Hi Debbie - this was the first time I ever got to hear and see Angelina Jordan, purely by chance at the Quincy Jones concert at the O2 in London. There were lots of famous artists that I had gone to see. Debbie, when you watch this again you'll notice that members of the band and all the other people sitting and walking around associated with the rehearsal are in disbelief to what they are hearing and members of the band actually are applauding her at the end of the song. And she remained as cool as a cucumber throughout.
This video with her holding her own, and then some, with some of the finest musicians in the world is more evidence that there really is something special going on here. Ihe
Thanks for another great reaction Debbie, you can see why she got named the Queen of jazz, when she sings jazz it highlights her voice and how so effortlessly beautiful it is this is one of my favourites by her another that i love is her singing "I'm a fool to want you" Billie Holiday her special inspiration at 11yrs old in a studio booth Granma Mery filming. One of my favourite vocals by anyone ever. Maybe one of the Angels will give you the right link💗 And by the way i have elevated her to the Goddess of jazz since her 16yrs "My funny valentine" just Sublime.
The audio is actually recorded from the London O2 Arena Concert for Quincy Jones. Someone has just mashed the real concert audio together with the rehearsal video. But this doesn't take anything away from her very beautiful singing. The audio recording is of course of very high quality because it was made professionally in the actual concert.
Hello! Nice reaction 🙂 As far as figuring out Angelina's age goes, it is REALLY easy, as her birthday is January 10th, 2006. The 10th day of the year means that there is only a 9 day chance of getting her age wrong as long as you know the year of the recording. 2018 minus 2006 equals 12, so she was 12 years old here. HAD the recording been from the first 9 days of 2018, she would still have been 11. Really easy to find her age in years. I just thought I'd let you know, now that you have been reacting so much to her. Btw, I loved the Wrapped In A Warm Blanket podcast. You did good🔥 Have a great week ahead! Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
What an immensely awesome vibe...She sounds right at home, riding the sound of a FULL orchestra!! Our Angel is living her dream come true, And lucky US are along for each time she sings!! PEACE!!🎙️👏🏻🔥🔥🤯🤯💥💥🤗🤗👏🏻🎉🎉🔥🔥❤️
Debbie this is by far My favorite rendition of this song of all that she does over the years. Accompanied by the full orchestra in the style of Frank Sinatra, it doesn't get any better as you indicated! I don't know if you were going to go back to chronological order or whether you are skipping around now. In more current years There are a couple of recommendations on my part. Heal the World, Michael Jackson, age 15 Suspicious Minds, Elvis, age 16 Easy on me, Adele, age 15 Original songs.... A million miles, age 14, studio or music video 7th Heaven, age 15, studio or music video
This is my all time favorite performance by her. So far as I can tell, it is perfection! Blend her vocals with this excellent orchestra, and it couldn’t be any better. She is honoring Quincy on his birthday, so she is singing to his arrangement he did for this song for Frank Sinatra. The arrangement and orchestra is perfection also. There is another video her grandma or mom did backstage at the actual performance where you can get a glimpse of her gown and hair and bare feet as she goes onstage. Be sure to watch that also! There’s also another video of her auditioning for Quincy backstage, and they formed an instant bond and friendship after that. He insisted that she sing for this event even though there wasn’t even time to list her on the Program. He also gave her first place as the opening number! He’s been quoted as saying that she is the greatest singer since Michael Jackson.
Angelina was personally invited by legendary producer Quincy Jones to perform at his 85th birthday celebration. Pretty incredible for a 12 year old. I don’t think she was even on the original list of performers. The orchestral arrangement is the same that Jones wrote for Frank Sinatra. Quincy Jones said that Angelina was the best young singer he had met since Michael Jackson. He produced some of Michael’s albums.
You can’t beat Frank Sinatra with Count Basie and his orchestra, arranged by Quincy Jones himself, sorry, but that is the Standard by which all others will be judged! Is this a phenomenal rendition? Yes, absolutely, but even Angelina did better herself in a summer concert with her own more jazzy arrangement that fit her more and at her tempo.
You capture so well my continuing amazement when I first heard so many of AJ's songs. The other amazing thing is hearing different versions of the same song as Angelina grew and honed her vocal skills over the years; or the same song days apart as she responds to the moment spontaneously.
