This still sounds as fresh as it did when i got my CD in 98. Time will move forward but this album will always be timeless. The whole album is a MASTERPIECE and should be listened to from beginning to end in its entirety.

Best live version Ive heard thus far some of the other live versions missing big parts of the songs. The AH's are missing in parts of this version and some key's are off in different parts of the songs but over all I'd say 90% of this song is complete to the recorded version.
Extraordinary - I assisted to many Air’s shows around the world but only yours respect the originaI sound and feeling. I would honestly prefer to assist to your shows than Air’s. I listened to Moon Safari album at least 5000+ times since it launch and you guys deeply understand the concept. Great work ☺️
Wow, that was incredible! This is one of my favorite songs of all time, btw! ;-) A lot of the sounds were spot on, they sounded just like the original recording. Loved the bass sound, although it sounds different than the original (i think it misses the specific attack of the original). Check out my all-guitar-cover of Femme d'Argent (here on youtube) if you like! :-)
I got kind of a funny story about this song. I had a friend that worked in a CD store in the town I live in and I took this to him to play at the Store. He was a little weird with music like me becuase neither of us like the Radio at all. Well took it in the store and put it on the Stereo system they had down there, About three seconds after I pused play a man walked into the store that me or my buddy that worked there ever seen before. He browsed around the store for a bit and then this song was over. My friend then pulled the disc out and he really liked it. The man that came in asked me and my friend what he just heard and I told him La Femme d' Argent by a group called Air French Band. He then told us he was a Magician and he bought a copy and told us both that song would be perfect for his live performance. He bought a copy and left and I never seen him again and I never got his name.
Justin Meldal-Johnson is the bass writer of this marvelous composition ~ very, very important, nothing to be taken lightly in how amazing this song is. BECK's main bassist for almost 20 years ~ one of the most influential players in rock and roll from the late 90's - currently.
No he's not, you are mistaken. He toured with them as a backing member in 1998, but Nicolas Godin has gone into detail about he came up with the baseline for La Femme D'Argent.
So Air did their live anniversary tour of Moon Safari, and for the most part Le Nouvel Orchestre Eletro is much better at playing Air's album than Air is.
Hi Barbara, this is actually a project called "Moon Safari Live" by Le Nouvel Orchestre Électro who have faithfully recreated Moon Safari so that it can be enjoyed live, whilst sounding as close to the original album as possible.
This is not Air (the French Band). It's The Preservation Room Orchestra. This is a good performance of the Air classic, but it's nowhere close to the sexy ethereal glide, the gurgling Korg MS-20 backdrop, and the soaring Moog solo exit of the analogue-driven real thing.
J'aime bien toutes les versions en spectacle de ce morceau instrumental mais celle -çi m'apparait comme la mieux dosée. Trop de batterie enlève un peu de la félicité de la performance. C'est personnel bien sûr.
