Breathed "wow" aloud at some point. The realism created with these shadow shapes and temperatures is something else. Thank you for sharing and narrating your process and choices, from someone who's learning more watercolor control. Artists like you doing that work really help me with training that "eye" for those elements.
You: took me two hours to paint. Me: two days and annoyed with my painting! truly caught my attention on this one! Lovely painting! Lovely daughter, thanks for the demo!
Watching people paint shadows is like watching a magic trick. I'm staring hard the whole time, and I still can't figure out how you did it by the end. 😂❤
That painting will be your daughters keepsake for years to come, what a treasure, you did really well on that Painting Emily, i enjoyed watching you doing that , you are inspiring me to get back into it, one of this days, Stay safe, Regards from Texas
EMILY OLSON ART Truly...it reminds me of James Guthrie’s masterpiece work. “To Pastures New”.... especially the little girl in the scene tending the geese, it is from 1883, he was only 23 when he did the oil painting. I’m sure you can tackle oils as well as watercolors...but from a fellow artist, watercolors are more difficult and more beautiful. Thanks Emily! We love watching your mastery of watercolor grow and grow!
Watching the development of the ocean and her flesh tones was delightful. I was able to learn so much. Thank you for sharing your painting, talents and sweet personality with us.
Absolutely stunning, I'm starting to think there is no subject you can't paint spectacularly! I'm always surprised at how complete your work looks for just a couple hours of work :D
Two hours!?! It’s so lovely. I have beach week with grandkids next month. This has given me a great idea of reference photos to take, in hopes of achieving a result like this one. Thanks for sharing.
This was a great tutorial, I tried to follow along and some techniques and the way of your process will be on my mind for my next painting, thank you. Such a beautiful memory you painted 😊🙏❤
Truly look forward to each of your videos as I always learn so much by watching and listening. And Ur work is just truly beautiful! Thank u also for listing all the used complete materials. Definitely going to pick up a couple of the Richeson squirrel brushes after clicking the link and reading more about them.
Emily, I received an email from you today about painting beach scene. Which I had already seen this lovely painting with your beautiful daughter in it! And just in time! I’m going to Florida within the next couple of weeks! Can’t wait for a change of scenery even if I can’t get out and about there either. I can sit outside and paint! Or on the boat and paint! Anywhere besides here! I’m stir crazy and on top of everything I’ve been really sick. Tested neg for covid. So now who knows? This lesson did come just at the right time! Thank you for sharing! I’m going to get signed up as soon as I get back from our trip to your site! I keep saying that but honestly I’ve felt so bad I haven’t been up to doing much.
EMILY OLSON ART for sure!!! Love it! I was a little worried at first about the skin coloring but it turned out beautiful! That’s why I need you classes! Lol
Thank you so much for this demo! Water and dogs are what inspire me to paint, and your work on both subjects gives me motivation to keep practicing. This water is breathtaking!
I’m always amazed at how much color you put down, like on her face, as I’m a bit fearful of doing that, thinking I have to do multiple layers. But it just somehow magically balances out before my eyes. Beautiful!
Once signing up for your courses does it go from day you signed up or from beginning of month? Is it autopay monthly so I don't have to physically go in to pay? Tfs
Hi there and thanks so much for asking about my courses! You can find information about billing, etc on my FAQ page here: emilyolsonart.com/frequently-asked-questions/
