EPIC...#proudimamerican ❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤
Lee of course wrote the song and is 77 yrs old..not bad huh ?!
Lee greenwood can still sing his butt off.
I enjoyed it God bless America
I am a retired disabled veteran and I will tell you this. Every time I hear this song I wish I could stand up and go back! This is what this song does to us
This song is really something that brings tears to my eyes.
It used to bring tears to my eyes...now I weep.
From this old Desert Storm Vet , thank-you for doing this today , and showing the whole world hasn't forgotten about the good men and women who have, do, and will defend freedom , with our lives if that's what it takes.
Thank you for your service
@@lesli148 Thank-you for your support .
from one vet to another thank you for your service 20 year AF vet also desert storm
thank you for your service!
Thank you!
Wow! You get it better than some Americans. Thanks for the reaction and the kind words
Americans are patriotic because we '"own" the country. It belongs to us, the people. No Kings, Queens, Czars, dictators. It's about the "Constitution" that guarantees that we own the country and will not allow someone to declare themselves our King.
Lee Greenwood sounds as good now, as he has ever been. Geez! Amazing song! Love that the men and women, that are fighting to make our country safe, got to sing in this arrangement ! Great reaction 🎉 I love Home Free😊
This song has been around for decades, but this is by far the best version.
36 years... goodness it doesn't seem that long. I was 30 years old when this came out. Time certainly stands still for no one.
I was unbelievably impressed with Adam Rupp in the second half of that video
I am an American that never served the armed forces, but I swear I would stand up to defend her still today!
God bless the the USA
Did you catch Adam’s Jet fly by at the end. Perfect.
Yes! :-D
Loved that!
Happy you heard it too
Being an American, I am very proud of my country and our wonderful military members, past and present. I want to thank you for your beautiful, heartfelt, very kind words in your comments!
Thank ya for doin this one an recognizing what so many Americans have forgotten, how great our country is an our Veterans and Troops.. From a 14yr Army Vet 🇺🇸🤠🤘🏼🏴🇺🇸🤠🤘🏼🏴

Laura George Thank You
thank you for your service from one vet to another 20 year Air Force vet
@@ronfuqua2117 Thank you all for your service and God bless always
@@elealehblue6429 you are of course very welcome
They all did a fantastic job of doing this. Adam with those drum beats...Holy COW!!! And then right at the end he hit a Kettle drum sound, then immediately changed over to the military jets doing a fly by sound. And Lee Greenwood still has it!!! He actually did a lot more ad lids then he had in his original version. And the USAF Singing Sergeants was like adding the cherry on top. Great Reaction, as always. Thanks, Pat!
Cindy Flory ...The military jets sound ... Again.....ADAM ‼️. Damn .... he’s GOOD !!!!!
As an American, I appreciate you reacting this one! This is like a second anthem for us since it’s been such a recognizable song! Lee still sound the same! I love the collaboration!! I love my country and we are celebrating our Independence Day today (the 4th).
I’m American and Proud! Love this song.
Some of us could care less about the chants but I will always stand UP and salute, defend and respect our flag!!
The singing sergeants did the Air Force proud proud American Air Force vet your words at the end mean alot thank you
Thank you for your service!
Mate. I have always enjoyed your reactions. They are fantastic and this is no different. As a Vet this song is very much a personal song. This song gets played when we graduate basic training in the military. It is more that just the country for us Veterans. It's about our brothers and sisters in arms. So thanks again mate. Excellent reaction again
Thank you for your service!
Thumbs up for recognizing the fantastic voice of the Lady at 2:20. Only a few seconds, but she made my eyes wet.
This song just sums up the way I feel about this wonderful country.
Lee is 77 yrs old in this video and he s even better than when he first released it.
Thank you for doing this song on the 4th. A lot of our young people don’t understand what it is to be an American. It breaks my heart. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this today. Absolutely beautiful version.
That's Americans true to the song.I love it every time I hear.Wonderful you need to know all of them we are free.
Lee is still amazing! His voice gave me chills in this
Talking patriotic songs: I love the New Zealand Anthem, I get teary with the Welsh one. Lovely.
I love my country. This brought tears.
The castle is actually a recording studio in Franklin, TN. right outside of Nashville called The Castle Studio.
And Al Capone's old hideout in the Nashville area. Awesome place to record.
Was Geraldo there to check out the vault?
Right in the feels. Proud for Home Free to do this with Lee Greenwood and the service men and women. The guys aren't ego driven so letting their featured artists shine is how they roll. This collaboration is wonderful. I love Adam's jet fly over sound at the end. Outdoor sporting events usually have a flyover. The first time I went to a NASCAR race and at the end of the National Anthem when they had the flyover, it gave me chills and made me feel so proud. Great reaction.
