Rock Hudson was a legend. People insist on talking about his private life. I choose to see the great leading man he was in Giant, Written On The Wind, Seconds, Ice Station Zebra with the greatest stars like Liz Taylor, James Dean, Dorothy Malone, Lauren Bacall and course his comedies with Doris Day. MacMillan And Wife with Susan Saint James is a movie of the week I remember on Sunday on Channel 4. Like it was yesterday. RIP, Rock Hudson.
For the insurance ? That's not misguided. Dont forget that in the early 80s those who had AIDS usually died in 18 months. But it's funny what he said , that because of AIDS Hollywood would cut the sex scenes. Actually the opposite happened. Basic instinct and 9 1/2 weeks are two good examples.
@@dora1980 I was referring to the perceived risk of transmission .... making a film with an HIV positive actor would not pose any risk unless the movie was a porn film - The time from diagnosis to death has nothing to do with it.
@@M15Guys You' re right. In the '80s they knew AIDS was an STD but there was a lot of talk for many years about the saliva. They were not sure about that.Maybe they thought they could get AIDS from a kiss.
Thanks for posting this. I love Rock Hudson. He was the definition of male movie star and I love lots of his films.
You are very welcome, Leigh.
