You have nothing to apologize for, sometimes you just don't like someone's voice! It happens! I used to feel the same way about the singer (Matt Bellamy), but loved the musicality of it so much that his voice eventually grew on me. It also helped that I found "unreleased but official" instrumental versions of their albums, so I could hear without vocals. It also left a void, that made me appreciate the vocals more as an instrument.
If you want to try something else about Muse, you can try Stockholm Syndrome by Erra, this is a Muse cover. One of the most "metalish" Muse's song. Erra made a pretty good job with this one.
Okay so you say your problem with Muse is the vocalist sounds like a typical pop singer. I say to you watch the live video of "Micro cuts" thats on YT or maybe if you want to go modern Muse "kill or be killed" and then tell me after listening to those he has a "pop" voice. They transcend genres. They started as a punk band. Went into rock and rock opera then showed how good grundge could be if it was done well. dabbled a little with pop (which I hated but it helped them become more mainstream I guess) then went electronic with some damn fine EDM and more recently back to more hard rock. There are probably more genres which I'm forgetting they have done. The point is they have all the skills and can turn their hands to anything.
The last time I reacted to a live Version of Kill or be Killed and I had the same feeling. Maybe I need to check out the MV. I will also listen to Micro Cuts maybe it will change my mind
@@MarvinHeartless He does have quite a pop singer voice, it's actually something he was VERY insecure about when he was younger. He actually didn't even want to be the bands singer. He felt his voice was too soft and high for the type of a bit of prog/alt/metal type of rock they went for at first. But he leaned into it after becoming a huge fan of Jeff Buckley and did wonders with it anyway. His voice really hits the note with songs like Surpremacy and Dead Inside, or their more "cinematic/epic type of music like Take a Bow and Algorithm. Citizen Erazed is one of the absolutely best rock songs ever made, and it's prefectly suited to his voice. So if anything, listen to that! It's a masterpiece of music.

You need to listen to them live. Also you need to check out their first 5 albums. These two songs aren’t in their top ten.
Sorry to say this is the shit muse. Nothing like the talent the great music they put out before.