This song is so very meaningful to many Americans and to me as a veteran. Lee Greenwood wrote this song many years ago and it is like a 2nd national anthem. It has been played for years at events like 4th of July fireworks and you can hear many people in the crowd singing along. It always gives me chills and makes me proud. I got to see Lee Greenwood sing it live at his theater in Tennessee and it left me in tears. Thank you for sharing this.
We call it...LOVE OF OUR COUNTRY, and those who DIED to give us our FREEDOMS, even from the BRITS long ago!
❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤
This song we definitely need here in the USA at the moment. Esp since today is 4th of July. So beautiful. And Adam Rupp 💯💯 That Fly over at the end😭😭🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Lee is the writer and original. ❤ Anthem Lights also uploaded their version of this song too
I played this the other day for 19th anniversary of 9/11. Still emotional. Our country so needs this
77 years old and still throwing down. Damn Lee!!
Love Home Free!! Lee and USAF were amazing!!Thanks for your reaction!!❤❤ Respect to our military!! Appreciate your remarks!!❤🇺🇸
It's such an emotional song - even as a Brit you can't escape some of the impact. And this is such an incredible version, particularly kudos to Adam for his drumming, it's just awesome. They did all go into the studio to record this, rather than in their closets, but still close to home - Adam and Rob in Minnesota, Chance in LA, Tim and Austin in Nashville and the Air Force in DC.
A genuine thank you for your perspective from Australia and sharing this song today!
Thank you for your reaction! This song is just breathtaking!
What a beautiful collaboration ❤🎉
I saw him perform at the San Antonio stock show and Rodeo in 1983 or 84. He wore blue jeans a purple shirt and white jacket.
Ohhh. It's so nice of you to react to this on the Fourth of July holiday... I found it fascinating that the blonde female (sorry, I don't have her name) participated in a singing contest by the military band. She won and then had to go through boot camp (?) like everyone. I just thought it was fascinating because most people have their reasons for joining the military. Hers was from winning a contest. I hope my memory is correct as I type this.
As the daughter of a United States Air Force Veteran, thank you for acknowledging the sacrifice of time-not everyone remembers that. Great reaction!
We sure do love our country. We are so thankful to all those who gave their lives so that we can protest and scream and march and sit in and act like fools for what we believe. We try to agree to disagree, to be thankful we won't be bulldozed for what we believe. BTW Lee is not that short. Home Free is just that tall. They average over 6'1" and if you add in their cowboy boots,,,, 6'3". Most fans who have their photos taken with these guys look like tiny tots. I always say "You have now entered the land of the A Capella Giants." These guys are seriously HUGE!!! And much beloved.
Lee Greenwood wrote and originally released this song
Note: I believe Lee Greenwood was like 77 years old when this was recorded. At his age, he still has a great voice and wrote a beautiful song
It should say Lee Greenwood ft Home Free and the Air force band. Lee wrote this year's ago
Always makes me tear up.
Was anybody else smiling and nodding the entire time?
Hi. I'm American and I always find it interesting to get a non-American POV for content like this. This song is a special one to a lot of people and it's one of my favorites. Also shout out to Adam Rupp for the snare drum and fly over at the end. Amazeballs!
EVERYONE in every country has this patriotism - when it comes down to it, you KNOW you’d stand up for your way of life just as we are doing … we’re trying to do it for others as well which is what gets us called “nosey” 🤭 😮We’re just trying to help. 🥰🇺🇸
Thanks for your reaction.
I also saw the video they released a week before this about the making of this. It was a nice teaser for the video
that video was pretty cool!
This is a song he wrote.
Another song that’s a great listen is I.O.U. It’s a great song for your lady.
This is a great country with some big problems right now, but we will survive....Happy 4th all.
God bless planet 🌎.
I too picked out the Black woman... I wanna hear more from her... I loved her nice smooth voice..
Yes, she has a great voice. There are probably videos on line of the Air Force Band Singing Sergeants. They were featured in the 4th of July celebration at the White House this year. The entire show is on The White House YT channel.
God bless these wonderful artists and military for standing up and singing this patriotic song.....especially with so many trashing their own country......as an Aussie I got chills listening to this....Let's hope the world madness will fade away....and people learn to care for each other again.
Thanks Lyle another great reaction video
Ms. Holliday! Yes! I really liked her line, but I wish there had been more! Altos are my favorite. Anyone know where I can get more of her?
Lee Greenwood actually adopted this song into another song titled “God Bless You Canada”.
This song almost makes me cry everytime. Love it. Yes most of us are pretty patriotic for sure. I will leave it that. Good day.
