    Thanks for this amazing video. but i have doubt. So do we need to put the hole first before putting the rivet ? or does the riverte does the job of creating a hole and then insert rivert by itself ?

      @aviationkitbuilder  Год назад +2

      The hole has to be drilled first and then you insert the rivet and then pull the rivet with the rivet gun. Thanks for watching.

      We have a 24' box trailer that has screws holding the outside panels instead of rivets. We have to take out all screws and replace them with rivets. Should we hire a professional since there are probably 200 screws? If we do it which Rivets gun would you use?

    @aviationkitbilder, I do not think the Milwaukee rivet gun issue that you have reported, has to do with corrosion in internal parts. My brand new piece has the same problem, where in the tool does not suck in the mandrel in to the collector. Also the first time, the rivet just got jammed which reportedly has been reported by many other users. Also today I started riveting the Empennage Rear Spar channel and the tool just does not consistently pull the rivets.

      Perhaps, sorry to hear you are having issues with yours. I liked the idea of the Milwaukee gun a lot (battery instead of air lines, and price) wish it had better reliability.

    Can you point me to the extra tip you needed for the XT2?

    • @aviationkitbuilder
      @aviationkitbuilder  2 года назад +1

      It’s the 3/32” size nose piece for the 2.4mm rivets. It normally goes with the XT1 but will fit the XT2. Here’s the part number information from three day tool. PRN314 NOSE PIECE 3/32 OPEN END RIVETS Part #119

      @@aviationkitbuilder Thanks. My XT2 is still in it’s box waiting on a kit. Wasn’t sure if it came with everything needed.

      I don’t think there are all that many of those small rivets but you’ll need something to pull them.

    Good morning everyone.
    I hope someone can help me, I am about to buy the PROSET XT2 riveter, but I would like to know if someone already has it with them so that they can help me to know the diameter of the nozzle for the rivets, the area where I am going to rivet has a space of 8.88mm wall to wall and has a depth of 8.5mm, I would like to know if the nozzle can go in here.
    I hope someone can help me with this.

      I would say no, it won’t fit. The actual changeable tips are about 6mm long depending on which size and have a diameter again depending on size ranging from 5-8mm. After the end of the tip it flares out to 11mm as it screws into the nose piece. Try finding a small hand riveter maybe. I have three guns and a hand riveter and none of them would work with your dimensions.
