She just whispered "Thank you", into the mic, turned around and made her exit. That girl behind her was next and all she was thinking was, "Do I have to follow that!?" Besides her fantastic voice and knowledge of music in general (at 7 and 8 years old!!!) she is highly intelligent. She has the ability to focus on something and when she does that with her music we can expect to hear perfection. As I told you previously she's already in your heart and she will never leave you. Just looking at her warms you up and then after one note you're locked in and she has all your attention. And, how about us? A lot of us follow as many as 50 reactors and we hear all her songs many, many times and we never tire of them. In fact, if a reactor starts to tear up naturally we start to tear up with them. I am so happy for the millions of people who will be coming aboard in the next few months. And Angelina will never change. She will remain humble and continue to be a Messenger of Love for all those who will listen to her. She's introducing you to music you've never heard before and also to the new 'angels' coming aboard. And now she is ready to hit us with originals galore with the sound of the 50's, 60's, etc., providing the melody. You only have a couple of more before you pass by "I Put A Spell On You' and you'll get to when she was 10. Her voice matured enormously at 10 and some of her recording are beyond great. They are very special and you'll find yourself just nodding your head back and forth. "Wow," becomes the one word which says it all.
Don't worry about laughter - several experienced vocal coaches can't stop laughing, just from shock. They even apologise for doing so!
The only singer I have ever listened to that each time you listen to a song it gets better each time you here you hear her sing it. The first time your mind shuts down in shock. After that each time you hear it again, you start to realize the master piece you have just listened to. This rendition, at age 7, is on par with what any adult (in my opinion... better) could have done. Mind blowing.
Any adults do this song better? No, but I do know of a ten year old who performed it better, in fact produced a musical masterpiece for the ages: Angelina Jordan on the "It's Magic" album. 🥰
If you take the soundtrack to this song and overlay it to her voice track, they fit PERFECTLY, her timing, pauses, inflections are absolutely spot on, zero mistakes. She touches everyones ❤️.

She heals people with her voice and character. She was made Norway's National Treasure by the Government and the Royal Family. In a way, I'm perhaps the most impressed by this performance of all of Angelina's performances. Considering that she is seven years old and that she sings a cappella flawlessly without missing a single note is absolutely incredible!

Way back when, I wondered if Angelina would lose some of that quality for me as she grew out of her adorable early years. Well, that was silly of me; she never lost a bit of it. Angelina did a studio version of this for her first album at age 12. It is phenomenal. I won't bother with a link because I see you are following her chronologically.
She’s channeling Billie Holiday here, but I don’t think even Billie sang this a cappella. Even at this age, Angelina delivers the emotion in the lyrics so beautifully-and that ability to interpret lyrics has always been one of her greatest strengths.
I’ve followed her for about five years. One of her most incredible performances is her acoustic cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago. You mentioned the music was too loud in her earlier song. With just a guitar accompanying her on this beautiful Adele song, we get that voice full throttle-and it is stunning. Just to clarify/amplify: the video Keno0355 is pointing you to is the full version of this same performance. (Some people are linking to other performances of the same song.) For TV, they cut out the entire 50-second "bridge" of the song (the edit happens as they cut to a shot of the female judge, just before Angelina sings, "Pity me, I need you" - which sounds kind of like "Beat me, I need you"). The full version was posted to the TV channel's website.
Since so many singers passed their audition on Norway's Got Talent, they had to have this Judge's Cut round to determine who would go on to the semi-finals. Each singer was required to perform a cappella unless they also played an instrument. Only the judges were present for this round. I still get goosebumps every time I listen to this remarkable performance. Angelina had just turned 8 years old. Angelia's voice alone is a complete orchestral sound, she needs nothing but her God bestowed angelic vocal magic. This is really impressive stuff. No instrumental support here, only Angelina in front of the judges and the other contesters behind her. You could hear a pin drop in that room.... And she nailed it probably better as almost anyone else, no matter what age, would do in those circumstances. And yes, Angelina sounds different now in compare with 10 years ago: her voice really has no limits... And the female voice usually is fully developed around the age of 25, so Angelina has another 7-8 years to go before she is at that point.

Thank you for the background information, although you don't owe it to us. I myself suffer from congestive heart failure, although I do just fine for the most part. There are many, many more overwhelming performances yet to come on your journey, and I look forward to all of your reactions to this wonderful person and artist! You might want to have a box of tissues handy for some of them, too; just a heads up! The one performance guaranteed to make me ugly face cry is her live performance from a concert last summer, June 10th, 2022 at the Kurbadhagen concert in Norway where she sings her original song "Million Miles" which she wrote about the passing of her grandfather. There's a note she hits that just sends me over the edge, even if I've been holding it together pretty well up till then. I think it's safe to say you are my new favorite Angelina reactor! I guarantee she will make you cry, more than once. There are a handful of songs that she sings so beautifully, or that she powers through while sick (because the performance was for a charity and she refused to cancel despite the doctor telling her she shouldn't sing). Those performances just grab my heart and squeeze the emotions out. I'm ready for more.

No talking on this round. The judges just make notes. You need Angelina Jordan. You need this journey to explore her incredible voice, and development. This seems to be the shortened video, BTW. “Bang Bang” is my personal favorite of this show though may not be the best of NGT performances. I loved them all.
In order to truly appreciate that she changes her voice, phrasing, you have to listen the original artist who made the original songs famous. For instance, this one is from Billie Holiday. Billie's style is extremely distinctive. Angelina will use a different voice depending on who she's covering. She's done exactly that throughout her childhood covers. Not carbon-copy. Never that. But recognizably in tribute and appreciation. Before listening to her version of Etta James' "At Last", listen to Etta James' first. Same for Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, etc.

Angelinas fans are of all ages but I read somewhere older fans listen but do not buy. We have to download if we want her to appear in mainstream charts so everyone can find out about her. It's all very well her being in the Spotify retro chart but not everyone who will love her will look in the retro charts. Everybody loved Amy Winehouse and I truly believe Angelina has that same potential.

There are some (reactors and others reported among fans) who are harder to win over. They come with expectations for something different. I typically tell someone new to listen to at least three songs before forming an opinion.

From the age of 3 years old, Angelina has been intensely studying the jazz greats such as Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Dinah Washington, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, and many more. She has spent most of her free time searching and listening to videos on RUclips and records/CDs that she has. I don't think she really consciously tries to imitate or be like any other singer, I honestly think she just knows that this is what music should sound like and it just comes out. Don’t worry about holding back the tears. They are common. Upon discovering Angelina, I had more tears in three days than the previous 56 years combined, and tears every day since (except five/six) for more than a year. After hearing nearly her entire catalog, I am still shook when she releases something new, because she never ceases to surprise.
There is a slightly longer version out there ( ruclips.net/video/LXknLZDoRVQ/видео.html&pp=iAQB8AUB ), as this one was cut for TV. Which you don't notice, as her relative pitch was perfect throughout the song.

As he explained in an answer to the first comment, all that was needed was a global pitch correction of a halftone on the backing track, and extending the paused between phrases. You can see it were the video is slowed down, and hear it due to changes in the background noise.
I’m pretty sure she was last in this session to get into the semifinals, in fact I think she sang last at every phase of the competition including the first audition. It wouldn’t be possible for someone to follow her because most people have the same reaction as you, they wouldn’t be able to continue after a shock to their system. And remember, she got 46% of the votes in the finals out of 10 acts, that was a landslide.
