What I noticed is he only used aluminum rivets. A true test of any riveting tool, hand or power is when fastening (pulling) Stainless Steel rivets. If I am going to spend $200 plus for a cordless riveting tool it has to pull 1/4" SS rivets all day long else I will stay with my $100 pneumatic or $40 longhandle.

  • @alexandrelord6712

This is not the only battery rivet gun available on the market. Stanley make good ones as well. Also, if the stems break clean, it is not because of the tool. It’s because you put the right size nose tip and you use a well made rivet. By the way, if you are looking for better and more versatile rivets, check Avdel rivet solutions. “Pop” style rivets don’t last under vibration, constant tensile and shear pressures.

God I would have killed to have had one of those back when I worked at a truck shop where we worked on boxes a lot with riveted tin sides, if there wasn't room in a bay or you had to work on one outside for some reason you'd have to drag out a bunch of air hose. I was lucky enough however to have what I believe was the first set of battery powered tin shears so when I needed some tin I didn't have to put the roll that was on the side of the building on a cart and roll it inside or drag a whole bunch of air hose outside to reach to the side of the building which was sick! All the other guys that had power tin shears had pneumatic ones and they were all jealous of my battery powered ones and they all pretty much never asked me to use them cuz they know how protective and OCD I am of my tools. I would let my friend Gary use them but he was the only one cuz i trusted him with my tools he knew the rule of you break it you buy it and I trusted him.

I returned this tool to home depot. For the record, I own and love/like all of my Fuel tools (to date I own 15 different tools). This tool just jammed to much. It is generally good with smooth mandrel rivets, but every single rivet with serrated mandrels gets jammed. It took me a half hour to free up the last one.

I had this for a day and returned it just cause it didn't do 1/4 rivets. Which I used daily

All good, but how much is it? Unless you need to pop rivet every other day, it's probably not worth it, with cost of tools, batteries.etc, especially if you don't have any Milwaukee tools to begin with!

I'll agree with that. This is for someone that uses rivets on a daily basis or in a body shop.