One of AJ's top performances for sure! Anither great live performance is her "Cry Me A River" at age 11. The best rendition of that song ever: ruclips.net/video/Zr4INP8yhB0/видео.html
Hello, Debbie. My understanding is this is Quincy Jones' arrangement of the song and Angelina Jordan was invited by Quincy to perform at his birthday party in London. It is good to see you happy and grooving. I, for one, am never bothered when you replay the song. Yes, I'm left with a happy heart. Thank you for your animated reaction, Debbie. Grandma Ellen, out.
I saw you on Alan's podcast. You were wonderful. I've never watched a whole episode of "Wrapped in a warm blanket", although I've seen several of them. I watched every second of your's Debbie.
LOL! Loved your comment, Debbie: "If that doesn't fill up your happy tank inside of you I don't know what's going to, 'cause that just makes you happy. It just made me filled up with joy, just absolutely filled up." You nailed it again! It's a joy listening to the miracle that is Angelina Jordan, and to your reactions of her. A double joy!! Thank you!
Really enjoyed your reaction to AJ, and I really enjoyed your appearance on the podcast. Very entertaining, I think I smiled and laughed for the whole hour!
Deb you are proof Angelina has millions of fans caught in the rabbit hole. I’m never leaving. I just live for the comments. And fans love you so much they should all tell you so, as they continue to share with you all they understand and know about our Angelina. 😊
Love her. The girl with a thousand voices!Quincy became a mentor for another young musician. A composer named Emily Bear. She's on my list to send you but I wanted to wait until you do Alma Deutscher first. Emily is the youngest published composer in history. Her first piano piece was published in a quarterly magazine that does tear out sheet music for pianist when she was 4 year's old. The publisher was astonished whe he found out her age after he decided to publish her piece.
I will survive - Diamonds are for ever - bohemian rapsodhy - above the water - - you say - and more and more !!!!!! cameleon voice !!! The best ! the beast ! THe best female singer i had ever heard !!!
@TQQ: Thanks for your reaction. I see Angelina as a sort of "vocal empath." Through her early years, she experimented with all sorts of sounds and techniques, covering songs by making them her own yet still keeping the essence of the originals. Try this ("Cry Me a River" - on stage at age 11): ruclips.net/video/ViNgjfrc1dQ/видео.html
"That doesn't even sound real!" I often have the same reaction when I listen to Angelina, Debbie. She sounds so good that you think it has to be some sort of AI generated trick, or something like that. Now that you've heard her sing "Crazy" at age 16, you have a glimpse of what's to come, but there's really no way to prepare yourself for what you're going to hear from her. One last thing--it's very hard to wait four days between your Angelina reactions!

I believe AJ could teach master level singing when she was 10. By this age, each song is a masterpiece. What she does with the vocal palette reminds me of Picasso, each was a master of many styles and has unparalled creativity.
This one was great. She really is an old soul. My Dad used to listen to Frank, Dino and Sammy all the time and I grew to love that kind of music and this young lady knocked it out of the park. Dad would have loved it. I Thank you for another great reaction video. ❤❤❤
Angelina is the only young vocalist that I know of whom has been singing with full orchestras and live bands since she was seven years old. Seasoned professional vocalists and voice coaches have said that the average listener has no idea how difficult it is to sing with a live band or orchestra. Like most professionals do, Angelina makes singing in front of orchestras and bands look easy.
This was so fkn great. What a genius she is. I'm SOOOOO jealous of those people that get to hang around with her in the studio. 😠 Thanks lovely Debbie 👍😘
It WAS just a rehearsal.... It's UNBELIEVABLE what she can do with her voice at such a young age, somebody pinch me 😂. I saw your addition to Wrapped up in a Warm Blanket podcast and was thrilled for you. It was well done and I am glad you were able to see a glimpse of young, adultish even though she a teenager, 😅 Angelina's matured voice. It's gonna take your breath away and I can't wait to watch your reactions. I have to keep reminding myself that she is an ARTIST. A blank canvas for us to see what she is going to paint with her music. I love Angelina so much that her music is my therapy for the day. I FEEL soooooo much warmth and joy inside when I hear her music. She makes me smile. Peace,Love, Namaste
Angelina Jordan is getting better and better but I believe when she was 12 years old the low register voice was her best, but she stiil blowing my mind every time I listen to her and now in 2023 AMAZING.
