chest hurt when I found out he “passed” in 2021. I didn’t eat for a week. Until he supposedly “recovered” and came back alive ig. He’s crappy. And I have no idea where he is now and I don’t care to know. He ruined me. More than I already was.

If you want to try something else about Muse, you can try Stockholm Syndrome by Erra, this is a Muse cover. One of the most "metalish" Muse's song. Erra made a pretty good job with this one.

I think maybe you should react to the remix (Emocore Mix), although I'm surprised you found this to be a softer song 😛 but I guess it is compared to your usual taste. But I will say it's the type of song that definitely grows on you after a few listens (especially the remix blasting full volume), the chorus gets quite catchy! 😋

You have nothing to apologize for, sometimes you just don't like someone's voice! It happens! I used to feel the same way about the singer (Matt Bellamy), but loved the musicality of it so much that his voice eventually grew on me. It also helped that I found "unreleased but official" instrumental versions of their albums, so I could hear without vocals. It also left a void, that made me appreciate the vocals more as an instrument.

TXT is known, to paraphrase Billboard, as the storytellers of KPop, so you are actually in the right direction! I like that you can grasp the general concept of the lore of TXT on this reaction to MV, and yeah, again, you are going in the right direction! Frost is technically considered as hyperpop, and is cowritten by Ashnikko. One of the reasons why most recommended the Performance MV of Frost (it was actually released on Halloween period haha) is becos it features the whole song rather than the snippets you get here for this lore MV. I have a feeling that you are leaning towards heavier stuff, so I would suggest you also try Growing Pains by TXT (as a metalhead myself, I like Growing Pains a lot!) Okay so you say your problem with Muse is the vocalist sounds like a typical pop singer. I say to you watch the live video of "Micro cuts" thats on YT or maybe if you want to go modern Muse "kill or be killed" and then tell me after listening to those he has a "pop" voice. They transcend genres. They started as a punk band. Went into rock and rock opera then showed how good grundge could be if it was done well. dabbled a little with pop (which I hated but it helped them become more mainstream I guess) then went electronic with some damn fine EDM and more recently back to more hard rock. There are probably more genres which I'm forgetting they have done. The point is they have all the skills and can turn their hands to anything.
