This recording is why I'd happily swap all of my studio recordings for one live performance where Bruce absolutely nails it. Not just the words of the song, or the music, but the way he can make you believe that he is not singing a song but talking from his soul. When I first went to live concerts, there were the bootleggers recording and people trying to take photographs - until they were spotted by security and had their equipment taken away and then thrown out. It has amazed me what can be done by putting together recordings and sound. Thanks for all the hard work of those involved.
In a concert that lasts 3 and a half hours, with such an extensive repertoire and with lyrics that are different from the beginning to the end of the song, it is normal for there to be flaws, and there are very few of them. If it were anyone else, it would be much worse.

Bruce's talent in taking a song and make it sound like he wrote it himself by putting all his heart in soul in it and yet respecting the spirit of the original is amazing! Just love it!
The last three songs he performed were amazing, I know Boom boom boom and of course Blinded by the light, but the other song I’ve never heard before and it was fantastic, I don’t know the name of it.

Bruce was not happy with the band butchering the song but they still managed to salvage it. That is so not the tempo, groove, or progression of the song but it somehow came across. His anger is palpable when it ends and he asks for just piano. Even Jake misfires on the solo. Sometimes the greatest bands go awry. Great, great song, though and that intro was reminiscent of early Bruce.
I think the band "butchering the song" was just what this version needed to be one of the best versions of all time!! It had to be out of normal to be the best ever!! 16 minutes that we've repeated thousands of times!! Could it have been better with a "perfect version"? No!
Why would you want to skip the introduction??? It's Bruce doing something he used to do at every show but, over the years, has done less and less, and that is rapping between the songs. It's more than an introduction to the song - just listen to the rap before War on the Live CD - where in his inarticulate, articulate way not only makes sense but says something profound. As in this example, when he talks about what is the loneliest day of the year...
I love Bruce for over a decade, why does he still need to look at teleprompters...Shouldn't he no the words by now...Elvis never did, just sang the beautifully ..
Elvis literally held the lyric sheet for songs he didn’t know what are you talking about (Elvis also didn’t play nearly as many different songs night to night as Bruce does)
No where even close, don't see Trump filling out a pair of jeans the way the Boss can,even at 68 here...still gorgeous nice arms,sexy little grins and that little twinkle in his eyes, amazing the sex appeal that just oozes from him .... He's still on 🔥 FIRE 🔥
