    You only bought Aveo vents for the 4 fresh air locations, right? Do you recall what sizes? Those things are so expensive it makes my eyes cross.

    • @aviationkitbuilder
      @aviationkitbuilder 5 дней назад

      Correct, I only used the 2” Aveo Air Maxi vents for the fresh air. Those vents close up really well and since I didn’t install any sort of mechanical cutoff for the fresh air, the vents are doing that. To save money, I used the Sling provided vents for the heat. I don’t care that they don’t close off 100% since I can turn off the heater fan. The vent on the floor in the back is pretty hidden so another reason to save the expense.

    • @ericlaw2416
      @ericlaw2416 5 дней назад

      @@aviationkitbuilder Ok, I had been leaning towards doing the same. The heater has 4 outlets. Are you capping off 1 of them if you’re running things to a T up front and in back?

    • @aviationkitbuilder
      @aviationkitbuilder 5 дней назад

      @@ericlaw2416 I actually capped off two of the ducts coming off the fan. I pulled the specs on the heater fan and two of the ducts seems to be is plenty to accommodate the CFM’s produced. I then ran one 2” scat tube to a splitter to two 1” lines for the backseat heat. The other 2” line goes to the T splitter for front seat heat. I did not hook up a line to the defroster at Slings direction.

      @paulborror2544 5 дней назад

      @@aviationkitbuilder Great information. Thanks. I've looked at multiple heat and ventilation options and leaning towards doing mine exactly as you described. I asked at Midwest Sky Sports about the defroster. They hook it up on their builds and said it helps to keep the windscreen clear. They didn't seem to know why Sling says to leave it disconnected.

    • @aviationkitbuilder
      @aviationkitbuilder 5 дней назад

      I went back and forth on the defroster but left it off in the end. The defroster really needs a more direct path from the fan to the vents. I figured at best you were allowing some warm air to rise up to the windshield.

    Looks great! I'd look into going past a car paint protection film (PPS) application company and ask then to do either a Matt or the shiny regular PPS on the stick!? It'll be cheap as the sticks are small and they can use offcuts! If it protects million $ super/hypercar paintwork against chips etc at high speed it'll protect yr stick! Also ultra thin so most probably won't need play with it at top and bottom fitting grips and into floor... Vinyl gets sticky messy, not? Hope that helps! Love your channel. Blessings Andrew B

    Awesome job! What an adventure to say the least. Question regarding the brake upgrade with larger calipers: It looks as though if a tire goes flat, the tire could 1) hit the side of the caliper, 2) the caliper will then be lower than the wheel and potentially hit the ground. Perhaps the original caliper was mounted that low and would pose the same issues? And of course this is only based on seeing what is in your videos, but wanted to ask and bring to your attention if potential issue.

    • @aviationkitbuilder

      I hadn’t given that any thought, but there is almost always a cost somehow to making upgrades, even if it’s just time or cost. I looked at my pictures but don’t have a good angle to really tell if there’s an issue. I will take a look when I get off work.

    My Milwaukee gun has pulled about 1000 rivets on my fabric install so far with minimal jams - maybe two or three times. I removed the o-ring and ball bearing on the nosepiece that retain the stem. That allows the stem to drop back into the catch can easily. My only complaint is the handle size is too large (I have big hands too, wouldn’t be ergonomic for someone with smaller hands).