Debbie, love your reaction to Angelina singing her signature song, "Fly Me To The Moon," Quincy Jones's arrangement, and his Orchestra! Quincy selected Angelina to open his 85th birthday concert and also compared her talent to Michael Jackson! This rehearsal of "Fly Me To The Moon" is my favorite along with the concert performance !!!
Don't forget Debbie, as insanely talented as Angelina is, there is another 17 yr old with incredible talent also? Only saw her for the first time this week when you reacted to her AGT performance. Her name is Putri Ariani from Indonesia who won Indonesia's Got Talent at 8 yrs old. A different sound than Angelina but just as captivating. Singer, songwriter and pianist - Thank God we get to experience them and it proves no matter the geography, culture or language, music is the uniting theme for humanity ❤❤ from Australia
she's so good she doesn't need any tech help so no auto-tune so since i've been following her and listening to all the covers and originals there has never been a recording that has been sanitized it's always her raw voice
Debbie this must be the umpteenth time I have listened to this. And it's still great.how many 12 year Olds sing in front of a orchestra. Or for that fact Quincy Jones .just great,
Sure, I can believe it! Because Quincy Jones himself asked Angelina to perform this song to open his 85th birthday celebration at O2 Arena in London, and the audience didn’t know she was on the program or who she was, but she brought down the house. Yes, I’m sure others have told you in their comments, Quincy Jones arranged this song for Frank Sinatra and he performed it with Count Basie and his orchestra, so to get Quincy Jones’ attention, especially for this song, he thought a lot about her potential, and he said so, no one since Michael Jackson, that’s saying a lot!
I think of this song as being a mobster back in the 1930s and cruising around in my brand new 1930 Model A Ford and listening to this song on the radio on my way to snuff an imposter.
Here is a few for you to listen to that i think you would like her cover versions of the songs below Stay by Rhianna Welcome to my world Elvis Presley Autumn leaves by matt munro She has an amazing voice i love your reactions to her videos Keep up the good work love watching you and Angelina jordan ❤
You can thank 'pa1189j' for editing that shaky video camera audio out and substituting the high-quality radio broadcast audio (from the actual Angelina Jordan performance) in its place so that we could at least have those two together instead of with bad sound since there does not seem to be a professional quality video of either this rehearsal or the event itself available at this time. There is a poor-quality video of Miss Jordan's sing taken from the audience, far to the rear of the venue, which is London's 'O2 Arena'. If you are monitoring your 'Comments' you'll be able to read that 'pa1189j', himself, has responded to you here with a short explanation from himself. I believe it was Miss Jordan's Mother taking the shaky video from the balcony at the rehearsal. In another video, the original 'bad' one with the poor audio intact, there is more preliminary activity shown with the Jordan family, but not Mom, seen near the wall along the right, Granny taking separate video of her own. Having said all of the above, one of the most magical videos of any video I've ever seen EVER, is the one that I can hardly see at all, of THIS event, the Quincy Jones 85th Birthday, but taken, almost completely in the DARK, so one can struggle at many points to view with understanding and will have to review it at least 7 to 10 times (adjusting the exact angle of your flatscreen for best image visibility) to build a greater realization of what's happening. The scenario is that Miss Jordan is the subject of this 'backstage' video. The camera is pointed at her back as she carefully ascends a short stairway, lit with a string of LEDs, to the 'Performance Level' of the stage, prepared to perform, dressed in a full-length, white gown and piled-high 'Amy Winehouse' hair with a large flower in it, awaiting her que from the Stage Manager, who is standing at her side with a clipboard in his hand. This location, as mentioned above, is London's 'O2 Arena' and there may be more than 10 thousand people in front of her when she is summoned to sing the opening performance, 'Fly Me To The Moon'. I believe you mentioned she is 12 years old. Oh, the anticipation she MUST be feeling, if she is human, but, there is doubt, such is her renown rock-solid stage presence. The camera approaches the area of her stance but from the lower level in order to record activity on the stage. There, Quincy Jones is being interviewed and the subject turns to 'Frank