Late commenting on this but so glad you reacted to this. This song is pretty much considered the adopted national anthem. People know this better than the actual USA anthem. Lee is probably the most patriotic entertainer out there. This version is awesome but you should also listen to the original. This song brings chills every time I hear it and the original recording is just so powerful.
I tear up every time I hear this song. Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans! This was incredible!
Thank you Pat for this stupendous reaction. You are our Aussie hero! #patrocks. Chuck in NE Kansas, USA
Love That Song !
God Bless the USA is Lee Greenwood's song. IT is a great video.
They didnt incorporate the Airforce band. Lee did. He also was the one who asked Home Free to join him in his project.
I’m not crying, you’re crying. [sniff] People like to hate on patriotism, but just as much as it is pride in what is, its a set of goals for what we are striving to be.
Great rendition, awesome reaction! And, as always, thanks so much to those who serve! Cannot say that often enough.
Thank you! Beautiful rendition
I loved your reaction because you didn't interrupt the song once.
Love this version and this reaction. And damn, LG, you’re still doing it at 77 years old!
Thank you for reacting to this one, Pat. It means so much to so many of us here in the USA--even though I'm sure the news doesn't seem that way lately (sigh).
Somebody did a study like 3 or 4 years ago, and they said America was the 2nd most patriotic country in the world. I thought who was #1? Turns out......Thailand!!!
Wow,they all gave the justice this song deserves ❤️❤️😘❤️❤️
I love the harmony in this song. Gday
God bless the USA and the rest of the world as well. There are good people everywhere.
Adams beatboxing is phenomenal
ON OCT. 27 LEE WILL BE 79 HE WAS BORN IN 1942, 6 YEARS BEFFORE ME
Dude I'm on the left (My poitical channel is even called "Politically on the Left) and in Australia I would be considered Center to show you how far right our country seems to be, but even I who am critical of tRump all day long, STILL LOVE MY COUNTRY. You have no idea how this song, penned just in 1984, can move Americans to tears - Right, Left, or Center, White, Black or Brown or Latino or Asian, THIS song will do it. I cried, a 60 year old dude yes in tears when I heard this for the 1st time on Thursday last week. Lee is in his 70's now and can still bring it
They brought our a "making of" or behind the scenes for this one and it's really good. This was so well done! Thanks! ^_^
Awesome
Lee wrote this. He still sounds great at 78! Be sure to watch the Making of this video! Did you hear the Flyover sound at the end? Loved the additions Lee made!! We needed this song today to unite our country! HF sangthis at Mt. Rushmore 20 years ago! Thanks to all the musicians for this performance! Gratitude to all the service men that protect our country!! Great Reaction!! Happy 4th of July!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Loved it ! Loved it so much I shared my favorite Scott on my FB page. Saluting you from the great state of Texas in the USA.
So awesome good job
Thank you, Pat for sharing this. No matter what is going on in the world, us Americans are proud of our country. We do our best to show our respect towards our armed forces, those that served and are serving. I always love your range of material that you react to. Happy 4th of july from the USA to you in Australia. Cheers.
You'll Never Walk Alone best anthem in UK To all those serving in all nations to protect our freedom and safety Thank You for your service and God Bless You All
Thank you for the 4th of July wishes and shoutout. Proud American and Texan here, this song gets me misty-eyed every time I hear it and this version moreso than the original. Absolutely love that Lee got to shine on this version. I watched the "Making Of" video where he mentioned it was the first time he really got to interpret his own song for the first time. You should really check out that video too.
Beautiful update to this song. Love that they included the Air Force Band
Be sure and watch their behind the scenes video putting this together with everyone all over the country. The great arranger Darren Rust is a genius and he coached Lee on his new parts and made it awesome. Thanks so much! Take care.
I agree. That video is awesome! They featured everybody including the Air Force Band Singing Sergeants and showed the scenes from the recording sessions.
For more of the Singing Sergeants go to The White House RUclips channel and watch the 4th of July celebration from this year. They were featured on there and also did some upbeat songs with guitars.
Love that hat man, remembers me of the greatest manager in football history like the best ever Potus in history both from Scotland 🏴
I think it's interesting to see what the rest of the world thinks of us here in America!
always liked this song by lee greenwood, i like how they did it from different states
Loving your reaction. You should watch Home Free's original cover of this from 2016. It is the foundation for this version with its arrangement from Chris. Look forward to more!
Have you reacted to "Meet In The Middle" yet? Thanks. Love your reactions!
Thank you for your great comments! And I was happy to hear that you enjoyed that 2nd womens voice as well!
Happy 4th of July to everyone.