Sinatra'. At one point, Quincy offers an enormous sneeze and everyone laughs. Eventually, the conversation turns to songs arranged by Jones for Frank Sinatra and Miss Jordan receives her direction to the microphone, passing Quincy, seated in an easy chair, along the way, performing magnificently, as you already know from the 'rehearsal audio', but, with the one visual alteration that, finishing singing of the final word, 'You', she gestures grandly at Mr. Jones with her full right arm and hand, a very sweet and cogent acknowledgement. She receives abundant applause. Of course, being taken from low and backstage, virtually none of the up-front performance of Miss Jordan can be seen in this video. At one point, during her sing, the lower legs and shoes of a female intrude upon the video and it is repositioned. Those are the legs of Ms Caro Emerald, a European jazz singer who is next to perform. On her way backstage from her own performance, Miss Jordan stops to exchange a few words with smiling Mr. Jones and then she returns back towards the camera, passing Ms Emerald along the way, then descending the stairs to be greeted by her Mom and Granny. Finally, having, once again, said all of the above, there is a second video of this backstage area and the overall venue, but shown in normal light, although it is very short in length. This is available at Miss Jordan's Instagram (AngelinaJordana) page. Near the top, there are several smaller-circle 'photo hot spots', one with the name 'Quincy Jones' below it. Selecting that one will bring a video showing the backstage area, Miss Jordan in her gown but just for a sec, those stairs, the venue itself, and a few of the closing scenes, one with Miss Jordan near Mr Jones for the Finale'. Whew! The URL... ruclips.net/video/2VbPlOkadqY/видео.html
Here is clarification on this video - The video part is from the rehearsal - but when Angelina starts singing the audio is actually taken from her actual Quincy Jones Concert performance. However, it shows how good Angelina's voice was in the concert performance as she was 12 years old and was the opening performer for the Quincy Jones Birthday Celebration - she was personally asked to perform by Quincy Jones.

Ihe
One can never understand what is Divine ❤
Thanks for another great reaction Debbie, you can see why she got named the Queen of jazz, when she sings jazz it highlights her voice and how so effortlessly beautiful it is this is one of my favourites by her another that i love is her singing "I'm a fool to want you" Billie Holiday her special inspiration at 11yrs old in a studio booth Granma Mery filming. One of my favourite vocals by anyone ever. Maybe one of the Angels will give you the right link💗
And by the way i have elevated her to the Goddess of jazz since her 16yrs "My funny valentine" just Sublime.
Fully agree to: "I'm a fool to want you" at 11yrs old in a studio booth
@@peterjohansson587 thirded ! Absolute masterpiece
Excellent, thanks for that computational method. I usually go the other way (current age minus, date of performance) but your system is much better.
Nice chair dancing😂
Heal the World, Michael Jackson, age 15
Suspicious Minds, Elvis, age 16
Easy on me, Adele, age 15
Original songs....
A million miles, age 14, studio or music video
7th Heaven, age 15, studio or music video
To make your maths simple she was born January 10th 2006. This is the rehearsal vision with the concert sound.
Dancing Debbie what a great performance from AJ with massive orchestra sounding amazing there are no limits to her talent ❤
Angelina singing is medicine for what ever troubles you.
I tried to make it clear in the video title and description about the sound on this. Perhaps I should slap a great big caption over the whole thing. 😉
Listening to Angelina is my daily therapy.
I like your reactions ❤❤❤❤❤
Frank Sinatra step aside, Angelina Jordan owns this song now.
@@nfpnone8248 Each to his own, but I agree with Debbie, to my ears this was the purest rendition of this song ever.
@@leechap3 if art does not inspire a full spectrum of reactions and emotions, it isn’t art, which means your comment of “to each his own” is moot!
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Angelina Jordan 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
You capture so well my continuing amazement when I first heard so many of AJ's songs. The other amazing thing is hearing different versions of the same song as Angelina grew and honed her vocal skills over the years; or the same song days apart as she responds to the moment spontaneously.
This sound may come to World after 1000000 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait .. wait .. wait .. I just saw a baby cat . .and your hair looks great! :)
Smooth, rich, and fabulous!
This is one of my favorite videos of Angelina. Crank it up and close your eyes; it is absolutely perfect… and she doesn’t even have to try. ❤️🦶🏻👸🏻
One of AJ's top performances for sure! Anither great live performance is her "Cry Me A River" at age 11. The best rendition of that song ever:

Look at the conductor and the Band. Angelina entered the mic in one Take 😮 nothing to correct and all are clapping 👏 Angelina is always perfect
It breaks my heart that Debbie isnt on here anymore. I LOVED her Angelina reactions. 😪
Deb you are proof Angelina has millions of fans caught in the rabbit hole. I’m never leaving. I just live for the comments. And fans love you so much they should all tell you so, as they continue to share with you all they understand and know about our Angelina. 😊
You are so adorable to watch Miss Debbie. At this point Angelina is a professional working with the best of the best.
Hypnotic voice thanks Debbie for the teaction
Tiny Kitty!!!!! And an Angelina reaction to a phenomenal performance. Adorable, all of it, and your reaction 😋
Oi! Big kitty too! You don't have to cat sit, big kitty will.
You need to sneak ahead to “Love don’t let me go “. Pre album release May 5th. Original song. So so incredibly beautiful.
Hi Debbie my beautiful emotional great Lady 🥰Yes this version the Our Angel 😇 Angelina from Frank Sinatras version singt is the best version for me too!!
Thanks lovely Debbie 👍😘
As I understand it, the setting is the rehearsal, but the actual soundtrack is that recorded st the concert.
I just love your reactions to Angelina, it's priceless.
Great reaction 😊❤. Love your dancing 😅 and I agree with you, it's one of the best versions I have heard too 😊
The best.
Angelina’s rehearsals sound better than most people’s performances.
Preach!!!
Quincy Jones has said that not since Michael Jackson has he been as
impressed with anyone prior to his experiencing her.
Ciao 🫅 tu fai allegria e sei bellissima 🌹
Don't miss out on her 10-11 yrs old music, some of her best work!
Or for that fact Quincy Jones .just great,
The whole band was flawless.
Debbie !!!!
The kitten though !!! 🥰🥰🥰
This is a great reaction. I agree with your assessment of AJ's performance here. It is one of my favorites from her.
fantastic beautiful. awesome. she is so underrated. but her followers love her
😎💙💙💙💙👍
The first time I heard her I was like wow did God ever bless her she's so talented
I listen to AJ 3 hrs or longer everyday 💜 I do love this version of Fly me to the moon 💜
Sure, I can believe it! Because Quincy Jones himself asked Angelina to perform this song to open his 85th birthday celebration at O2 Arena in London, and the audience didn’t know she was on the program or who she was, but she brought down the house. Yes, I’m sure others have told you in their comments,
Quincy Jones arranged this song for Frank Sinatra and he performed it with Count Basie and his orchestra, so to get Quincy Jones’ attention, especially for this song, he thought a lot about her potential, and he said so, no one since Michael Jackson, that’s saying a lot!
Happy tank full, Thank you!😀
I think of this song as being a mobster back in the 1930s and cruising around in my brand new 1930 Model A Ford and listening to this song on the radio on my way to snuff an imposter.
Angelina and kittens, what more could you ask for?
Love this ❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️
Great reaction as always thank you 😃 wild bill
Here is a few for you to listen to that i think you would like her cover versions of the songs below
Stay by Rhianna
Welcome to my world Elvis Presley
Autumn leaves by matt munro
She has an amazing voice i love your reactions to her videos
Keep up the good work love watching you and Angelina jordan ❤
Whew! The URL...

The one and only AJ !!!
Easy, just switch your brain to 'standby'', and allow our angel to touch your emotions, your soul. You know, that place, from which you just watch your brain, like a white cloud in the sky floating by.
😀😀😀😀😀
Debbie, there are so many performances I'm anxious for you to hear. Wait till you hear her do THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE at around ten, eleven or so. It's proof there is a god and Angelina was blessed. You can't learn and can't teach what she can do.
She was there to sing for Quincy Jones birthday in the 02 arena
Her mom was in the balcony vedioing this audition.
starving for more angelina
Getting closer to bohemian rhapsody at 13yrs old 🙊
Agnelina was 12 years old in this performance.
Way to go Debbie....I see you have gotten a little off track since the "Wrapped in a Warm Blanket" podcast....perfectly ok....hard not to venture out into the wonderful world of Angelina. Love this one and love the reaction. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I know that some believe we should not say this: Best Female vocalist in my opinion!! What I believe and heard them all though big shout out to Lara Fabian.
